💗 New Videos Every MWF! 💗 - Навчання та стиль
Its the second time that this happens : i go to bed lazy or sick skipping skincare (WOOT!) and then I stumble on your video, and it triggers me to go get a tall glass of water and quickly wash my face and then do the rest of my skincare in bed. So thanks for giving me better habits :)
YESSS happy to be a positive influence haha! 🥰🥰
I am so happy I found you. I had oily skin my entire 32 years of life. Now all of a sudden my skin is DRY and I am CLUELESS 😅
Thank you for being so informative. Its truly appreciated.
I wanted to thank you for always putting the ingredients on the screen - so helpful. I can’t use 75% of these products because EVERYONE and their mom seems to insist on throwing some sort of fruit extract into their products and I’m allergic to just about ALL of them. So incredibly frustrating.
Happy to help! Yes, allergies are incredibly frustrating. All aspects of them too 💔
Hopefully you watch Dr. DRAY (a board certified dermatologist) because she is the best when it comes to non irritating products
Love you Alice! You’re the realest skinfluencer for sure. Thanks for keeping it real.
🥰🥰
I agree
GM cleanser and toner will always honestly be my go to. I also don't like rose but that cleanser doesnt smell scented at all and is just so good for me! I try other things but I always end up going back to those. The toner has helped me so much with PIH over time as well!
Loved this!!!💚💚💚
Cerave healing ointment is my favorite. Slugging is the best for dry irritated skin!
Slugging is wonderful! That’s how my skin bounced back from the round lab reaction. Tbh it was a combo of bifida-heavy products and slathering on Aquaphor as my final step (or yes, cerave’s is great too!)
Watching backwards, but this was a great series. Loved it and looking forward to this video before I head out for day. Thanks Alice for all the wonderful videos, I still have lil more to catch up on, see you soon! ❤️
This was so helpful! I also love benzoyl peroxide for my dry and acne prone skin. Thanks Alice!
This was such a wonderful video, definitely need to try the aveeno oat moisturizer as my day time one, as I thought it wouldn’t be hydrating enough but if Alice recommends it it’s worth a try !! Thank you for the video ❤
Always fabulous Alice
A lot of my favorites here too! Have used and loved the Versed gel moisturizer, the Good Molecules gel cleanser (unfortunately allergic to some ingredient in it because I loved how it worked and felt) and brightening toner, the peach slices azelaic acid serum and micro dart patches, and of course Aquaphor!
😄OMG Alice! That tray of goodies 😉
😍🤣
Thank you Alice! Could you please do one for people with acne rosacea?
Dr. Visit sounds right up my alley. ❤️
💗💗 I hope you’re doing well!!
Your skin looks so radiant!
Thank you! 🥰
Hallo, Thank you. I have so many of these is my skincare stash
It’s obvious to me why I’ve moved so much to K Beauty. So many of the American made products contain things I’m allergic to. But I did find two products that I can try. Thank you for those two!
I used your example and got myself a 5% Benzoyl Peroxide from The Inky List. And the 0.1 Adapalene . Thank goodness you found this combo.
ISN’T IT WONDERFUL 😭😭
I’m beyond happy to have found this combo. It’s incredible!
Great video!
Speaking of St Ives, there's a male derm who loves that stuff for his skin, Dr. Karan Lal. He goes over his routine on the mixed makeup channel, skincare expert playlist.
Ohhh interesting! I’ll have to check that out, thanks 😃
Rewatching this Playlist because I just love it. One rosehip oil that may be similar (but also alot more expensive) is the Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate (Haldi recommended this one for me).
I never was interested in Peach slices but you making me wanna take another look.
My skin did GREAT with that brand! And to think it’s inexpensive and accessible?
I love the aveeno oat line. I tried the serum. Loved it. Really calming.
The cleanser is absolutely wonderful for me got morning cleanser and days without water resistant sunscreen!
I’m using the cleanser and really liking it!
