showing us the clip of your actual hair at the end of the day makes me feel so much better about what my hair looks like sometimes 😭 ... this routine is really about to save my hair cause i never know what to do with it at night 🙌🏽
Anaiya Tunnell it depends if braids are to tight instead of growing its pulling it out. if you get braids/protective styles the right way then you'll be fine and see some growth.
Don't forget to comment your night time hair routine below!!😴💤 Also, if you can leave your hair type/ hair length etc. as well, so that you can help others who might have similar hair to yours! :)) Thank you so much for watching!!
I condition it at night when I take a shower squeeze the extra water out comb it out and use a towel for about 15 minutes to get the extra water out take it down use leave in conditioner and a little coconut oil on the ends then put it in a loose bun and im good for the rest of the night :)
I usually just massage my scalp and put it up in a pineapple and my hair is 3C/just about to my underarms. But CHILDDDDDD you just help me save my edges!!!! I used to be so irritated by my edges being dry as a dessert. Thank you sooooo much love
I show the results of the from the braids (the next morning after I took them out) on my Instagram and SnapChat @JeweJeweBee, so make sure you follow me on both!! You can also check out this picture here: instagram.com/p/BUsDvHJF5Q-/?taken-by=jewejewebee
my 8 year old granddaughter is biracial and she has your hair... which I love... she wants repunzel hair so I am trying to help it grow over summer break... help!!!
going to sallys hair supply next week. been washing once a week and spray wet her hair and add conditioner every night but she seems to be outgrowing this so I will try your method. Thank you!
melleny peacock my hair texture is similar to this also and I use TGIN (Thank God It's Natural) deep conditioner and it's AMAZING. I sit under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes for additional penetration but it's not a requirement. It makes my hair super soft, Moisturized and manageable
never thought of that. I try to keep all heat away from it so that's good knowledge. it's halfway down her back and I do use a cap every single night as she doesn't sleep just on a pillow lol
melleny peacock look up Hot Head, great alternative to the hooded dryer still same if not better results! She's young so this may be a better option. Good luck 😊
Great video . I like it that you show the reality of curly hair -i.e. it does not automatically look gorgeous 24/7 , especially not in the morning . people with straight hair just don't get this , or understand the work we curly girls have to put in to get our curls looking good . thanks for posting ,
The more you can be comfortable with it in its short state, and not over manipulate, you'll soon look up and see hot curls taking off. Just clean, deep condition, and leave in condition. Their are plenty low manipulation styles to rock a short hairdo
My night time routine for 4a hair i believe consist of either 2 braids , a slick back bun, wild hair, or a top puff with satin pillowcase normally i wet my hair and apply my oils or moisturizer maybe both i also use a pillow case hair wrap when my hair is free
I guess I got here early enough before more comments swallowed up the ones you do reply too, but I LOVE that you're commenting information that is actually in-depth and helpful and not just referring people to a video from 3 years ago! I also feel like your sharing all of your routine and not possibly hiding what is REALLY helping you with hair growth/journey/care. Just wanted to say I appreciate all this and I hope it never changes! Be blessed Jewelianna!
I love your hair. I don't usually do much to my hair at night other than pineapple and sleep on a satin pillow case or bonnet but this makes me think that I should do more than that!
You definitely don't have to do more. A lot of my hair routine is for aesthetic (because I usually have to take pictures or be on video everyday and want my hair too look it's best). But if you search "night time routine" on my channel, you will see that my previous night time hair routine was very simple when I was in college and before I was blogging more often (and my hair was longer then). So you don't need complexity to grow long hair; simple but effective routines work just as well! :)
I mean this in the best way possible bc I think you're so cute! When you put your slap on, you look like that cute little peanut from the proud family special when they went to that island!
Yo I got no business here, I’m white, straight/wavy hair but like these videos are just so interesting to me. Plus y’all got like the best personality.
