Another thing I like with stylevana is they usually have a discount code in their ins for 16%-20% off and 1-2 bonus free full size items, and the free items can add up to $40-50. So i usually have a cart ready, and order when they have the free item I want the most.
Yup, with STYLEVANA it's extremely important to pay attention to shipping instructions. As I said in a previous comment, I had one item "to be shipped in 30 days" and my entire order took 6 weeks to arrive. While for an other order, everything was "shipped in 24h", and it arrived in one week. Granted, I live in France but it's generally the same everywhere. Thank you Alice for the recap. Your videos are always the most helpful ❤
How do you like living in France? I'm obsessed with the idea of moving there. I follow several chateau channels, and France couldn't beckon me with more vigor!
Follow-up: I placed an order on Monday and received it on Saturday!!! 5 days y'all 😮. I'm on the east coast and I paid the $2 insured shipping, not sure if that matters. Seems ship time has been improving imo.
I like yesstyle the most out of the 3, but I actually prefer oliveyoung only because there shipping to me is the fastest. I always get my orders within less than a week and I’ve been using them for about 2 years now. The only thing with olive young is if your a 1st time buyer your going to pay more vs what you spend after reaching their highest membership tier. But still worth it for me.
yeah, oliveyoung does reward generously for being a repeat customer. also they're quite good for buying things you already know you like because of their exclusive size offerings, like they're selling the dokdo cleanser in 200ml double pack for 26 dollars right now, and cosrx propolis toner pack in exclusive 280ml bottles (original being 150ml) for 30 dollars.
Actually I don’t mind waiting for my order. My last order from Stylevana took like 4 weeks. It didn’t matter to me. When my products are half empty I usually order them, by the time they are all empty my order is here.
Yep. I feel that once you understand how it works, and know what to expect, it’s not really a big deal And all that money saved can buy tacos instead (good pastime while waiting for the order to arrive) 😌
My last Stylvana order was a few weeks ago and I was shocked how fast I got it. I think it was less than two weeks. The tracking didn't really work, and I had no idea it was even in the US. And then there it was at my door! 😄
I recently ordered more than once on both sites to compare. Both delivered everything without any taxes or issues. Avarage shipping time from the moment they send the package is around 12-14 days to europe (germany). Stylevana tends to ship out within 1-3 days even when the products are listed ready in 24hours. Yesstyle is sometimes faster with shipping out but not always. Overall both are fine and I recommend comparing the prices for each product as well as its availability, discount codes and then decide were to order or make a split order on both sites :)
Hey, I live in Germany and want to order the products, which one do I think is Best. Since I have ordered two times from Olivi young , but I need to custom charges.
Thank you for this Alice. I’ve only used Stylevana. I haven’t paid customs for them but I have had some extremely long wait times. There was an order that I was awaiting stock on but I didn’t have a low stock or no stock indicator. Two days before they shipped they let me know I would get a refund and that I no longer had to wait for my order. They never did respond to any of my correspondence with them regarding the unusual delays. Communication was just one way. I’m stunned by the virtuoso packing and the prices and the quality of everything I’ve bought. This order was three months from order date to delivery date.
That seems to be the story with emails to them. I feel flustered by it because on one hand, I know for a fact that there are people sending multiple emails 24 hours after they purchase (I get comments telling me this) - I imagine that’s a lot of clutter in their inbox! But nonetheless, the patient customers who understand how their system works shouldn’t get neglected. Basically, if stylevana ever sees this video…change “ships in 24 hours” to “arrives in 2-4 weeks”!! It would help EVERYONE 😩
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I usually wait two weeks before I respond. My packages come via courier. I can track it but only if I go to a different expeditor website. It changes hands once it gets to Canada and I can track from this courier’s site. It takes about two weeks to leave Korea and to arrive at my location. It takes about two weeks to assemble and leave from Korea.