Putting this video into a folder for reference. My sisters and friends often ask me for moisturizer/skincare recommendations.... I'm oily so when somebody dry asks, I go to you! By the way, I got a sample of INNISFREE Hydrating Toner and totally love it. Will be getting that when I run out of my Thayers Blemish Clearing 2% salicylic acid acne treatment facial toner witch Hazel lemongrass.
Great video!!! I use the ordinary peptide serum at night so no pilling issues. Have you tried the good molecules peptide serum? It feels more cosmetically elegant and I prefer it slightly more, worth a try. 💕
The Good Molecules Niacinamide toner is very hydrating and soothing on my sensitive skin.
You convinced me to place an order for the Rosen cleanser - darn you! 😉
I love Aquaphor! And you're right about the Peach Slices Deep Blemish Acne Dots - very effective!
It’s soooo fun, and it’s effective. I still can’t get over that it’s only $18!
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleand I used the 20% coupon, so each bottle came to $15 + change with tax. 😊
Alice! Hi! I love the Aveeno oat gel moisturizer so much!! I think it works well for dry skin because the texture’s a bit thick and rich without feeling heavy! But I must say I’m interested in trying the 5oz Purito oat moisturizer at some point!
That’s a good point. It’s somehow light but really nourishing. So rare to find!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole exactly :)
i LOVE these videos!! also have you done a video on the medicube age-r booster device? im really curious about it bc you have used it but i couldnt find a video dedicated to it! i hope you do, or if not if you could make one!!
I haven’t, but it’s on a list for near-future upcoming videos! 😍
Great round up of terrific products as always! My favorite Good Molecules product right now is the Clarify & Cleanse Bar. I really love it. It's so gentle but does a great job for body acne care and exfoliating. My skin is so sensitive but it doesn't irritate at all. I can even use it on my face twice a week! I broke my "no stocking up" rule.
I
I can use that in the summer
Those cleansing bars surprised me so much! I expected them to feel drying, but nope! Glad to hear you’re enjoying them 😃
Thank you so much for doing all-time favorites! Good Molecules balm is still my HG too (along with Lancôme Bi-Facil). I’m considering backing down from tret back to adapalene just so that I don’t have to be so darn careful, my oily skin prefers Differin over LPR.
Do you get the occasional hypersensitivity? I’ve noticed that is finally tapering off for me with adapalene. Only took (thinks) …10 months? 😆
That’s interesting that you note a difference! I noticed my LRP expires in April, so I’m plowing through that before I open the Differin I bought (Sept 2024? Big difference lol) But I’m excited to see if I do notice a difference between the two. The ingredients look so similar!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I never had a sensitivity with Differin but with tret it seems like every time I pause because of a vacation (I never tret on vaca always in the sea and sun) or even work travel I’m starting over and there’s always a bad few days and I think I’m about to tap out on that nonsense.
Differin is glorious for balancing my oily skin and I really love the texture whereas I think all LRP products are designed for dry skin so I’ll be curious to hear what your sweet face thinks. Will you do a side-by-side for 2+ weeks or just switch?
Lord, teens these days have SO MANY options for acne. When I was a teen and had a fair amount of acne (I’m 36 as of August), we only had stuff like neutrogena’s acne gel cleanser and their bp spot treatments, clean and clear’s scented mess of a line, and proactiv. I also absolutely love Aveeno’s calm + restore moisturizer (it’s a holy grail) and I enjoyed Peach Slices’ Azelaic Acid (I should reorder). Now I want to try that mist by Physicians Formula!
RIGHT. Acne is never going to be fun, no matter when people deal with it. But my goooodness, the amount of options that are readily accessible now? It’s such a better time to deal with acne tbh!
Cleansers aren’t things I play around with as much, because I have picky skin. I’ve literally been using the LRP Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser since 2018😂 I’m a new sub as I just came across your videos yesterday (I have no idea how, I’ve been watching skincare reviews for literally ever!) but I love your personality as well as the products you choose! I also have dry sensitive skin and it’s nice to see that represented!