That was really helpful!! Thank you for sharing your routine - I've been trying to find a daily/weekly night time routine and you're the first UA-camr to show multiple night time hair routines! I've been struggling with my night time routine because all everyone says to do is pineapple - so that's what I did. Then I ran into issues of knots and some breakage with just pineappling and frizzy hair at the front. I love that you re-moisturized your curls on Day 3 & 4 and braided the ends. I started doing that and it's made a huge difference. Love your channel girl!
Well it's what I do to keep my hair moisturized. 1. Go in the shower and section hair into two. I have a conditioner that's mixed with baking soda. 2. I put my conditioner soda (baking soda and conditioner) in the left section and let that sit. And i do the same with the right. 3. I lightly detangle with my fingers to make sure that I don't break anything and if I did it right, I can glide my Dinmin (idk how to spell it) through my hair. 4. Than I wash it out and than I start with shampoo. sometimes if I feel like my hair is tangle I will detangle it again. And I realise my hair isn't tangled. 5. I wash it out (thoroughly) than I out a little bit of conditioner and I leave that in my hair. 6. Than I use some, "Coconut Oil by Dax with Vitiman E" and I moisturize my hair in *4* sections. 7. And since I have been getting into turbans, aka ~ Headwraps. I just wrap my hair and since my hair still needs air, I leave a semi afro out at the top. *And that's my hair routine! I do it every 3 days cause my hair gets dry fast and I wanna keep it moisturized*
my hair is nowhere near the way yours is, and i absolutely ADORE yours. like i do love mine, but i do love yours as well girl yeas. i love the care you put into it
Hello, Jewellianna! I been extremely depressed and I think my hair is suffering. My hair is extremely dry ALL the time. When I'm washing my hair and I try to very very gentle, my hair still breaks off. I was wondering what do you think I should do to help my hair stop breaking off so that I can retain length. ☹️
I'm so sorry that is happening!! I was in the same position where my hair was breaking off chronically and was super fragile. Here are my recommendations: 1. Eliminate ALL chemicals and heat (my recommendation is for at least year) to allow your hair to grow and recover 2. Trim off any damaged ends and breakage (you can do it overtime or all at once) 3. Use a protein treatment every 3-4 weeks (Apogee's 2 step protein treatment is great) 4. Try keeping your hair in protective styles for at least 3-4 days out of the week (dutch braids, ponytails, buns, twists, etc.. pretty much anything that isn't too tight and that you can take out after a few days) 5. Deep condition EVERY time you wash and be extremely gentle when detangling. 6. Use a conditioner and leave-in conditioner that is VERY moisturizing and has TONS of slip! I hope this helps! When recovering damaged hair, what you DON'T do is 10000x's more important than what you do to your hair. So make sure that you're replacing anything that could potentially damage your hair with healthy hair practices. And also for product recommendations and hair routines, check my updated wash & go routine or slippery, moisturizing, and nourishing hair products! :))
My hair routine consists of Hot oil Treatment Cleanse (with a gentle shampoo because my scalp don't get that dirty) Deep condition (with shea moisture's intensive hydration hair mask) Detangle before rinsing deep conditioner out (I detangle in smaller sections) rinse with cold water and moisturize with blue magic's hair grease (I make sure my hair is still wet so my hair won't be greasy) For night I just re-wet my hair and apply a little bit more of hair grease (my hair soaks up everything!) Then I cover my hair until the morning.
love the reality. my hair looks punk rock when i wake up, which would be great if i didn’t have an office job. your hair is completely amazing but i can see you put a lot of work into it.
I love your videos! I always lurk and never talk. One hair routine thing I do is braiding my hair in the shower as I rinse out the conditioner. Just two braids, drain it a little, pin it across the back of my head, cover it and go to bed.
I recently did this co washing, refreshing, finger detangling and when I finally went to wash it and give it a good combing, boy was my wall covered in HAIR. Pretty hair.
