    Just finished watching the snatch pillar series. One of the best set of oly instructional videos on youtube. Really looking forward to watching the c&j pillars. Keep up the good work Juggernaut👍

    The "hips above kees" cue is something you dont see in chinese lifter (or people with short legs/long torso)

    I'm loving these pillar videos, high quality as usual :)
    I have a "personal" question for Mr. Aita regarding his supertotal programs. Is there a way I can shoot him a question or two before I purchase the program? Thank you.

    Woah woah, watch where you're swinging that gun show around Alyssa. You almost took off Max's head with those cannons.

    This may be over thinking it a bit but is this the same starting position for those with different body morphological? (Long vs. short femurs, long vs. short torso). Just curious! Excellent programming!

    So the bar will be directly over our mid foot?

    Random question,
    Women have different centers of gravity than men, does this hold true with men?
    I feel lots of internal knee pain when power cleaning. Do you have any tips?

    How important is hip contact? I just can’t seem to get it I find it s,owls my momentum down. I can get under the bar ok. I am not looking at completing I just want to get strong, improve my flexibility, core strength and obviously look better

    • @iPlainSushiCake
      @iPlainSushiCake 5 років тому

      An aggressive hip contact vs. explosive hip contact is intentionally driving the hips to meet the bar. If you keep the bar close enough and extend fully, your quads will be a driving force to meet the bar and accelerate it upward

    is there a difference except the grip confirmed to the snatch starting position?

    • @iPlainSushiCake
      @iPlainSushiCake 5 років тому

      In the ideal athlete, yes. The difference is in grip as well as hips; stated by Torokthiy, the hips can sit a bit lower in the snatch to maintain more tension and the relative contact position is at different spots.

    Why didn't he talk about foot width and grip width?

    • @bmstylee
      @bmstylee 6 років тому +1

      BMX: All Encompassing from my experience everyone has a different grip and foot setup. My grip and foot placement are different than the guys I lift with. Similar but I point my toes out on deadlift and my feet stay pretty straight on the Oly lifts and my hands are a bit further out from center. Which is the exact opposite of what the other guys do. If I was doing things properly my feet would change position to straight ahead on deadlift and point out on Oly lifts.