@@catherinelynnfraser2001 Hi, Question about the Canadian order. Did you order just to free shipping. And no custom on that? I'm still deciding on my cart, so would appreciate if you can share more info :)
@Stephanie-nf9hl I'm in Canada and frequently order from stylevana (it's an addiction, really). I always just do free shipping and have never had to pay for customs. The orders can take a while (anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months depending on the stock). However, I have always received my order. I even received an order that was refunded to my absolute suprise (that was the 3 month one). I would recommend / agree with Alice that if possible place your order with PayPal as communication with stylevana is difficult and can take a long time to actually resolve an issue. Hope that helps. Happy shopping!
Your 2023 version of this type of this video helped me chose which place I wanted to order from. U inspired me to make an order through one of these sites. And I chose to use Stylekorean as I wanted quite a bit of products and fast shipping. The shipping is incredibly fast. I ordered on a Saturday, shipped Monday and was here Wednesday! Idk how that is even possible… literally 2 day shipping, I was shocked lol. They somehow did that and I’m impressed. They have quite good prices and deals too. I managed to get many items without actually spending a ridiculous amount of money like I would at American retailers. I very much plan on ordering again in the future :) this video was helpful to learn about other retailers for future purchases.
I live in small country in Europe and Yesstyle is the only global retailer that offers affordable shipping for my country. Stylevana doesn't ship to me for some reason, while other EU countries are included except for mine. Stylekorean has extremely expensive shipping, without free shipping option + import taxes. Yesstyle includes all taxes in final price, but it's still cheaper than buying same things from European stores. But they did disappoint me when they reduces points for purchase and point for reviews last year
I'm from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. Placed an order with stylevane September 12th 2023, shipped to Miami and then got my order Jan 3rd 2024. Was really long. I probably won't order here again unless my items aren't urgent. But the free items always makes me wanna shop as well as their prices are really good. My yesstyle order usually takes 2-3weeks for it to get to me
It's worth saying that (unless they've hidden how to change it), stylekorean only show prices in USD. For those of us not in the US, that makes it a little hard to know exactly how good a deal is and leaves us at the mercy of constantly changing exchange rates. I don't really use them for this reason
I’ve seen some folks say they think of stylevana orders as “gifts from their past self” lol. It really can feel like, “oh this is here! Now what did I order??” 🤣
My one issue with Stylevana is their automatic responses. I understand it can be difficult for stylevana to answer every email (especially if people are emailing 24 hours after ordering 🙄). However when you wait almost a month before contacting them and they send a generic response it can be extremely frustrating especially when the response has nothing to do with your original email. I think it would save a lot of time and frustration if they actually read the emails before responding.
I absolutely agree. They need a better way to filter by real concerns vs those who placed an order yesterday morning and are wondering why it’s not at their doorstep.
Every time I've order from Stylevana Ive gotten my order pretty much exactly 3 weeks after confirming my order. I'm alright with that. Products are great, it's affordable at least compared to U.S skincare, and my lizard brain really enjoys "leveling up" my rewards rank whenever I order more stuff Lol. I've been toying around with the idea of ordering from Yes style or Style Korean buuuuut I'm not sure I will. 😂 Faster shipping sounds kind of nice but I prefer saving money so I'd have to get a better deal somewhere else for me to switch it up.
USPS tracking numbers that don't work usually mean they generated a label for the package they didn't end up using. Their notification system must not be set up to display or send a second/updated one.
np! @@AliceintheRabbitHole it's usually human error--hitting 'new label' instead of reprint if the label rips, printer jams, stuff like that. Easy to do if they're in a rush or on autopilot.
I used to shop in only Yesstyle for years since 2017 too! Until i discovered Stylevana in around 2020. Then used them both, mostly Stylevana as it's much cheaper, and Yesstyle seems to have gotten more expensive over the years. But YesStyle has much better shipping, and has much more variety especially Japanese beauty which I love from living in Japan plus clothes etc, which Stylevana lacks, it seems to focus mostly on Korean with a small amount of J-Beauty nothing else. So now, if my order is mostly Korean, I go with Stylevana, especially if I want to buy a lot. While if it's Japanese beauty Yesstyle is what I use or if I need products not available on Stylevana. We don't pay for customs in the UK either, or at least I never have in the hundreds of orders I have made. StyleKorean is not available for us in the UK I think.