Great tips! Whenever my hair's in a wash and go or twist out, I always make 5 or 6 ponytails and put on a bonnet over top. Sometimes I do the baggy method as well, especially during the winter. I'm 3A/3B-ish, a little past shoulder length when curly and about armpit length when stretched.
I always sleep with a scarf on (unless I literally just cannot bc I'm that tired), but my pillow cases are also satin, so either way I would have no problem🤗
I have curly hair myself and find it easier for morning routines to have a spray bottle in hand usually mix a bit of my condition in it and spay on my hair helps bring mosture into your hair... And less frizz
U should do a Summer wash day routine when summer comes around. Also I would love if u did like an everyday morning routine for ur hair Bc I don’t really know how I should refresh my hair in the mornings
My hair routine: I usually go to a hairstylist and have a protective style installed, but when I don’t go to the hair salon, I pre-poo my hair with an oil mix, then I deep condition with Shea Moisture’s Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and sit under a dryer, then I shampoo with Kinky-Curly’s Come Clean, then I use Cantu Leave-In Cream as a leave-in and a styler because I have like three different hair types.
My night time routine is really quick. Just pineapple, put my satin scarf and go to bed. In the morning day 2 and 4 spray my hair with a little bit of water and my own oil mix (coconut, black castor oil and mango oil). I found my staple for my wash and go so my hair use to stay moisturize and soft during the week. I wash my hair every Sundays.
... so you're just gonna keep this amazing "staple" a secret all to yourself huh? 😩😂😂 Deets or nah? lmao I'm trynna keep my hair moisturized and soft all week too! lol
I just saw your routine for growing your hair, I will be honest, I thought it was a weave! WoW l rang da BELL for all of your tips, You should be so proud of your success. I will note today 8/10/17 and take a pic with video and check in 4 months with ONLY YOUR TIPS. Sending you LOVE from Seattle
ok so this is what i do booboo. on wash days i'm now doing a deep hot ass oil treatment with a mixture of every oil i have lmao. Castor oil, almond, coconut, rose hip and tea tree. Let it sit about an hr or all day depending on if i have plans. Then i rinse it out and then either cowash or shampoo my head. After that i deep condition with a repairing mask or regular deep moisture conditioner for an additional 30 mins-hr and then rinse out and style as usual. it's a lot of steps but i usually do all that once a week. lol
this is just the normal amount of steps imo, except maybe the oil pre-poo. it's not that much. but I'm lazy so i personally don't keep up with deep conditioning like I should lol
thank you for sharing!! I purchased and used the ORS products in your wash and go video and for the first time I found a wash and go routine that works for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Hey, would love to see a morning routine if you have one. Just to see how you keep the curls fresh. mine tends to straighten out slowly the longer I leave it.
I don't like hair typing but if I had to I have 3b,3c and at night I just throw it up in a pony tail and go to sleep in the morning I just shower and wet my hair and start over, pineappling doesn't work for me my hair is wet ati) by the end of the day too so I have to refresh the next day other wise it smells gross. also I went natural for about 4 months and now have straightened my hair bc I'm expecting twins in 3months and since they can come early I'm just going to wear braid outs until after they are born bc I won't have time to deal with my nappy fro while recovering and the striaght hair is easier to get ready for pictures and make presentable when I have guest. one thing I want to know is does my hair grow when its straight? I mean if you condition it message and wear a protective style does it grow as fast as it does when natural?
Taylor Manning Hair grows from underneath your scalp & is always growing no matter the style you put it in. It will grow, just be careful that you don't damage the hair.
Taylor Manning I band my hair with hair ties at night and put a bonnet over it. That way I don't have to wet my hair everyday because the pineapple didn't work for me either. There are a bunch of videos on UA-cam about the banding hair method if you want to check it out.
I have a cousin that cut her hair 2 years now and it is still the same length it cant even go in a ponytail she doesnt moisturize it or any of that and her edges are goneeeeeee🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Hahha Jewellianna you are hilarious! Thanks for the video. I always look forward to your video and these nighttime routine are super helpful because the pinnapple at night doesn't really work for me every night. And your hair GREW SO FAST WOW! It looks great!!
