Literally I’ve been watching CS for 5 years, and i’ve never been so hooked on any series like I am on this one. Not only because of the city (that is gorgeous) but your way of playing the game, talking in the videos or just the way you keep us focused on what you want, is completely diferent to others. Keep it up please!!
You need to download those underground parking facilities on the workshop, they would have looked amazing across from the Opera house. It's also what they do have for the Sydney Opera house, above ground just detracts from the buildings unique silhouette and areas amazing views.
Loved this build! Is it possible to put some fishing piers or the lookout ones on the new Quay walls? Might give people more of a reason to walk on them. Maybe that floating cafe right off the peak?
Thanks Base, a nice cruise ship terminal would fit in well. I would think more on the coast but I'll see what I can do. Imeratur just did one recently so we will probably wait a little bit but thanks foe the suggestion!
@@CityZilla np, maybe not a cruise ship since yah it would make no sense in that area, but in my head rn if i was thinking of a ferry terminal in that part and use it to connect to the one by the coast where the cruise ship terminal would be, so it would have ppl get dropped off on the coast and if they wanted to they would take the ferry and it would take them to downtown
@@CityZilla if it is going too fast, u prob would need to use the canal block to maybe create ur own flow of water that would go in the other direction, so the ferry could go back and forth
@@CityZilla or i just thought of something, maybe not a ferry but u could maybe have a special train line that only goes from downtown to the airport and cruise terminals
this new area looks a lot like a flood plain , think about what happens with an unusually large rain to this low lying area where two large rivers come together ? As the volume of water increases and the Chanel with decreases due to the new land the velocity will increase which will cause the water to more rapidly erode the channel (and also the level of the water will rise) the faster water will low for larger and larger peaces of the bank to be moved by the water including the bead that the key wall will be sit on ( see Hjulström curve) even minor reductions in river diameter have these problems and at confluences it gets really bad because you have to rivers coming together !
Thanks for the insight Ve5vv! I didn't even think about possible flooding. I would imagine that if a build like this were to happen in real life they would do flood channels or something to make up for the lost space? We could see about putting in some canals to protect against flooding. It would cost a ton in real life but maybe the waterfront real-estate would justify it.
@@CityZilla unfortunately this kinda thing happens a lot in real life and the order of expense to mitigate it is rather high and the people building it are generally long gone by the time the danger is fully understood . The end result is frequently as you alluded to the city spending a huge amount to mitigate because of the wealth of the people living in this area and that money being taken from programs that might have helped out poorer people .In some places the federal government spent huge amounts to buy out entire communities on flood plains and move them up to higher ground .
Oh yeah this could be a great topic! Thanks for bringing this up! Im going to do some reading on topics surrounding this and see if I can come up with something.
@@CityZilla one of the most infuriating ones is when poor people live in a flood prone area but the money that could have been spent for flood mitigation for the poor people is instead spent on flood mitigation for new areas for the rich ! and climate change makes it all worse
Man the video settings are really bad in this video, the white and black colors are too saturated, all the building just look like plane black block or plane white blocks
@@CityZilla Thanks, normally everything looks good. I recall you mentioning something about playing around with eye-candy settings some more a few videos ago. Anyways thanks for all the great content!

Amazing work as always 🤩👍
Totally love that opera house area, and how you use the quay walls.

Thanks Jayde, those are some great ideas. Thanks for the suggestions!
mad fine design, i believe if u build a golf course it'll be great
Can you add more benches and cafe's to the lower quay wall? More people might use it and would look awesome!
Great build C-Zilla!
Thanks John!
Looks fantastic! Also what about covered picnic tables by the opera house
Thanks for the suggestion Sheq!
@@CityZilla love the series though- so fantastic looking!
very nice tram layout, also u should probably set the roads around the tram hub to no parking

That's what I was originally hoping for this area. I was a little worried the water may be going to fast for a ferry service but we will look at it.

You should add a time square type of park :)

this could be an interesting way to talk about climate change in urban planning