Exactly, I really think both Vana and YesStyle have their place! I also love YesStyle for their communication. I can log in and see how my order is coming along, which is so very helpful! Alas, there’s a bit of a price hike, most likely for all the convenience (I do remember the 2017 prices though 👀)
Hi Alice, I wanted to let you know that this is at least the third time I have made an order through Stylevana and tried to use your code and it won't take it. I wonder if this happens for other people. It DID take their code, but not yours! I entered through your HOWL portal, so I hope you get some credit, but I have probably made $500+ worth of orders and not been able to use your code. :-( You deserve the credit because at least some of the items are from exposure from your channel. Also, I'm going to promote your membership program to people here, your reviews are so worth that!
Most of my Stylevana orders arrive within 9-12 days from the moment I place them (I live in the UK). One time, a few months ago, I really wanted an item that said "dispatched within 30 days" so bought it anyway, along with items that could be dispatched "within 24h". The order took about 2 weeks to be dispatched, so not a month. I got it after about 3.5 weeks which is great!
Thank you so much for doing these videos, Alice, they are So helpful! I shop from these 3 places as well and I have learned so much from you... and saved so much money! You're the best, lady! 😊
I live on Switzerland and Style Korean is out of question. The shipment costs are some 44$!!! I shop at iHerb, S. California. Quick delivery but the stock is not so great. Stylevana app sucks so I stick to Yesstyle if I am willing to wait several weeks. I ordered from Olive Young twice but since they add postage on the declaration (even though my order was high enough to be foc) I ended up paying pretty high customs duty 😢. Never ever. Then there are some more shops in Europe that I tried line Notino, Shishicherie, even Zalando or some drugstores.
Stylekorean is my personal pick. But being able to order at one site for a large variety of japanese, korean, and chinese beauty at yesstyle is really hard to beat!
Agreed! I feel like my YesStyle orders are the most fun for their wide variety. Stylekorean gets second place for fun though because of the snacks haha
In my experience in ordering from stylevana and yestyle, the issue is not how long it take to ship out of their warehouse, it's the actual shipping that takes a while. They are probably using the cheapest option so it's not express. My last order was held up in Amsterdam for about a week, and that has nothing to do with stylevana. 😊
I think the customer service at stylevana is not bad, they will respond to your question eventually. but yes the shipping time takes about 1 month at least. so start ordering sunscreen for summer! but I always buy more than I need, it's no problem getting delayed products.
Thank you for your always entertaining videos. 🤗 My first purchase was Acwell and that was from I Herb in 2019 🤣. My first purchase was from I Herb, then YesStyle and Stylevana and now just YesStyle, Jolse and I Herb. I only buy things if I can get things for less than €15. Most recently I bought the entire I'm From range at Jolse 😮💨
iHerb really is a great option. I have no idea how they ship SO fast, much less why it’s a guy in a little red car that delivers my orders (!? It’s true tho), but I cannot complain!
Hi Alice, great video, I live in Canada and buy from both Stylevana and Yesstyle. I alternate between how fast I need the items, and have never paid custom fees. I get the best deals on stylevana and if they are of stock, I get a refund on my credit card in a few days❤❤
Hi Alice. Glad to see this content. I know these sites take awhile to ship but the prices are worth it. I do compare prices onAmazon and I herb too. Enjoy your videos and look forward to your posts. Cheers❤
Just wanted to let u know Tir Tir is having an amazing valentine day sale they have sets marked down with the 2 products then the toner is onsale for 25$ with another 35% off
I placed an order on December 28th. It said everything was in stock. It wasn't shipped out for 2 weeks. I emailed them and they said they were waiting for something to come in stock. Long story short, I cancel that item. And it's still took another two weeks before I got the order.