I have 3c hair and my night routine contains of me wetting my hair, applying moisturizer, then putting it in a pineapple, then going to sleep. Should anything be changed ?
its a curl pattern and i found mine by going on naturallycurly.com and i toke a test then they told me my hair type. There also videos on YT that can help you.
Thanks so much for the video. My routine a few hours before bed is: I spray my hair with water to dampen it, apply a moisturizer, jbco or some type of oil on my edges & massage. I'm working really hard to recover thin edges. Air dry. Apply a satin bonnet before going to sleep. Thanks again for inputting your picture because I don't have Instagram or Snapchat. Take care
Jewellianna Palencia I use either Jamaican black castor oil, or a mixture of different oils. Yes it is helping because I literally had 2 bald spots and I now have a little fuzzy baby soft hair. I have to be soooo careful since it's so fragile. Due to me being so anxious, I need to figure out some type of routine for my edges so I'll know for sure what really worked
Day 1 routine is same as yours. Day 2-3 I usually just spritz all over with water/leave in conditioner and add some oil and pineapple. If I make it to day 4 + I fully saturate with water, add some conditioner and shea butter and do four chunky twists. My hair type is all over the charts. I think I have 3b -4c. My glorious mess of waves, curls, coils, and zigzags 😁 great video. I need that SLAP in my life.
My hair care routine is sorta similar but I do mine in the morning and it takes two days... I use pantene pro v full and thick shampoo and conditioner (I've read the reviews saying its bad and its chemical base) but I started using it in May 2017 and it had reduced my frizziness it brought curls I never thought I could get and my hair has never been this thick so it works for me. This is just day one and all I do it wash either pineapple top with a satin crunchie very loose or braid my hair in two while drying it with a microfiber towel and air dry. Day 2 is deep conditioning with Shea moisture jamaican( my island) black castor oil and steaming it with a micro fiber towel for an hour then washing it out put in a leave in conditioner rose elixir on my ends and the innate life hair scalp treatment for my scalp and letting it air dry after that.. I put my hair in protective styling till the next wash day or leave it out.. My hair routine is a combination of Syria Jade and jewelliana
I feel sorry for my hair I do nthg for it Just shampooing, conditioning and add some olive oil to the scalp and to its ends 2 times a week And i think it stopped growing My hair is find btw
Amoura306 no its Not Late me i neglegted b4 m'y hair i Abuse to mush with beach ext...now im left with pixie and its no growing quikly but do resersh and learn and aply practice on hair you ll ses différence halpy growing healthy hair amoura
Girl your curls are so bomb!!! Yes ladies you must have a hair routine of some sort to make any strides on retention for length. I'm now 1 1/2 years post big chop, come see my journey this far!
If I have a wash n go they last the whole week I usually just spritz with water at night, massage and then pineapple but if I have a twist out I have to twist it again every night.
My nighttime routine isn't consistent at all because I change my hair daily. I have terrible shrinkage. My hair is armpit length but it shrinks to about 3 inches if left to air dry... So, I usually keep it stretched. If I'm wearing a wash n go, I'll band it at night to keep it from shrinking while I sleep. Pineappling only works sometimes, so I've given up on that. If I've been wearing my hair in a bun, I take it down, divide my hair into 2-6 sections, spray with water and moisturize, and then braid or twist. Always follow that up with a SLAP or satin scarf. I have really small curls, but they are spirals, so I guess I have mostly 4a with some 4b mixed into the front edges.
I honestly believe that my nighttime routine has a lot to do with my hair breakage/growth. I usually just get one of those tight scrunchies they sell at Dollar Tree and tie it in a tight bun and go to sleep.. no satin pillow case, scrunchies, nada... oh and when I wake up it's a knotty mess. Taking notes!
OMG NO YOU DID NOT JUST GET UP AND LEAVE A WHOLE WIG ON THE PILLOW 😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂 Whew lord! I'm cryying.

