As a welder Milwaukee has many tools that do a lot on the job site. But dewalt being compatible with matco batteries its just too good.
I'm pretty sure Dewalt can match Milwaukee on the innovation side, at least almost. That is an interesting point, the compatibility with batteries.
Get some earplugs man.
@@HighGrade_FireBlade I usually use them, just not in this video.
well metabo hpt and makita xgt make a much better reciprocating saw than any other brand and they didn’t invent it

Idk why dewalt gets so much hate, they make good tools and their honestly getting better
@malikcunningham6771 people judge it off their impact driver, which is the number 1 used tool on the jobsite. Every trade uses the impact driver. Dewalts' impact is getting better. I hope the next one they make is even better.
@ their most recent to date impact is 2x better than Milwaukee. "DeWalt DCF870B" take a look for anyone who doesn't believe me.
Well you didn't use rigid in my opinion you're a fool to buy anything but rigid lifetime warranty on the tool and the batteries
@GregorySchmidt-p8t so anyone who buys anything without a lifetime warranty is a fool. Please never watch anyone of my videos or comment. Thank you
@ChristianElectrician it's not my fault you're an idiot
Between dewalt and Milwaukee you can’t go wrong. Each brand has a tool that out does the other. I have both I like the nail guns from Milwaukee over the dewalt but dewalt saws are better
Yeah, they have a bunch of great tools on both sides.
Watch the "torque test channel" video on the dcf961 it beat the milwaukee 3/4 inch impact also
Yep
Now do the kobalt xtr over the flex😭😂 why use the weaker gun?
1200 ft lbs breakaway torque is 300 pounds weaker than the FLEX. Go read the specs...
@ it’s actually 50lbs heavier😭😂 you go read the specs kobalt is 1200 and flex is 1150🤷🏽♂️ idk where you got your info from but the flex does not state it has 1500lbs of breakaway torque
@bubbagothandz7471 less stickers and comments and more research. You're looking at the Gen1 model and not the Gen2. I have the Gen 2... Straight from the website: "Rusty bolts and over-tightened lug nuts don’t stand a chance against the unrelenting power of the FLEX 24V ½” High-Torque Impact Wrench, which delivers up to 1,500 foot-pounds of maximum torque." Here's the website: www.flexpowertools.com/half-inch-high-torque-impact-wrench-fx1472/
You should've hold the body of everyone of them not only the Dewalt 🤔🤪
But the DeWalt is still the most powerful
I held the Dewalt like that because of the VTEC that kicks in after 4 seconds. If you need more proof, go watch my other two long videos where the Dewalt wins every time.
@@ChristianElectrician also torque test channel has a great video comparing them
Yep, TTC further cements the victory with facts, and I provided real-world testing. Thanks for the comment and view. God bless
Wheres that 10 stacked
Did you watch the short I made yesterday? Dewalt had a 5ah powerstack and still won. FLEX, just doesn't win this area, that's OK, they win in a lot of other videos.
Never had the chance to use that 20v beast, dewalts piping tools are pretty ass so we always run milwaukee. Wish i would see more dewalt recip saws on jobs though because i cant stand the milwaukee ones. We had an old 110 dewalt ½" And words cannot describe how much i hate that stupid double trigger design on that thing, i tried so hard to bust it, throwing it off 10' ladders, dragging it by the cord, drenching it in water. That old bastard just wouldnt die so credit where credit is due 😂
The Milwaukee Super Sawzall is the best, and it's only 18v. That thing is designed beautifully. The 60v Dewalt reciprocating saw is not that good compared to Milwaukee and FLEX. Dewalt just came out with some new plumbing tools and electrical, their electrical tools are pretty good, I'm gonna snag some of the electrical stuff in the future.
Oh yeah the supersaws are super nice but the standard ones do not hold up, I don't think I've killed a super yet but I do know I killed like 8 of the normal ones on the last demo job I was on 😂 In regards to the "only 18v" part though; all the lithium tools operate at the same voltage. The 18650 cells inside them at maximum charge carry a voltage of roughly 4.2v per cell, low voltage cutoff is 3.6v, so the 5 cells wired in series have have a range of 18v - 21v. (Dependant on charge) high output batteries follow the same design but with 21700 size cells. The only difference is in the marketing, 18v nominal or "20v max". Yeah I saw some of those, I'd love to get my hands on that new 60v threader to see how it compares to the rigid ones I'm used to.
@gamefreak22574 the point I was making is 60v vs 18v and the 18v still won. It's pretty common knowledge that Dewalts 20v marketing is nominal and 18v working voltage. Thanks for the view and comment, take care and God bless.
