- In celebration of the fifteen-year anniversary of Pushing Daisies, Vulture revisited the series with its star Lee Pace, who is full of vivid, warm memories of his time making the series, including what it was like to finally kiss his co-star Anna Friel without saran wrap between them.
Cancelling Pushing Daisies was an absolute tragedy!

We don’t talk enough about how gorgeous lee pace is . The fact that he’s 6’5 is just icing on the cake
We fans talk about it a lot, not just about his looks but his talent, his personality and how he evolved. I think it's the bigger part of Hollywood that is still afraid to talk about him, even tried to limit his presence for reasons. His strongest PR is his fanbase.
@@kimberleywien4231 yea i was joking with this comment but I know what you mean . I was reading this article about him from a few years back when he was talking about how coming out affected his career . He even had an agent drop him after he told him he was gay. Really sad that this discrimination still silently exists in the industry . Lee is talented and gorgeous and deserves better .
@@MekkaSG That's what the people who outed him wanted, for him to give up. It's more to jealousy/competition than discrimination.
Not to mention his voice i could listen to him for hindered year.

I would love too, but I think it's too late now. Should have been revived at least 10 years ago. How such a big time jump could be explained? Maybe a movie with 15 years time jump we see Ned and Chuck married, maybe with kid/kids. Happily married, traveled all over the world, owners of successful pie-shop, cheese and honey business together. Emerson happy too, with his daughter grown up now.. Etc

I finally binged the show, finished it 2 days ago. It's certainly unique in its aesthetics. Bright colors, OTT plots, combined with the aesthetics of old movies, particularly Hitchcock and film noir homages. And there's probably never been a show with less actual sex but more innuendo.
Although, with all the ways Ned and Chuck managed to touch- hold hands kiss, cuddle- using gloves and plastic wraps etc. I can't help but think they could find a way to have sex too, if they got a bit more inventive with the plastic and other materials. I guess that gives a new meaning to "use protection"! ;)

Canceling the show was probably the dumbest idea ever made! On the bright side the ending was good, compared to other tv series endings which just leave you asking what the hell happend!
i love the show, but as calling it queer is such a weird stretch. it's literally about a straight couple. there's nothing wrong with that, obviously, but a straight couple just isn't queer representation. very interesting interview though.

I was walking through the graveyard with my girlfriend the other day and i noticed loads of daffodils and it reminded me of Pushing Daisies and we have just started watching it together and i forgot how brilliant it is, she had never heard of it!

I loved this show when it came out and just watched it again on HBO. It was hard to read that this show received awards but couldn't get an audience for it..thus the reason for the cancelation. It's hard to find good family shows on Prime Time now, this aired on ABC i believe.
