As a parent I hope you never change your format. This is one of the few channels I don’t need to worry about the content and as family we can enjoy! Nice helicopter!
I second this motion! Thank you
I agree. My kids and I love this channel. Great role models!
Have y’all not seen cleetus?
@@ultimatedriversofmachinery - We watch him, but the content HD produces is exactly what my son loves! Can’t beat heavy equipment, and heavy trucks going off road for a rescue. HD even has a blackhawk! Its only going to be getting better.
Diddo!
So pumped for you brother. And the fact that you purchased it without checking if it will fit in your hangar is why you’re the best 😂
Now your journey to something this magnificent is continuing. You need to build that jet boat race track on your property

As a retired Blackhawk dude, I appreciate the love you guys put into the project. You did it well, and I think it is classy.
I had the honor of working on these here in Stratford CT. I would love to see this thing come back home for a visit. Since the military is phasing out these birds, maybe the civilian sector is an option.
Dude…you’re the best!
Buying a Black Hawk and using it to help Vets fly around in their favorite vehicle for a Leisure flight rather than a combat flight is just a beautiful thing.
I am currently a Fire Fighter in the USAF and being around Black Hawks and those who operate inside and out of it this video just feels so good. Thank you for doing what you do my friend. You’re a good man🤙🏼❤️
Everytime I've been in a Blackhawk, it was in a stressful or combat scenario. When you said you'd love to give veterans leisure rides to experience a Blackhawk in a calm environment I teared up. It made me realize that I've never been on a relaxing Blackhawk ride... That's a really respectable idea. I might never get the chance... but it's awesome to know people still think of us that way. So much respect for what you accomplish and how you motivate people to crush their goals.
Perfectly said!!!! ♡♡♡
Im with you on that one, I just retired after 27 years in, and i understand.
I say you be the first one to get a leisure ride honestly, thank you for your service btw
Man you picked the wrong mos, we had it amazing as Crewcheifs
Bro, for real. Never been on a Blackhawk, but last time I was on a Chinook, we had tracers going by lol.
As a retired veteran and someone who has lots of flight hours in the Blackhawk I would like to thank you for what you are doing for the Veteran community. Would love to get back up in a Hawk someday 🖤
Maybe he will see this and let you get back into his!
From one veteran to another… thank you for your selfless service to the country.
I would love it if the lads called you for a lesson
Just watching your UA-cam channel makes me really love the American 🇺🇸 dream !

It's awesome that you are going to set up the program flying veterans around. When you have it up and running, I would love to nominate my Dad, who is a 78 7yr. old marine veteran, retired Seattle Fire Fighter who is fighting walking, diabetes, and ptsd, and hip replacement. I would love to be able to present him with this and make his day.
Thank you for all you do. 😊
Wouldnt be surprised if a video one day came out titled I BOUGHT A PRIVATE FIGHTER JET
I wouldn't doubt it, I mean Harrier can be purchased on the open market and the marines fly them.
It’s a lot easier to get one of those than it is a Blackhawk to be honest, this is a bit more impressive than the average rich person buying a fighter jet toy, to own and fly a blackhawk as a civilian you need a burning passion for aviation.
on my UA-cam channel i do food reviews while I’m super high 😈
There are f-16s in private hands now too.
They are cheaper than the Blackhawk
As an Army Blackhawk mech and crew chief, this is freaking amazing and i've never seen a Blackhawk so clean! As you learn to fly this aircraft, following good CRM is crucial to insuring you stay safe. Transitioning from single pilot to a dual pilot helicopter is a big jump so take it slow and learn the systems. Proper checklists are a must and you have to learn to share the cockpit and split responsibilities. Stay humble and continue to learn. I can't wait to see what you do with this in the future!
I was thinking the same thing ex-United States army 160th special operations air regiment Nightstalkers, member
Congrats on the beautiful bird. Also, the plan you have to give back to Veterans is awesome! Hope it works out. Sounds like a great way to Honor our heroes. I know a few that I'm sure would enjoy it.

As a retired CW4 Army vet with nearly 37 yrs total service, on behalf of many, many veterans, I salute you! Thank you, more than you know. Stay well, stay safe!
My Girl Friend's Dad was an MI Army National Guard CW4. He served a few more years than you! He held every rank from E-1 up to CW-4. Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago. I am an E-5 from both the Active Air Force and MI Army National Guard. Thank You for your long service!
As a member of the military community, I love and support your idea of giving vets the opportunity to go back up on the Blackhawk! I been in a few myself over the years and there no ride like it. If you need and help or ideas please let me know, would love to help anyway that I can.

The sound starting at 15:44 put me straight back into Iraq and gave me an unexpected rush. It has been such an amazing aircraft for the US Army. So jealous right now!
Cool
As a former US Navy Aircrewman in the Navy's version of your BlackHawk, the SeaHawk, close to 2000 hours of flight time, I congratulate you on such an incredible, awesome, achievement. Your BlackHawk looks awesome. Word of caution, do not ignore that intermediate gear box, the chip indicator. Thank you for sharing. Be safe. Be well. G
@@fluke196c as a crewman, I was responsible for pre-flights (like the pilots), daily's and turn around inspections. The chip indicator at the intermediate gear box is magnetic, attracting metal shavings as the gearing started to deteriorate. Shavings can be seen before the sensor would be activated. I only bring this up because it was a real issue with the helicopter in my day (early 90's). It was a known issue with the helicopter and responsible for loss of life.
As a former Army H60 pilot, and HeavyD fan, I think this is awesome, I have about 3000 hours in this bird and truly miss flying. Thank You for the videos!

Really excited for you and your team man. As a prior army member, I am happy to see you doing this for vets. Keep stepping on brother!
Retired Navy here. My last flight in a Blackhawk was a Medevac from the flight deck of the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN to Kuwait more than 20 years ago. Although I was focused on the patient, that flight was something I will never forget. You and your crew have huge hearts and I look forward to watching how you provide flights for former combat vets in the future. Keep having fun and keeping helping others! All the best to you, your family, and all the crew.
Bro. Nothing but respect for doing veteran flights. I spent 6.5 years working on UH-60's on an Avionics field. I spent a lot of flight hours in Afghanistan in that helicopter. I'm sure whatever veterans you get involved will be more than happy to have a fun flight that is fun instead of being in hostile territory. So many of my flights were so memorable that I miss flying in helicopters every day. Good luck and thank you for doing what you do!
Thank you for all that you have done. Bless you and yours.

Although I'm from South Africa, bless you Dave and your crew for all you do for others (veterans have a special place in my heart, as it doesn't matter where you go, so many of them get "tossed into the garbage dump" once their service is complete) - what you are planning to do, will bring them a sense of acknowledgement! As a former helo mechanic with the USAF's 1st S.O.W., the only suggestions I'd make, to enhance the chopper's utility, would be:
- install the utility pylons for carrying external fuel tanks (for extra range/bringing fuel to remote locations for recoveries), and storage pods for additional equipment.
- since you occasionally do rescues, the rescue hoist
- FLIR/TI camera, to aid in rescues/recoveries
-TF/TA radar to assist with night flights/mountain navigation

The 1981 Piper Saratoga in the background of the video around the 4 minute mark was my fathers old plane. I remember doing a custom paint job on the wheel covers to match the paint of the plane. We also replaced the entire interior with light grey leather. I love that plane and I hope she keeps on flyin!