Dewalt baby 💪
The Dewalt DCF961 is king, hands down
I'd like to see the same test with the same grip on each torque... Clearly was more solid on the Dewalt with no wrist give / slip. Not sure if that would change outcomes, but if you're going to do a comparison the tests should be done equally.
@tylerkinch7968 since we are giving suggestions, I'll give you some as well. Let me learn you something real quick. If you watch my long format videos, which I always do and then I make shorts. You would see that I tested these back to back to back to back. 500 ft lbs, 650 ft lbs and several attempts at 750 ft-lbs. The only reason I'm holding the Dewalt like that is because of the VTEC it has, it vibrates pretty radical and I am doing that to hold it on. The Milwaukee and FLEX don't need that, that's why I'm just pulling with my left and pushing with my right to focus on the bolt alone. I have 2 long videos you can watch in detail and you'll see the Dewalt is 1st and Milwaukee 2nd then FLEX 3rd, in every video.
🤦
The 961 as of right now, is THE impact wrench if you’re working on heavy equipment, it straight shits on the comp and it’s impressive enough for you to say his wrist made a difference
Makita?
Makita would be 4th
Is Porter Cable not still considered in top 3 of construction tools? Or these days, maybe at least top 5? My kits are split between Dewalt and Porter mostly, W/a good amount of Milwaukee, too.
@@trevormiller3617 Dewalt is the Stanley Black and Decker main construction grade tool brand, especially their XR models.
@trevormiller3617 also, Porter Cable was bought out by Stanley Black and Decker in 2004.
Does the flex have less torque or fatigue to your wrist? Because they claim it, just curious.
Yes, the least vibration and power
Makita
Makita would be last, unless you can find another video proving otherwise. I test the three best of the leading construction tools.
Im a full time mechanic and a hobby woodworker. Die hard milwaukee all the way. Buuut, after my second milwaukee high torque impact crapped the bed, i now have one yellow tool in my arsenal at work. 😂😂. Still milwaukee only at home though. Cant compete on that impact though.
If we all bought the best of each power tool company, our tool boxes would be a mixture of these three and possibly others.
To be honest I've never actually tried the flex tools. Bur because of my ocd I am very strong to the red/black. So whether milwaukee, snap on, mac or matco it's always the scheme. A few green tools stand out though lol. For me a big part is the batteries. I don't want a bunch of batteries and chargers that are different. And with about 40 tools and 25 batteries with milwaukee, it's hard to invest in new sets.
@shawnchenette1898 That's exactly what each power tool company does. They get us invested into the battery platform, and then we only buy their tools. When we test tools, we see that certain brands win in certain areas. All three of these brands win in their respective areas. All good choices, but I have to say that Milwaukee and Dewalt are in the top two because of innovation, however, FLEX has gotten first in many day to day construction tools like the impact driver, hammer drill and one hand reciprocating saw.
Can't argue that.
@@shawnchenette1898 you're Milwaukee brand is made by Ridgid
No brainer still by Milwaukee DeWalt is junk
Dewalt is American owned and made in Mexico so those are both junk? And Milwaukee owned by China made by China/Vietnam isn't? I'm just gonna leave this logic right here. Also, it's buy* not by.
Good video but only one peeve,a bolts break away torque is not the same as its tightening torque. So you torquing them to 700+fp doesnt mean anything. If you put the torque adapter back on ans use the same breaker bar to lossen them itll be less then what you original torque them to
Torque it to 750 ft-lbs means it's torqued to 750 ft-lbs. That pressure is easier to release because it's under tension applied to a solid surface. The highest bolt torque i could do is 750 ft-lbs. So in this case it means exactly what I said. The results are just that as well. Thanks for the view and God bless
@ChristianElectrician yeah no problem like the vids you post and drf giving you a sub. But yeah I see your point but even under tension it'll still be less then the original torque unless it's been sitting there rusting or some sort of cold welding of the the two metals.
@@Ar2041 thanks for the sub, I appreciate it. 😊🙏👍
Make sense dewalt all the way
Wonder which will drill more 2-3” fasteners on a single battery charge. That would actually be more useful for 99% of daily users. Almost nobody runs 10” fasteners daily with an impact driver. A drill will smoke either of these. It’s entertaining, but not real world useful.
These are both useful impacts for both battery platforms. Tests like these are able to show torque, speed, and ergonomics of power tools. I like to use more efficient, powerful tools. Everyone already knows drills drive screws in faster. The impact driver is the innovative tool that people on the job site use every single day.
What about ryobi????