I refuse to order at Stylekorean because I'd have to pay additional 19% tax on the total value of the order AND on top of that a "service fee" to DHL for "handling customs". And if all of that manages to exceed the threshold of 150 Euro, then I'd have to pay additional custom duties of 19 %. At that price point, I could just cover my skin with luxury skincare from head to toe 🫠 Amazon is overpriced and they sell fakes sometimes. Stylevana is the no. 1 saving grace, YesStyle comes in on second place. I don't care if Stylevana takes longer to ship or if their customer service is slow, at least they accommodate for EU customers and take care of all the custom issues on their own and without additional costs. I will fight anyone (aka start a discussion with anyone) who calls them scammers 😤😂
Hahaha I feel exactly the same! If I see all the scammers comments on SV insta, and I just want to yell: they don't scam you, they are just freaking sloooooow! That is why I always order when my products are 2/3 empty. So that I have my backup in time. Only use yesstyle when stylevana doesn't have the product
Yuuup. I’ve had people tell me they started emailing stylevana 24 hours after placing their order. Im over here with this face: 🙄😒 Imagine how much they’re clogging up Stylevana’s inbox! It’s a bit of give and take though, as I fully believe that Vana should change their site to say “arrives in 2-4 weeks”, but at the same time…this IS explained in their FAQ. People clearly don’t read that before giving their money to the company!?!
I love buying from stylevana it’s better than anything I can get in Germany and also affordable, I got my first 3 orders in 12 days to 14 days, the 4th one took more than 20 days , I don’t mind it that much if I get what I want in the end 😅
One of the items from my March 2024 order from Stylevana, Aestura - Atobarrier 365 Bubble Cleanser, had a misspelled word on the bottle. Instead of "cleanser", it says "clenser" :(. I may have received a fake product. There are several other reviews saying similar things on the Aestura - AtoBarrier 365 Cream - 80 ml product. This is concerning as now I question the authenticity of every single product I received from them with my 10+ orders in the past few years....
Life hack when you have too much skincare... Make an order for Stylevana with a heavy discount on a thing you don't need (likely heavily discounted because they're clearing out older stock) and find 1 item not in, or likely to come back into stock (think sold out holiday release). Your order won't ship for 3-4 months, the item you tacked on will likely be dropped from your order (possibly resulting in a lower cart cost than minimum shipping), the discounted items will be a fresh stock and you'll have 3-4 months to continue clearing out the things you already had in your stash. Also I think the items the codes don't work on are tied to existing sales like the secret member discounts, they're getting a bit more savvy at prohibiting stacking sales.
I was a loyal Stylvanna costumer but after seeing the video I took a chance with Yesstyle and positively surprised how quickly they processed the orders and got delivered (approx 3 weeks to the UK). Would love to try testerkorean but can't find any recent reviews.
No I hadn’t. Used YesStyle 3 times now -one order was sent in 2 parts- and all 4 parcels came with no issues or custom charges. All parcels took 2-3 weeks. I believe there’s a limit of £135 before we start to pay customs and YesStyle additionally has some sort of customs charges - I think if you have to pay any they’ll give you store credit.
@@mariuszkozlowski8242 okay, Thanks a lot for ur reply. I live in Germany, I ordered from Olive Young for 97 euro and I need to pay custom to delivery person .
Great Vid as usually...What I have noticed the past month or so, Stylevana has these half/price sales, and the new price isn't great at all. Things seem to hover over $20. So maybe it's my paranoid imagination, but the original prices are high and the sale prices are not that great. I may be wrong but it seems they could be getting a bit more pricey. I ordered from Stylevana at the end of Dec. All items said they were in stock. It's on it's way now, so that's around 6 weeks. But do I absolutely NEED all that I ordered...No!...most looking forward to the lipstick I ordered.
Lately I have only been ordering the half price stock. This last time I actually started to compare prices with yestyle and I think you might be right. They are artificially raising the prices and then putting them in sale
@@barbarar5869 Yes I never used to compare prices with Stylevana, but now I check against yesstyle, and Olive Young, which is pricey. I keep waiting for the Dr. Ceuracle Essence to go down in price, but I don't think that will happen. I think the best deals on Stylevans may be the 20% off, I don't know if you can stack influence codes on top of that.
