It comes with a mic stand holder that you attach to any universal mic stand. It will also attach magnetically to any metal (like a pole etc when you’re out and about) or it can just sit on a table top. I saw some really good pics of the holder at the following link.. geardiary.com/2023/11/14/audigo-wireless-microphone-review/amp/
@@jrdahman can’t wait to get one! I’m apprehensive to new gear, I’ll research a lot before I make the decision…. Your video certainly helped! Maybe post an update showing some of the new features?
Awesome review. Sounds very good. Any idea if this sounds better than good high quality USB mic like an Apogee, Shure, RODE etc ? Do the Audigo files get saved on your iPhone? What is file size? Wondering how quickly I would need to export files to an external hard drive to make space on my iPhone?
@@gair1944 this sounds amazing considering its size and the fact that it wirelessly syncs to your video on your iPhone. I wouldn’t compare it to the apogee or any other audio interface, those are definitely superior when it comes to audio quality, but this is superior when it comes to ease of use, efficiency and nothing else compares when it comes to the wireless syncing to the video, that is unique to Audigo. I still use my Apogee when it comes to recording music for albums, but I grab the Audigo to do quick content for social media and UA-cam etc. the audio quality isn’t quite as good as my apogee but it’s REALLY good and I can fit it in my pocket, and set it up ANYWHERE in seconds. Saves to iPhone and also has cloud backup available instantly through the app.
@@jrdahman Fantastic answer thanks! I actually bought the Audigo since posting this and it is SO easy and fast to get a very good recording. I also just picked up an Apogee Mic (USB) today and it's not quite as easy to set the gain but I only spent 20 mins with the Apogee USB mic so far.
Can the vocals and guitar be mixed separately when recorded in one take or do you have to record them with two tracks for that? Also, do you do the video/recording at the same time the recording button is pressed so it looks synced and like you are doing it live? I’m a newby
@@adamfoster8131 great questions! If you use one microphone between your vocal and your guitar, then obviously you only have one volume to split between the two, however, if you order two of the microphones and put one on your vocal and one on your guitar, then you can record them simultaneously and be able tochange the volume of each independently. Of course you could also just use the one microphone and record the guitar and then record the vocal separately and then you’ll be able to have volume control independent of each other that way. Also, as to the video that is, what’s so cool about this thing is that you can press record and it records, the audio and video wirelessly and sync them together without any extra effort.
Hi there. The difference is sure amazing on your video. So I bought one, and boy does it sound bad! There is terrible background hiss that the app doesn’t clean up. I think it must be me, because so many people rave is out this device. Any tips on how to fix this? I have 25 days left to send it back.
Perhaps you have a defective one? Or maybe your gain is set too high. It would be best to contact Audigo directly to get help from their support team. They are very good about replying quickly. My first thought is the gain might have been set too high when making your recording, but I’m sure the tech support team will have lots of good advice for you. I wish you the best of luck. I still love mine and I use the heck out of it all the time!
So when you record video with the mics . Are you allowed to save the video to your photo and video album. Lets say you want to take that and edit on capcut. Or just in a file format?
Yes, you can save the video and audio together to your phone AND you can save just the audio And you can save just the video.. you can even do multi track video recording and editing now … so you could do a video of yourself playing the guitar then cut to yourself playing the bass along with the guitar then cut to yourself playing keys etc and mix it all in the app then export it all to your files. Very cool!!
Thank you for creating this video. I admire your musical skills. I recently got one of these units and use it with my iPad. I haven't figured out how to record in landscape (like this video appears to be). Can you please advise on how you managed to achieve that? I'll really appreciate it if you're able to take a moment to provide some guidance.
Thank you very much for your kind remarks. Sorry, I don’t really understand, I just go to the video tab and turn the camera and it adjust automatically in the app. I’m not sure what’s different about how you’re doing it.
Thank you for the reply. I was afraid you were going to say that. 😆 I will reach out to Audigo customer service and see if anyone else has experienced my problem.
Thank you!!!! I wish @audigolabs send me a couple more so I could do a multi-mic demo. I hope this one gave you the information you needed. I use it a lot and STILL HIGHLY recommend it. If you have any questions I’d be happy to help (if I can)
Great question.... I found the answer here... www.audigolabs.com/faq It says"Currently the Audigo app is for Apple iOS only but we plan on releasing an Android app later in 2024. Please sign up on our Android email list to be notified."
Thank you!! I haven’t used the apogee mic so I can’t compare the quality but it is very important to understand that THIS Audigo mic is WIRELESS (the apogee is a wired connection) plus this little mic is really convenient to carry around in your bag for a super portable and easy recording on the go.. it wirelessly syncs to your phone and video.. that’s the biggest deal .. I can set my phone far away, and set the mic close and it will send the audio wirelessly to the phone and sync the audio to the video .. super cool. And it does sound pretty amazing.. thanks for your nice feedback!!!
I just got one. I am sure I am missing something, but how do you hear what you are actively recording through headphones. This is really necessary if I am going to record vocals separately from he guitar or other instruments. There has to be a way.
As audio is recorded to memory on the mic, then transferred to the phone, there is not a live monitoring option currently. For multi track recording we recommend leaving one ear cover off wired headphones or adjust AirPods to allow pass through audio.
No lag , but understand that it’s not set up with hear back for over dubbing. I just use my true wireless earbuds with pass through on and it works perfectly that way.
I just got this Audigo and didn’t know it could do all these features! Thanks for explaining it succinctly🎉
I’m so glad you found it helpful! They’ve added a lot of cool features since I made this video, I’ll have to do an update soon!