Jewellianna Palencia does braids prevent ur hair from growing or help it
Anaiya Tunnell it depends if braids are to tight instead of growing its pulling it out. if you get braids/protective styles the right way then you'll be fine and see some growth.

I condition it at night when I take a shower squeeze the extra water out comb it out and use a towel for about 15 minutes to get the extra water out take it down use leave in conditioner and a little coconut oil on the ends then put it in a loose bun and im good for the rest of the night :)

SAME. This is why I like black queens. They have real armpits lmao. (like myself).
@Naomi
Yes. For me there is at least. With their light skin and light hair, it barely shows.
Juice box what with their light skin and a lot of them are naturally brown or black. So it’s worse for them
Great video . I love your videos! I always lurk and never talk. One hair routine thing I do is braiding my hair in the shower as I rinse out the conditioner. Just two braids, drain it a little, pin it across the back of my head, cover it and go to bed.
amazing, just three words : Perfect Like Usually 😀😍
Aww thank you!!
Jewellianna Palencia you welcome 😉😁
I recently did this co washing, refreshing, finger detangling and when I finally went to wash it and give it a good combing, boy was my wall covered in HAIR.
Pretty hair.
My face when I saw the brush: 😰 My face after you said it was soft 😅
😂😂😂
Want the saaaame brush !!
I’m doing everyday a protective hairstyle with gel do u think I need to rinse it out in the evening? Pls help idk
I always sleep with a scarf on (unless I literally just cannot bc I'm that tired), but my pillow cases are also satin, so either way I would have no problem🤗
This is great. I love what you said about the ends of your hair being the oldest and needing a lot of attention. Never thought about it like that.
this made me get out of bed to do something with my twist out before bed. Let me not be lazy haha
Could you do a curly hair products collection? I'd love to see the products you've amassed over the years!
Very informative and hilarious video! 💙 especially 7:13 😂 who sleeps like that?
lmao! That you!!
Sirleston DuPless I do! Lmao 😴
Lmaoo
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have curly hair myself and find it easier for morning routines to have a spray bottle in hand usually mix a bit of my condition in it and spay on my hair helps bring mosture into your hair... And less frizz
You've just been on uploading spree huh?
hahahaha!! Yep!! lol
U should do a Summer wash day routine when summer comes around. Also I would love if u did like an everyday morning routine for ur hair Bc I don’t really know how I should refresh my hair in the mornings
Hi Tia it is me Mariah your niece!❤️
Hi Mariah!!! 😘❤️
Hilarious!! Loved this video! The dancing, the hair on the pillow, everything😜
What did you use before the 30 dollar bonnet ..
Lashawn Pascall Probably a silk scarf 🤷🏽♀️
Lol I know right
My hair routine: I usually go to a hairstylist and have a protective style installed, but when I don’t go to the hair salon, I pre-poo my hair with an oil mix, then I deep condition with Shea Moisture’s Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and sit under a dryer, then I shampoo with Kinky-Curly’s Come Clean, then I use Cantu Leave-In Cream as a leave-in and a styler because I have like three different hair types.
Can't believe that I just saw this video after 1 day for some reason I didn't get the notification
Hahaha.. You are sooo early!!! lol!!
how's this possible ?
right lol?!

😩😂😂 Deets or nah? lmao I'm trynna keep my hair moisturized and soft all week too! lol
Jewellianna Palencia I'm in love with the Uncle Funky's Daughter extra butter and Curly Magic. 😊😊
you so pretty 😊😳

You are so pretty. I love your hair. Darn, you scared me at 1st,thought you went bald on camera, lol..