They'd be in last place.
I think you sped up the Milwaukee time! *Delusional FanBoy Screech* (Milwaukee fan btw)
🤣
I'm team Milwaukee all the way buuut I've used that Dewalt and it's a beast
It sure is
Was building a deck rim joists were 4x12 glue lams about 20 feet long maybe a little less. Cranked down on some lag bolts that were about 5 inches from the end of the board what i was bolting it to was a steel corner attached to a post that was a little out of square (hard to explain but you get the idea) and that dewalt bent that 20 foot span of 4x12 with only a few inches of leverage. We thought they were bowed and we were all tripping out cause we had never seen a bowed glue lam until we backed off the lag bolts a little
Problem is dewalts dont last like they should
The problem with your test is that you used the same bolt. Each time it was used, it burnished the threads reducing friction each time. Maybe use a separate bolt for each drill next time.
I did the test multiple times, go watch my full video in which I test these multiple times. It's the same order over and over.
@ChristianElectrician ok, good. I didn't see the whole video.
Nice. Ryobi
Are you talking about ryobis older brother Milwaukee?
D Team let’s get it🎉🎉🎉
Definitely the best High Torque
Nice video! I wonder if results would be any different and transfer more torque if you held the first 2 with both hands as you did with the dewalt ? They are all very close anyway
The only reason I held the Dewalt like that is because of the vtec is a bit wild on that thing. Same results on my longer format video that you can check out, it's 7-8 minutes long in my video section.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
Nice. Vid
Thank you!
Awesome video brother, both entertaining and educational, keep up the good work 👍
Thanks brother, I appreciate it!
Should have tested with 10-20 percent more torque. You quit too early. Dewalt was just warming up
The highest setting is 750 ft-lbs. I'll try and get a higher torque adapter
DeWalt is the best brand with very small excuse of some tools! All i Have is DeWalt and Makita
Each of the brands I test are the best in different areas.
@ChristianElectrician I agree with you
Flex vs dewalt dcf860
FLEX wins even more decisively
Great vid
Thanks Kaleb!
m18 is still my choice, the 961 is too big, heavy, and violent for a 1/2 I'd consider using. if I were shopping around for a 3/4 then dewalt would definitly be my first pick, until or unless milwaukee releases a 3/4 that can at least make more torque than their own 1/2.
I suppose it depends on the application. They are both high torque impact wrenches. They all have quite a bit of vibration. The VTEC takes some getting to used to, but it's so worth it because you know it's going to do almost any job.
the 964 is out now, its a 961 with a 3/4 anvil. delivers more torque than the 1/2 and it doesnt destroy sockets like the 1/2 will. honestly 3/4 is probably just better for the power levels we're looking at here
Great video man!
Appreciate it!
Try Hercules
I'm just doing the big three for now, FLEX Dewalt and Milwaukee. Hercules is a good brand for DIY or homeowners. I test the best construction brands.
Nice 😎
Thank you!
You can get the 860 for $100 right now from HD BOGO deal. Priced at $100 I have no issues with it being what it is.
That's fine, you are entitled to your opinion. My issue is with the marketing. Say 2500 in-lbs breakaway torque, not in driving when it's a fraction of that. I am definitely anticipating a better product in the future, they will come out with something better, I will review it when they do.
Dewalt babyyy!
@@CygnusX-pt1ms Dewalt takes the cake on this one
I really like how the Flex is made , Practically whole tool is ALUMINUM ...... 👍🖖
To be fair it's battery was a little undersized. Going to make a couple shorts today testing the DCF961 with 5ah powerstack and Milwaukee 6ah Forge. Is it going to change the outcome? I don't think so
Did Anyone really have any doubts Who was going to Win ..... 🤭😂🤣👍🖖
The DCF961 is a straight up beast
The Dewalt 961 was made for farm equipment use.
Source?
@ you can use it for basically anything, I was referring to farm equipment because most farm trucks require a strong break away torque. It’ll break away any car or truck bolts, but testing it in a farm vehicle with rusted bolts, it has no issues. There’s a lot of videos on the 961 on farm equipment.
Looking at these high torques just make my wrists hurt looking at them lol.
You can definitely feel the power with these High Torques!
Flex makes a 8 amp to now
Don't think it's STACKED LITHIUM
I think I'll make two shorts today and retest the Milwaukee with 6ah forge and Dewalt with a 5ah powerstack. Be on the lookout for those Mike
10 amp hour for sure when others have 8
I'll get a 10ah stacked Lithium and retest it in the future. They only sell it with the rear handle circular saw, though.
