    If you have a more kinky texture and you're gonna rub it on you're scalp make the clay a bit looser 😩😩😩 or you'll be in the shower for hours

    Hey guys! I see that a few people are worried about the ingredients/ amount of ingredients in this recipe. Luckily, there aren't really that many ingredients and they are all natural AND BENEFICIAL!! 🙌 If I grab any store-bought hair mask off the store shelves, there will 9 times out of 10 be many ingredients that I can't even pronounce (and it'll most likely have way more than the few natural ingredients that I've mentioned in this video). Also, all of the ingredients in this recipe serve a purpose to benefit your hair and scalp. Many store-bought hair masks contain ingredients who's sole purpose is to make it easier on the manufacturers (because they ingredients are cheaper than natural/ whole ingredients or they'll make the product last longer) while serving no purpose for your hair or even potentially harming your hair and body. I'm not against these products, as I have plenty of store-bought products that I love, but I think that we shouldn't worry too much about using a simple homemade mask with natural, non-hazardous, and diluted ingredients that we can easily pronounce! ☺

      This video is so helpful! I've had a pretty severely itchy scalp since I was little- which is not as bad now, but still gets itchy a couple days after washing my hair-, and I need something natural that will soothe my sore scalp, so thank you! A quick question, though. I noticed you said the charcoal is good at absorbing metal, is it safe to wash down the drain? Would it be damaging to the pipes?

    note for that clay. it's better to make it thinner. 1 cus it will wash out better and 2 cus it will clog tf out your drain if it's to thick. just to let yall know. (I washed my hair outside when I did it lol)

    Hi Jewellianna! I use a bentonite clay masque every Monday - almost exactly like yours! Mine is clay (the star of my mix), a tablespoon each of, alma, bhringraj and shikakai powders; 1/4 cup ACV, 1/4 cup aloe vera gel; @ 1-2 tablespoon olive oil and 10 drops rosemary oil. I used to use teatree but ran out. I may consider using activated charcoal....but a clay masque is a must for my 4c hair and has aided in my hair's health. It was great to see your video!

    Love this! Clay washes have done a HEAP of good for my hair! Here's a tip: don't use metal utensils with the bentonite clay because they react with one another and it makes the clay less potent. Love your vids!

    I'm so jealous of her hair. One side of my hair is longer I have to keep trimming of Lil ends of hair -_-

    • @theesky
      @theesky 7 років тому +15

      my little cousin has this problem. she's been asking me to do her hair ever since I was 15 (I'm 18 now) because her mom would rather slap a relaxer in her hair, which is really soft and not at ALL hard to manage in its natural state. give her half asses sew ins with wefts glued directly to her hair and scalp. Because of doing that for years, half of her hair will only grow to a Lil past her jawline and the other half will grow to her nape. What I've been doing is giving her a heated deep condition under the hooded dryer and massaging her head with peppermint and other essential oils like tea tree, coconut, rosehip, etc. so far, her hair is evening out and once it's all the same length. we can focus of full growth. I hope this helps!

    Make sure you use NON-METAL tupperware and measuring cups when dealing with the Indian Aztec Healing Clay because when it is in contact with metal, it reacts to it and the metal draws out a lot of its beneficial compounds. I always stick with a ceramic bowl and a plastic or metal spoon. :)

  • @mchlljy

    Another You Tuber says A) allow mixture to sit 1/2 - 1hr before application. Also, when applying start with SCALP not ends, then massage it in. After doing that, apply to strands. This is a popular topic and I've noticed everyone does not do it in the same way. I rely on Green Beauty and Curly Proverbz.

    First thank you so much for posting the video, I plan to follow this. I just kinda hoped you'd have listed the recipe / ingredients + the shampoo you used in the description box, but other than that? Well done.

    As BEAUTIFUL as your hair is.....idk if I could let my hair get that long. I already go through a lot of conditioner (EVEN with incorporating water). Chiiiiiiiile I can't IMAGINE how much you invest in just conditioner ALONE....let alone the time it takes to style your hair! Lawd! You have PATIENCE! 😭😭😭 Thanks for keepin it "meat & potatoes" (short but sweet) in this tutorial! I love it! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

    Gonna try this mask later. Only thing I would suggest is not using a metal measuring cup or any metal utensils with bentonite clay or any clays because it takes away from it takes away from its potency.

    Bentonite clay, oil, acv, activated charcoal, tea tree oil, gradualy add water -> when applying remove any metal jewelry (this mixture absorbs metal easily so also dont use metal when making the mixture.)

    I actually bought that clay off thrive market but it was for my skin...I didn't know I could use it for my scalp! My scalp is very dry & itchy, I'm def gonna make this minus the tea tree oil unless I can find it tomorrow.
