  • Here is the finale. Down to a G1 with relative ease for Tim. Much funnier version this time since Jim Hefner had just gotten finished calling Tim "Timothy". Mark almost had to leave the stage.

@dabeinman Jim Hefner is the tenor singer. The Southmen is the group Tim sang bass with before joining Gold City. I can remember seeing The Southmen at my parents church in the early '70's as a kid. Tim was great then ... he's awesome now!

my goodness he IS the best ever. I would give anything to hit those low notes. I'm a bass singer myself. At first I thought the guy from the fairfield four was low, but tim has more control over his notes. WOW! he is just amazing! anyone beg to differ? I didn't thing so.....

JD could sing it lower, but his voice did not have the "cut" like Tim Riley's does.

sounded like he struggled on that G1, seemed like he couldn't find the note

It his old age. Although his power may seem to have stayed the same, he used to be able to nail an F1 without much effort.

@dabeinman you find a g1 out of nowhere lol not that stinking easy he got stuck on the note above it and it took a second to get off of it and down to the next one but its still an awesome video =)

If you want to talk about natural cut look up London Parris Also he was lower then Tim who has an Eb1 mixed London had a Db1 chest voice.

@@crunchycrackers7364 The lowest note Tim ever hit was an Eb1 it was a mixed note a strong mixed note but by his own admission was his lowest note. London is credited with a Db1 by the James Blackwood and as low as A0 by many folks in Gospel music. He has recorded multiple Eb1’s in full voice I’ll post links to those I’ve seen on UA-cam.