Please do facial bar cleansers!
I am enjoyed the video. I think I will be buying more US brands going forward. Thanks Alice enjoy you're week as well.
🥰🥰
So excited for this series! And I’m really excited to find out who is going to win your giveaway! There were quite a few things in that haul I was really looking forward to trying. 🤞❤
Haha I’m so glad to hear y’all are looking at what I put in those. It’s admittedly a goofy amount of thought that goes into them. Gotta include the best!! 😁
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I think that’s why you’re one of my favorites, you really do seem to genuinely enjoy running your channel and it makes your content that much more engaging. 😊
^^^ say it louder for the people in the back!! Yesss! Your dedication and passion does not go unnoticed Alice ❤
Great recommendation of affordable effective products here and I am so glad to see some of my favorites in this group!! I am surprised I didn’t see retinaldahyde next to adapalene tho…by any chance do you use both in your skincare routine ?
I do! I’m not sure whether I’ll make a second indies video or just stick the indies in with high end (I think the latter; why recommend only pricey products when geek & gorgeous has great options for way less??)
But yeah, spoiler for where that will fit in lol
I always figured micellar waters were probably all the same but I had only ever used bioderma. I decided to try the garnier one instead of replacing my bioderma-terrible decision lol. It’s most definitely not the same. It’s noticeably more soapy and it irritates my eyes like you wouldn’t believe. It’s especially weird because it doesn’t actually burn or sting my eyes, yet it makes them water uncontrollably and makes them feel weirdly uncomfortable. I feel like they put something in there to make it not sting, to help mask how irritating it is. I’ll be picking up my trusty bioderma tomorrow and I won’t be straying ever again😂.
You’re not alone! As someone who can use Garnier, I did initially fall into the mindset of “they’re the same??”
But I have seen a lot of comments like yours, hence why I’ve changed my tune. I think it’s important to note when a lot of people say they are reacting to a product!
I have not tried the Cereve toner, you may have convinced me to try it
Watch out, it’s a stock-issues toner lol!
Great reviews as always. Have an amazing week ❌️ ⭕️
You too! Hope you’re having a blast organizing your makeup 😃💕
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I am Alice. It was an amazing Anniversary gift. I absolutely love it!😁❌️⭕️
I didn't know that the rosehip seed oil from Good Molecules is the chilean one (rosa mosqueta/rubiginosa) which is the one I prefer. Very good to know! I'm from the province of Québec and we do have a local company here called Divine Essence that carries the same variety.
I feel that you have far better and wider options in the US for drugstore skincare. And I so wish we had Ulta here as well!
Thanks for all your videos, I appreciate your contents and all your knowledge. You are definitely one of my favorite skinfluencers because you really know what you're talking about. ;-)
It’s such an interesting variant of rosehip. I do feel I get more from it (perhaps from the trace RA, perhaps from a better nutrient profile?)
Thank you for the kind words! 🥰
uherrrrm yes, hi, helloooooo. Just found you, love your content and vibe (chill af but still fun). Your skin seems to like a lot of the same products as mine 🙂
I use the Cicaplast B5 in the morning on my oily skin but I use a small amount and rub it between my fingers first so it starts to go clear, it seems to apply better that way. I can even apply two finger lengths of suncream over the top, although I let the Cicaplast sit for five minutes first. Not sure I'll be able to do this in summer but it's great for a cold English winter!
Ohhh that’s a great idea!
Oh Alice! How fun!!! I would have to add the vanicream Cleanser! I think you would love it!! Super satisfying foamy rich texture and absolutely dry skin friendly! I would add the Byoma mist (it’s like the Cerave in that it has ceramides), the bubble clay mask is AMAZING and I normally cannot stand a clay mask! I love the Rosen toner for brightening and OMG I agree with you on the Physicians formula mist🤌🤌🤌my favorite new sunscreen is the good molecules! I can’t wait for you to try/review it! I love their backuchiol oils too…what am I forgetting…oh my automatic rebuy is the BOJ dynasty cream. I wish we could get that at Ulta! Oh! I nearly forgot…I’m sure you have tried it but the vegan ceramide line from Pacifica is unbelievably fabulous. I am currently using the lotion as (I am combo leaning dry) my day moisturizer. I have used the serum and the cream too and they are all wonderful. It’s the thankfully fragrance free (allergies👋) line in the pretty lavender color❤ sorry for the epic comment and thank you so
Much for all you do!
