I’ve been running the 36v triple hammer for about a year now. Best impact I’ve ever used.

Metabo HPT tools rock. I got myself the heat gun, based off of your review of it.

Have this new 18v driver. Plenty of power, speed and modes. Very pleased.

Does your chuck auto click bits in or do you have to pull the collar out for it to accept and lock the bits in??

@@randomreviews595the newest triple hammer does not have a quick connect collar, unfortunately. Still love it though

@@forrest8012 thanks I checked out another and realized afterwards it was just a different design and this is how it locks in.. I guess it’s okay since I always leave the magnetic bit extension in anyways. Thank you for replying

Does the little light for the mode selector turn off on yours? Mines stays on until I remove the battery

Can the Metabo impact driver really be used as a drill replacement? For simplicity, I want to have a drill/driver that has hammer function AND impact driver. Does this have the versatility to be excellent in all three categories? Unfortunately tools out there segregate so you need to buy a hammer drill/driver + impact driver but I'm looking for the holy grail that can merge both. The best of both worlds. Has Metabo made such a device? And if so which one?

Unfortunately no. Best is to get a combo kit if you need a hammer drill/impact driver. The mechanics of the tools are not compatible. If you do a ton on mason stuff concrete brick ect a rotary hammer would be better. I have to say and "all in one" tool doesnt excel at anything. Buy the tool you need. An impact is amazing at driving screws. A hammer drill is ok at drilling, driving screws and mason work. A rotary hammer is amazing at mason drilling. Theres been times ive used my hammer drill for 10 minutes drilling into mason a struggle. 5 seconds with the rotary hammer.

I love Metabo angle grinders (corded), but I still prefer the Milwaukee Fuel brushless drivers.
I will keep an eye on reviews for this Metabo driver as it finds it's way into the workplace.

I like but this tools in europe branded hikoki are sadly more expensive than other brands like "makita dewalt" they should be at same price or lower.

Well they are justified as being more expensive because they are way better

You've probably gotten this question before - Do you prefer the 18v or the 36v?

There isn’t really enough difference between mine to matter. For the money the 18v and added run time with MV batteries would be my choice

Reason I run the 18v is because with 18v you can run smaller lighter batteries most of the time, then step up to multi volt batteries if you need more power. Win win!

Nothing beats the Milwaukee m18 impacts. The new gen 3, and my favorite for “smaller” fasteners, 4” and under, the Milwaukee M18 surge.

Until you use the triple hammer
I'm a Milwaukee guy but Hitachi/Metabo HPT has always been the best nailer/fastener king and their 36V line has been replacing a lot of our red tools
SDS max & plus rotary hammers, table saw, mitre saws, portable band saw, grinders, Sawzall, belt sander, heat gun, rear handle circ, 1/2" plunge router, 3/4 and 1/2 impact all.outperform red at better prices, warranty and all the 36V can run on the AC adapter(all day run time and helps.battery longevity)

New gen 3? They’re on gen 4 now. And yes, the 4th gen is prob in the top 1-2 spots for speed and torque BUT it’s heavy and vibrates like a jackhammer.. have one hanging from your tool belt all day and drive screws all day and you’ll appreciate the triple hammer more than you can imagine

They make wrenches what accept driver bits rather than impacts or so it seems, meaning impact driver doesn't need a shitton or torque, and if your job does then you're probably in need of an impact wrench
