Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed �The Colbert Report,� which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced ko_l_b__r, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

I have always been under the impression that when it comes to billionaires, he's amongst the poorest. If you have any information that would shine new light on it, I'll gladly listen, but I don't care about his finances enough to research them.

I don't know much, especially since he's being persecuted by the IRS for his strong Christian faith and therefore can't release his tax returns (ffs I can't believe this joke of a man could become president). I just know that he himself says he 'values his brand at a couple of billion dollars'- which is very nice, but that doesn't count as actual personal wealth, and it certainly doesn't count towards liquid assets that he could use to bribe deligates.
Forbes calculate he's worth just under half of what he claims, but I think they're being generous and, again, they count things that he can't actually use to bribe people, it's mostly tied up in property.
Bloomberg and Politico think he has a few hundred million in cash, but there is a big discrepancy in their figures. We'll probably never know, which suits him just fine.

I'm not a big fan of this bit, but man, the animation team did a great job! How do they do all those gestures in real time?
If you never found out; They used Adobe Animate which takes a pre-rigged character, and animates it by watching a live actor. So they had someone in another room act play against Colbert. Animate then took that performance and translated it to the cartoon trump. They then added him to the set in post.

+hbk4eva1 they have tv monitor for the audience to react to. Colbert also has a small monitor in his desk when he looks down at it also one to the left of Drumph off camera. Also cartoon Drumph is a guy in a green screen suit off stage.

1) Either, the video is pre-recorded (and Donald Trump is edited in later) and they show the finished video to the audience on a screen, and splice in the audience reaction with the main video for the TV.
2) Or everything except Cartoon-Trump-visuals is done live, the guy doing the Trump-voice is standing slightly outside the frame, so the audience sees and hears everything, except the visual cartoon figure, and they react solely based on the audio (which is 90% of the jokes) and possibly the guy doing the voice, standing just off-screen acting out what he's saying, too. The Cartoon-trump-visual is edited-in between the time of recording and the airing.
3) Last possibility is that everything I just said in 2), with the exception that they manage to edit in Cartoon-Trump live and the animations and lip-movement is done with some kind of program not unlike those face-swapper apps everyone knows, and the audience sees eveerything happening on stage (as in 2) ) but ALSO sees the final product with Cartoon trump live on a screen.
My best guess and what I think is the most likely is 2)