I used the Pacifica for the first time last night, and I was FLOOOOORED. It truly does feel like biossance/ghost democracy! How did they do it!? And I’m so glad y’all talked me into buying it, because my general experiences with Pacifica have been mixed. You were very right!!
I can’t wait to trial Bubble/Byoma next year. I have a feeling I’m going to end up with quite a few favorites from those brands!
The only way I got the ordinarys buffet to not pill on me was by mixing it with another serum-just 2 drops of argireline and it completely stopped the pulling for me 🤷♀️
I don't have problems w/TO serums pilling. I do have nml/oily combo skin. & yes I wear makeup 💄.
Alice my 23 year old son struggles with acne and discoloration left from acne.
After I watch this video I will order the benzoyl cleanser and la roche Posay cream you recommend. I bought him the good molecules niacinimide toner and brightening serum to use in the morning.
T
Thank you
Happy to help! I’d also let him know that the “adapalene sandwich” method works wonders. It’s simply: light moisturizer - adapalene - heavier moisturizer (it’s also ok to use the same moisturizer in both spots). Doing this seems to slow down the release of the adapalene into the skin, reducing irritation, but it doesn’t inhibit effectiveness. It’s a wonderful way to apply it!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you so much. I will let him know.
I have him on the good molecules set for brightening and dark spots plus moisturizer with spf In the morning.
Ok.... you gotta check out Fenty's new Fat water Toner! It's apparently fabulous and allows makeup to glide on wonderfully. Interesting ingredients, yup, lots of Niacinimide tho... I'm considering it. So far one gal I follow loves it.
Omg I totally missed that there are two now!! 🤯 thank you for the heads up! I actually do like the OG, and I think it’s wise that she introduced an unscented option in addition 😃
What step do u skip when you use the versed exfoliating mask? And how often?? Thank you for such amazing recommendations!! 😘
I don’t really skip a step, instead I use it after cleansing, leave on 2-3 min (it’s a quick one), wash off and continue. And no more than once per week 😊
You were right about the Cerave toner, I’m tempted to buy 100 bottles, so I never run out 😂😂😂
Oh, and absolute YES to the series, please 🎉
Right. I really didn’t want to have to play the “is it in stock?” game, but whew this one is worth it 😭
Oooo!! Alice!! I’ve been wanting to tell you: Vanicream has a $20 THD Vitamin C serum that is bland. Only C and ceramides! I’ll probably try it once I run out of my Timeless C.
😱😱 oh wow, that sounds fantastic!
I just realized the irony while typing that. We’re both like “YESSS I love bland!!” 🤣 is this one of those “tell me you have sensitive skin without telling me you have sensitive skin…” things 🙃😆
@@AliceintheRabbitHole YUP. I am always SO happy to find great, effective, bland formulas. Takes the guesswork out. 😂😂💀
When my skin Is really dry, eczema flare I love the cicaplast balm day and night. On occasion it burns a little bit does go away
Do you have a trick for making it spread easier? Or just roll with it because it’s so healing (I can understand that if so haha!)
I need to try some Bubble.❌️⭕️
I ordered their mask trio from their site on Black Friday and so far every single one is a BANGER! Alice got me hooked on that serum. They are really a cool brand if a little youth centered. They sent me stickers 😂 I hope your dinner is great!
Yesss!! So happy you’re enjoying them!!
