to be fair it makes sense to have more power in reverse so people don't tighten bolts with it then need a breaker bar to take it apart and its got more torque than most smaller fasteners will handle so im not so sure thats a bad thing
Yeah, but market that power in reverse only. The driving force is nowhere even close. I'm tired of playing the guessing game for them. Maybe they meant this or that. They clearly market things a certain way and fall short time and time again. When you spend thousands of dollars for their tools, it starts to get old. There are speed selectors for that and a trigger sensitivity. Definitely should have speed 3 and go full bore when driving little screws. Common sense to me. Thanks for sharing, buy the Impact if you haven't, just don't expect what's advertised
@ChristianElectrician ive got all Milwaukee, I'm still rocking an impact driver from 2 generations back I just haven't found any need to upgrade, it breaks deck screws and will take lugnuts off the van so I don't know that it should have more power, I have impact wrenches for the bigger stuff and a 1/4 shank adapter can only handle so much.
I almost want this impact but 200$ for the bare tool is a bit of a reach. I want TTC to reevaluate one bought from Home Depot I need a small nut buster and want to know if they are still hitting like that . Oh and The graphic is from the the drill’s perspective 😂😂
I am fully integrated in 20v and 12v Dewalt platform. However, i got the m12 basic tools as a backup just because of how confusing Dewalts lineup and misleading advertising can be. Why dont they put in 500% faster than the hand ratchet? Shame on them. You expect a lot from them and drop the ball every time. Even that DCD1007 cant compare with Milwaukee and Flex.
Dewalts hammer drills have always been solid. They are better in hammer function than Milwaukee. Milwaukee might be slightly better in other modes. Dewalt is in the top 3 most of the time and hsa it's 1st and 2nd place from time to time. The misleading is almost a deal breaking point though. It's like they just want to trap you to a battery platform, perhaps all tool companies want to.
@@ChristianElectrician not sure i agree, i can't tell you the exact model as i don't own it but my foremans DeWalt hammer drill screams like a banshee and struggles just to put in 4-6" tapcons into concrete meanwhile my gen 3 & 4 M18 does the same thing damn near half the high pitch noise and twice the speed if not more. Could be a older model not sure but he bought it give or take 3 years ago.
Everything is based on their testing. We may run different tests, different specific modles of lags etc. the dcf860 does have a lot of torque. Is it the fastest, no, not at all. They also never claimed to be the fastest or the best.
I hear you but when you state that it's 282Nm or 2500 in-lbs it is inferred that it is the strongest when cross referencing other impacts. It is the strongest impact, but only in reverse. The torque is considerably lower in driving fasteners. It wasn't marketed that way. I'm tired of the excuses. We have to continuously speak for them and give reasoning they never even said in their marketing. The thing states 2500 in-lbs and shows a nut being drove clockwise on the box. However it's clear false advertisement. When you spend thousands of dollars on a tool brand, it starts to bother you when excuses and it's advertisement is a continuous thread.
@@ChristianElectrician While I understand your complaints and I do wish that it was slightly stronger in forward, Its not false advertisement. It does state based on max torque, but doesnt claim forward or reverse. No court would find them guilty based on a picture. I agree, they do have the technology to make it much stronger in its driving capability and wish they would. Again, im not saying the complaints are invalid because they 100% are. We just have to give our feeback and criticism for them to improve and deliver better overall, to each brand. Thats how everyone wins.
That's fine, you are entitled to your opinion. My issue is with the marketing. Say 2500 in-lbs breakaway torque, not in driving when it's a fraction of that. I am definitely anticipating a better product in the future, they will come out with something better, I will review it when they do.
For one thing they did not say it was better then flex or Milwaukee they said it's better then their own and second you never used the equal battery to those brands
First of all, I used 5ah powerstack, 9ah flexvolt, and 12ah flexvolt against Milwaukee, and it still lost. Second of all, they marketed it as 282Nm, which is supposed to crush all the competition. They never said the power would be in reverse, and the driving torque is way less. I think TTC said it was only 160Nm in forward. Which is crazy.
@@user-jm4nj7nz6t there is a big difference in "Crying" and complaining about false advertisement/claims, take a pill just cause you're a DeWalt fanboy doesn't mean they can do no wrong and you have to attack people for airing their problems with the products, Grow up & do better. granted with that username you're probably just a bot/troll acc so doubt that'll change.

Still waiting for the moment people realize this power race is going nowhere. What am I going to do with 10 percent more power if ergonomics or longevity suck for example
Your concerns is based on a what if. The Dewalt has a 3 year warranty and Milwaukee has a 5 year warranty. They are the top of their market. They don't suck, they both are really strong and are in the top.of the market. Both power tool companies are the most innovative and they provide high quality tools.
I think the dewalt 860 is what they say it is but the batches seem inconsistent if its true @toolsnstuff i think is the channel compared the dewalt and m18 and the dewalt won almost everytime but on other channels its the other way around looks like they need to go back to the drawing board if thats the case
I went straight for the Forge vs. Powerstack, which is what people wanted to see. That's what people on UA-cam want and comment on, so that's what I gave them. I never use regular batteries for my impact or daily power tools like saws and such. Regular batteries I just use for radio or fan, etc. I saw the video you're talking about, and I'm as shocked as you are. However, I drive big lags most of the time, 5 inches and up. That's where you can see a shift in the testing. Forge vs. powerstack right away as well.

Let’s see how long they last I’m afraid to use my Milwaukee impacts afraid of breaking it again.
I really think Dewalt dropped the ball on this one all the other impacts were dead on top notch this one fell short.

I just bought the 860. The grip on the handle squeaked. Does yours just curious?
Yes a minor one
Just snagged one off Amazon for $116
Awesome deal!
You can get the 860 for $100 right now from HD BOGO deal. Priced at $100 I have no issues with it being what it is.

The new DCD1007 is top notch, shame Dewalt dropped the ball on the impact.
