Went to a concert back in the day headlined by Evanescence, but was there to see Chevelle. Long story short Evanescence put on by far the best show and I was blown away at how good they were live. Amy is also probably the busiest lead singer that I have ever seen.
These type of songs should be blasted from airplanes as they drop DMT across the areas at war, it would be peace in 24 h's.

Damn, I didn't know that. It definitely makes sense. My uncle died of cancer when I was 11 and I fell into depression. That song hit me hard. I felt it was through the eyes of someone who lost a loved one really young..And being told to be strong for the family..hence "I'm the lie living for you so you can hide, don't cry."..putting on an act for everyone else so you're not an added burden on your family's grief. I felt that through her song Amy Lee was the only one who really understood.

Evanescence saved my life in high school. Kept me alive during a very rough time. They're doing it once again during this rough patch I hit right now. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do more Evanescence reactions. You got goosebumps from this? You thought they'd be a harder rock group? DEFINITELY check more of their stuff out. If you get a chance, check out some more live performances from Anywhere But Home DVD. They're behind the scenes stuff is pretty funny if you want a feel of the lead singer, Amy Lee's, HILARIOUS personality. Such a soft, sweet voice, but when she's on the mic, she's a completely different person. So many amazing female rockers I'd love to see more of. Especially Halestorm. Their lead singer, Lzzy Hale, is a BADASS. Thanks for the laughs during this troubling times in 2020. Take care, from another native in Ohio. :)

Yes, you feel it because it's very emotional due to fact she wrote this cause her sister died at very young age and I get it. This song came out about same time my very young niece passed away and I cry every time I hear it. That's been 15 yrs and I still have that reaction. It never leaves you....NEVER!