You are spot on with youth-centered 🤣 - did you get the email from them titled “holiday thingy on sale!” I confess I did a little eye roll there. But I’ll take the word “thingy” and the stickers for some of the best products I’ve ever tried, that are coincidentally inexpensive as well 😳
The Versed milky cleanser leaves a frustratingly thick film on my face! I'm a big fan of creamy/milky cleansers, so I wanted to love it. Unfortunately, something about my skin and/or my tap water just makes it impossible to get it off. I think it honestly leaves a heavier film than any oil cleanser I've ever tried, enough that it actually feels like I have a moisturizer on. So weird!
Love other Versed products, just not their cleansers!
Peach Slices Azelaic acid is less than 1/2 of PC!
I don't get PhysForm either. They had sunscreen powder (& even sunscreen blush) in stores. It was great because it wasn't going to spill all in ur purse. They still make the powder. They ought to at least have it in stores in summer.
I can’t figure it out for the life of me! Like…what company wants to go through the time, effort, and money of making a product to….ignore its existence?? Especially when it’s AMAZING. Baffling, truly.
Amen to Aqufor
It’s wonderful stuff!
Hi. Cooking and watching ❌️ ⭕️
I multi-task too 😊
I love the good molecules niacinamide more than their serum.
I need to get the inexpensive peptide cuz the GKU 2nd generation is 80 bucks so I only use after microneedling.
And oil I have the clarins and I mixed emu and grapeseed into it for when it ever gets cold here. 80 flipping degrees today.
Lol yes I feel you on the warm weather! It’s been odd to adjust to, and I say that as someone who still moved from the south 🤯
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I am literally dripping putting on makeup for work. Yuk
The ordinary came out with a glucoside cleanser. Brand new, it doesn't really excite me. They are coming out with new stuff.
I also got an email from them that they’re discontinuing their foundation and concealer. Feels like “out with the old, in with the new”!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole i just want them to bring some of the stuff from hylamide into their lineup after those discontinuations
Seriously!! I don’t know why they’re just dropping that line when so many people have HGs from it 😭
Hi, do you have any recommendations for a cleanser, I'm putting together a huge gift basket of multiple things for my sister, I bought some reusable cotton rounds and a couple of face halos, so want to put a cleanser to go with them.. I seem to use the same things, BOJ ginseng oil cleanser and rovection HA Cleanser. She has dry skin and wears make up and sunscreen. Maybe a balm?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. 🙏💕
A cleansing balm rec? My K-Beauty favorites are Beauty of Joseon, or Heimish if you like a bit of scent in that step (both have the awesome flip-top lid haha). Orrr for very dry skin, my fav is still Sioris for a cream cleanser, but your Rovectin cleanser works just as well on dry skin in conjunction with a balm cleanser.
I love that you’re doing a gift basket. Great minds - that’s exactly what I do, with the same type of products too. She’s going to absolutely love it!! 😍
@@AliceintheRabbitHole awesome thank you. I might do the heimish balm, as I have liked that in the past, and maybe the rovectin one too. Yes in my family I am the Queen of gift giving, I plan months in advance. I love seeing how happy they are opening them all. 😊🎁🎄🎅
Theres a brand called Sukin that uses the same type of rosehip with the vit a in it 🙂
Whoa awesome, thank you for letting me know! I’m fully convinced that’s the best type of rosehip
Hmm have you tried the biom moisturizer concentrate? I have dry skin too, i feel like we like similar products. Its a barrier repair cream- what do you think about it?
Who makes it? That sounds up my alley!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole its one of bliss’ products!! Have you heard of them? I suggest you try that whole line cuz ppl also rave about the cleansing balm!
I'm sure you must have explained that before but do you put oils on before or on top of your moisturizer? I stopped using oils a long time ago to avoid breakouts but with the super drying winter weather and as I'm currently adapting to retinaldehyde, I'm thinking of adding some oil to extra moisturize.
Tbh my favorite way to use them lately is mixed into a moisturizer! It’s just easier to condense the two into one step ☺️
@@AliceintheRabbitHole makes sense. I bought the ordinary's B Oil during their BF sale so I'll definitely give it a try. Thank you!
have you tried good molecules peptide serum?
