I love this show. I'm only 27 but I was raised on shows like: -i love lucy -little house on the prairie -good times -the andy griffin show -the beverly hillbillies -the rifleman -bonanza -dr Quinn medicine woman -the jeffersons -the walton's -fat albert Ect. So glad my mom raised me like that
I remember watching a re-run of this when I was in New York back in the 80s. It was then, it is funny now. Another funny one is when Lucy was training herself to take care of her baby. The baby bathing scene is hilarious.
I can watch these episodes over and over and still laugh just as hard every time. This was such a classic show. Great writes and amazing chemistry between all the actors! Thanks for posting! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Lucy had great comedic timing & face expressions. She was a crack up. This is my all time favorite episode. My second fav. Is the one with Harpo Marx. Such clean great comedy. You can't find that hardly anymore.
2 things. 1, you have to know the skit to know that Vitameatavegamin had 23% Alcohol in it, so she was getting loaded the longer it went on, and 2. I am so GLAD you are telling and showing the Younger Generations about Icons like Lucille Ball. Now you have to show him Carol Burnett, Isabel Sanford, Vicki Lawrence, Marla Gibbs and Betty White.
Well, Burnett was not a sitcom comedian, as hers was a sketch/variety program. But, yes - they were the best of the best when it comes to comic ladies. And although there are many talented comedic ladies who have made their mark on television, the only person I can think of that follows Ball and Burnett and has that kind of mind-blowing talent, is Tracey Ullman.
There are clips of Lucy doing stand up with Bob hope, with red Skelton and with George Burns. I can't find her doing stand up alone however. You should also look up Gracey Allen. She has also been on game shows and in a Marx bros movie and she hosted a flash back episode of three's company.
The funniest women in sitcom history were Laverne & Shirley. They were on in the 70s and 80s. Two poor working class women who worked in a brewery in Milwaukee.
As mentioned below...y'all miss some important stuff here. First the setup where the guy look at the bottle and says it's 23% alcohol and then the final run through where up-ends the bottle, licks the spoon, etc.
You missed the best part where she drinks from the bottle and she says are you unpoopular, do you pop out at parties
They didn’t watch the entire skit!! Yes, they missed the best part!
I'm 53 and grew up watching reruns of I Love Lucy! Love her!
😂 I LOVE Lucy❤❤ & Carol Burnett were the best!
Don't forget Lucy and Desi started a production company that later became Paramount, also the multi cam setup and reruns

Nooo you gotta watch the end when she starts drunk singing with Ricky and trying to sing all Cuban 🤣🤣
You missed the best part where she's hammered .....it's hilarious!!!!
It stands the test of time. Its as funny now as it was all those years ago!

"Lucy, you got some 'splaining to do"...lol.

I agree with you about Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett. BEST female sitcom comedians.

Right before this clip starts the bottle reads that it has 23% of alcohol
Yes, and I think the clip is cut short as she gets really tipsy and takes a swig right out of the bottle.
My favorite episode is the Great Train Robbery. And it's thanks to Lucille Ball that we have Star Trek.
I love I Love Lucy!!! Shes da bomb!
The best.
Wow, those are my 2 favorites!
“My name is Earl”
&
“Reno-911”
Has some funny squaws TOO!
Oh yeah I forgot about Reno 911...
I love her! 🥰
I loved sharing with my son too. ❤😂
Why did they cut if off? It gets even funnier.
Paramount pictures was own by Rick and Lucy before they sold it to paramount picture

Guys you didn't play the whole clip. Whats wrong??
But you did not post the whole thing!? Which was the funniest part!
this episode, the Martians on the roof one, the candy conveyor belt, and the grape-stomping episode are so funny
That health tonic has 23% alcohol.
Yes! She was hilarious, and I second your opinion on Carol Burnette. Great reaction.
This was the first sitcom filmed with an audience. They invented the process that's still used today.
Why not show the rest of it? It kept getting funnier.
So sad you didn't show the whole clip.
yup this real funny
ace guys
Lucille Ball Carol Burnett Phyllis Diller Gilda Radner
Wow…..that was way too short a version of that. You missed a lot.
Love your vibe you guys! New sub here! Gonna check out more of your content!

Next to Lucy, of course.
That's a classic, never gets old they don't make shows like that anymore.

Yeah this episode had a lot of funny bits throughout...
I wished you’d watched the rest of it
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You cut out the part that explains the bottle contains 23% alcohol.
🤣🤣🤣
You didn’t show the end of it.
You didn't watch the whole thing?
👏👏👏👏
Aww!! You didn't show the best part 😕!!! She was a genius though!!! She's my #1 as well!!
Dude, you showed him a Lucy sketch prior to this.
This is why people liked Geritol! Folks got drunk! 😂
Lucy and Desi's company produced many shows..Untouchables, Dragnet, just to name 2. Desilu productions
That's not the whole skit!!!!
This is the full clip:
