    A dupe for the Tower 28 spray and a galactomyces ferment toner control my rosacea better than anything! I got the Tower 28 as a sample and loved it. I was stunned at the results. When I figured out it’s just hypochlorus acid, I just bought a spray from Amazon. Secret Key, Missha, or SKII all work for me but unfortunately SKII works best. My redness is gone for the first time in a decade.

    Every time someone says that Liquid Gold is a holy grail, I think that I should try it. Then I read the FAQ’s and realize, for the umpteenth, time that I can’t use it because the cholesterol is derived from lanolin (a major allergen for me). If they ever find a reliable phyto cholesterol source, I’ll buy it.
    My skin can’t tolerate petroleum distillates. The best slugging product that I’ve found so far is shea butter. I’m testing Vanicream ointment as an alternative. My skin is so finicky that I have to alternate usage of products, but straight shea butter is something I can use daily when necessary.
    I’d like to hear about your favorite sunscreens.

    I feel you on having a "problematic skin type" but for very different reasons. I have sensitivities to aloe and centella, which really limits the skincare products I can use. My aloe sensitivity made me confused about the point of burn relief gels. Now I know they're supposed to ease the pain, but they would just basically double the pain in my case. These sensitivities mean there are only a few "soothing" products I can use. I tried the Anua toner you love, it stung a bit. The only product I've found that truly soothes irritation for me is the Illiyoon Ceramade Ato Concentrate Cream, which is now a holy grail that I cannot go without.

    I know a lot of derms recommend the bioderma micellar water. I want to say that skin smart is the OG of hypochlorous sprays and is cheaper than the tower 28 or active skin one. At least one derm has said refrigerating azelaic acid can help lessen the sting. I don't know why I thought that elizavecca package was chocolate? You should do both sunscreen videos (the more the merrier). Also question, do you think a serum can also be a moisturizer?

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole
      @AliceintheRabbitHole  11 місяців тому

      Most definitely! When I tried Numbuzin, the no.8 serum suggested that it could be either a serum or a moisturizer. After using it, I very much agree with that! Similarly, the Stratia liquid gold is serum-like to me, though I’m sure it can be a moisturizer (as labeled) for other skin types

    and eye cream the Cosrx snail eye patches are almost done I have like 2 uses left and I'm in love with those things O the Benton ferment eye cream I will repurchase and a farmacy cleansing balm bought the strawberry one a mini Bobbi brown lip balm thing in sheer pink and I bought a full size the RNW ceramide serum I need to purchase another one. I didn't use near as much as you did lol

      Those cosrx patches are sooo nice! Yes this is an exceptionally big empties, but I bet the next round will be small 🤣 I swear my empties are always some flavor of chaos, it’s just a question of “what kind of chaos are we in for today” LOL
      I was just looking at it, and did you see Haus labs is introducing one next month? I’m feeling Sephora for makeup more these days than skincare, and there’s some real tempting new releases 🤩

Their are a few things I want like I need more makeup. I feel like I have been buying so much this year🤣I bought a Tom Ford quad on Sunday got a good deal though. I have been so tempted by so many things but I feel eyeshadow pallets have been few and far between this year makeup release wise but I'm looking forward to all the holiday releases u know that will be coming up . Yes I saw the HL was coming out with a concealer, I never tried her foundation cause I was so confused by her shade range . I bought the ND concealer when the mini Starlet released got both but another shade range I was like WHAT?? With but I ended up picking one that worked so that was good.

    Does the Cerave Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser dry out the skin? I am currently using the Differin Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser and it's a game changer for acne, but it tends to make me flake around the mouth and nose area.

    • @AliceintheRabbitHole

      For me - sort of. It’s more effective at tackling the acne when I let it sit on my skin for 3-5 min. But yes, I notice more dryness with that method. More recently, I’ve been washing more quickly with it, and rounding out my routine with those anti microbial products-that’s been a GREAT in between.

    Yikes, Strati’s Liquid Gold’s FOURTH ingredient is Niacinimide. Niacinimide deactivates Vitamin C serums so I wouldn’t use it in my morning routine. My evening routine starts with Copper Peptide and tretinoin. I don’t think I would want to put Liquid Gold on before either the Copper Peptide or before the tretinoin so I don’t see a place for it in my evening routine either.