I actually have, but not for a long enough period of time to have a fully formed opinion on it. Thanks for mentioning it though, I’ll start using it again!!
Byoma has a whole skincare set for the holiday at Sephora if u want to try alot income shot for a good price and I'm sure u can get ur deals I was surised to see it. O yea I think u need to get the Ferver fremented black tea milk cleanser for morning cleanser super nice and gentle have used it 2 ND cleanse to when I actually go for second cleanse I useally just u farmacy of biosionse elderberry and wash off and I'm good but I am really like the fermented black tea milk for like 14$
* O I did get the new squalene copper peptide serum they had a new size 1 once and it was 25$ with the tax and a certain amount goes to help sharks. But the mini is 1 once lol 25$ for 1 once that is a usual western serum price and is u got 2 at 2 onces it still would be cheaper then the regular size but they are still having 30 % off so I can get the omgea creamsets and all that's and a free gift. I so new u would loved that verses cleanser I swear everything I tell u about u fall in love wether I tried or not I guess cause we have the same skin type.
Yes, speaking of that - you were right about the Pacifica ceramide cream! I tried it last night and 😱😱. SO glad y’all talked me into that!
I was at Target tonight (which is rare for me) and I’m kicking myself for forgetting to find the Ferver. I had it on my list as there’s $4 back via Ibotta, but I must have just overlooked it 🤦♀️ hopefully I can get back out there soon
Byoma at Sephora?? I’m not seeing it, do you know the name of the set?
I wonder if I have allergies to certain US chemical sunscreen filters. I wonder if korean sunscreen will be better. I mean I've been able to use some so I don't know. Maybe it's the concentrations.
I slowly figured out which filters work for me, and which ones don’t. And my problem is that it’s ALL chemical UVA filters that are approved in the US. Means an all-chemical sunscreen is completely out for me here, although some hybrids do work (for example: DRMTLGY!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole awww I'm sorry that sucks, at least you figured out what works for you tho.
I haven't had much luck with Versed skincare. I tried a serum that was OK. Versed mask was to gentle. Another Versed resurfacing glycolic acid mask was to strong. I think I'm giving up on them.
Oh I relate! And don’t get me started on their mineral sunscreen! But, I’m
Enjoying their retinol body cream!
I have noped out of trying pretty much any mineral sunscreen these days 🤣
But yeah it’s true that no brand is for everyone!
Do you know if there's a dupe for the cicaplast? It's out of stock literally everywhere and my winter skin is super sad
Sadly no, but I know the reason IS the reformulation. It’s coming - hopefully soon! 😭
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I guess I'll survive... Maybe... 😂 Thank you!
I love the Aveeno, but its not Cruelty Free and the packaging is wasteful given the tiny quantity - you have to keep repurchasing the cardboard box and the plastic tub every 4 weeks. Its not cheap either.
You missed your calling. You'd make a great QVC host. 🙂
🤣🥰
I always see you put on a lot of layers on your face.
Do you have a solution to avoid pilling?
I always have that.
🐰
Good molecules niacinamide toner was a bully on my skin. To harsh.
I find that product needs to be used very sparingly... Another a bunch of other hydrating toners
Drugstore? They have these brands at Walgreen’s or CVS? 🤔
Yes! Some are at Target/Ulta, but all are pretty easy to find in the US 😊
Sucks that adaplene has a paraben.
Not really. You're probably taking in 1000s of time more estrogen-like chemicals of concern in your foods you eat, and the plastics you wear, the food packaging, and food storage, shower curtain you use ect. It makes me laugh to see people worried about parabens who are drinking from plastic bottles, wearing polyester yoga clothes and eat soy in everything, and using colored beauty products with the dyes and perfumes that are all more estrogenic than parabens ever was.
You have a funny, strange, shaky voice xD
(dolphin squeaks)