I had been waiting for this video SO LONG. Im so happy you uploaded it!! and of course, beautiful as always!!
ok so this is what i do booboo. on wash days i'm now doing a deep hot ass oil treatment with a mixture of every oil i have lmao. Castor oil, almond, coconut, rose hip and tea tree. Let it sit about an hr or all day depending on if i have plans. Then i rinse it out and then either cowash or shampoo my head. After that i deep condition with a repairing mask or regular deep moisture conditioner for an additional 30 mins-hr and then rinse out and style as usual. it's a lot of steps but i usually do all that once a week. lol
but at night i don't do too much but massage my scalp and go to sleep on my satin pillow lol
This is so me 😂😂😂
this is just the normal amount of steps imo, except maybe the oil pre-poo. it's not that much. but I'm lazy so i personally don't keep up with deep conditioning like I should lol
thank you for sharing!! I purchased and used the ORS products in your wash and go video and for the first time I found a wash and go routine that works for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Yaye!! That makes me soooo happy!!!
Yaass 1 million views!
The way you put your face in the pillow at the end 🤣👌🏾💕
When u rolled on ur face i fell out lol...
The wig on the pillow and you face planted in your pillow while fake sleeping had me dying😂😂 I can't with you Jewe lol
It's not even showing on the tab uploads or videos I had to go to your hair tutorials
I have a cousin that cut her hair 2 years now and it is still the same length it cant even go in a ponytail she doesnt moisturize it or any of that and her edges are goneeeeeee🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
her hair is goals
I Am A New Subscriber And I'm Already Loving You Im Gonna Do A Transistion From Perm You Makes Me Want Curly Hair Thank You😘
Hahha Jewellianna you are hilarious! Thanks for the video. I always look forward to your video and these nighttime routine are super helpful because the pinnapple at night doesn't really work for me every night. And your hair GREW SO FAST WOW! It looks great!!
When you took your hair out the bun 😂😩💀
😂😂 The struggle!
loving the regular uploads
Thank you!!! ❤❤ I'm glad that you like them 😊
what is your hair type ??
Omg your hair is so beautiful I can’t

Take care
Nice!! What type of oil do you use and do you feel like you've seen improvement??
Jewellianna Palencia I use either Jamaican black castor oil, or a mixture of different oils. Yes it is helping because I literally had 2 bald spots and I now have a little fuzzy baby soft hair. I have to be soooo careful since it's so fragile. Due to me being so anxious, I need to figure out some type of routine for my edges so I'll know for sure what really worked
Jewellianna Palencia Thanks so much
is it just me or when she put the satin cap on she looked like those peanut things from the proud family movie
With the slap on your hair looks like Marge Simpson except it's not blonde! :)
Geena114 Marges Hair is blue☺️

I feel sorry for my hair
I do nthg for it
Just shampooing, conditioning and add some olive oil to the scalp and to its ends 2 times a week
And i think it stopped growing
My hair is find btw

Girl your curls are so bomb!!! Yes ladies you must have a hair routine of some sort to make any strides on retention for length. I'm now 1 1/2 years post big chop, come see my journey this far!
i got 4a hair so this is definitely not happening lmao
mrsalana1103 I do too boo lol
mrsalana1103 I bet it's still gorgeous 💜
lol so what is your night routine then?? :))
If I have a wash n go they last the whole week I usually just spritz with water at night, massage and then pineapple but if I have a twist out I have to twist it again every night.
Thank u very much :) I bet your hair is awesome
I JUST ABOUT DIED WHEN WHEN YOU SAT UP AND THE WIG WAS THERE
Your hair is goals af
The grace aleya slap cap is truth! But the elasticity at the band does stretch out fast.
Ugh, your hair is just gorgeous 😊
I honestly believe that my nighttime routine has a lot to do with my hair breakage/growth. I usually just get one of those tight scrunchies they sell at Dollar Tree and tie it in a tight bun and go to sleep.. no satin pillow case, scrunchies, nada... oh and when I wake up it's a knotty mess. Taking notes!
You are so funny! At the end of the video when you tossed and turned and landed on your face i lost it😂😂😂
So true
If we're going to neglect our ends we shouldn't neglect our ends
It definitely needs the love