I bought some sunscreen and some serum that were marked as in stock, and the shipped within 24 hours. I did not get the shipping email notification until a a few weeks later though. Took what felt like forever. I will be using stylekorea next time. Thanks! ☺️
Stylevana is my go to for Kbeauty👍🏽 Low prices and there's always an offer. Wish they would specify the percentage deals that it's UP TO that specific offer, like most shops do. For example 15% off when you spend £65. But then when I do the maths🧐 it's more like 12% 💁🏽♀️
On the topic of brands being excluded from discount code effectivity - SK II is a gleaming example, which is a bummer 😁 even though Stylevana has horrificly long shipping times, planning and ordering in advance can truly save you a lot of money - still worth it in my view (as I have drawer full of other skincare I need to plow through 😅)
Speaking from Spain, products in stock are deliver in 3-4 weeks in Stylevana and also in Yesstyle. So there is not really any difference between both retailers more than the price (stylevana usually are cheaper and the offer to subscribers are better).
Great content as always. Though I have checked out your videos on and off, i have subscribed till now! I used Stylevana for the first time and I received my little haul within 2 days of placing my order. Granted I am based in HK where I believe Stylevana ships from.
I like the great care taken to package items safely and with bubble wrap. Yesstyle looks like they just threw things inside box. Yes, Tetris, it's amazing how they do it!
YesStyle is the only retailer from whom I’ve received a broken item 😩 (that said, they did replace it without making me send the damaged item back - and quickly too, within 48 hours of my email!)
Ordered from Stylevana for a long time but it seems like the shipping is taking a ridiculous amount of time, especially as it gives you a shipping estimate that is often inaccurate. I’m now a faithful Yesstyle fan cuz the prices are similar and the shipping is faster.
Stylevana is a hit or miss! I’ve ordered some things in November of 2023 and STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANYTHING! I’ve only been able to email them since they’re located in Hong Kong and the customer rep said they will look into it and then NEVER responded back! I can’t get the package OR get my money back.
This is like the IYKYK way better than the Sephora sale rec video. Thanks, Alice. I have gravitated to YesStyle in the past for having reliable ingredient info available. Do you think that’s still true? PayPal is a joke these days for customers when they run into an uncooperative retailer. I am still trying to get a refund from Athleta. I’ve fallen away from using cash back sites so that was a good reminder.
Eh. I don’t think that depends on the retailers as much as it does the brands (as someone who has taken sponsorships, it is WILD to see how differently each brand operates. I guess it’s not that different from how individual people are more reliable than others lol) The biggest problem seems to come from reformulations, wherein the brand doesn’t always communicate to the retailer that a change has taken place!
I used Muji moisturiser in the big bottle many years ago. It was one of the first if not first Japanese skincare product I used. I see that they're still available - they have different versions - lighter and more moisturising. I had the "moisture" version😊It was really good!
When I buy the ready to go stuff from Stylevana it takes a month in the US. It is significantly cheaper though. I don't mind paying extra and for the premium shipping for yesstyle and I like the other stuff they have that I always "need."
Hello - I just need to tell you that I adore you, I have been subscribed for a bit now (watched before without being subscribed). I am in Canada, and we get hit with duty BIG TIME from all three of these retailers, we do have Canadian K-beauty online sites to purchase from which are not bad. In the future, I would for you to do some comparison reviews on toner pads from the various k beauty brands. I just love your content Alice, I enjoy watching all of your videos and appreciate the time you spend on doing your reviews. ❤❤❤
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Amazing! looking forward to it - I did buy some from Pyunkang Yul (currently one of my favorite brands - purchased the ones from the calming line), and I also purchased some from Mediheal (Retinol Collagen lifting pads) - so far not so impressed, maybe a learning curve.
Hi there, I am a little late to the comments but I am also curious as to how orders to Canada are shipped. I was told if I kept my order to under $60 then I would not be hit with a duty. I saw no mention of shipping via DHL, which is the devil as I am in Northern BC, very far away from a self clear office. I was thinking of ordering from YesStyle but I am terrified of unspecified duties even after doing my research.
@@shandel499 I don't know how much - but they do use DHL - at least the last time I ordered and I only ordered three sunscreens and ended up paying an extra 60.00 in duties. Kinda ridiculous for us Canadians IMO.
Not sure what happened but my yesstyle order took over a month. They aaid that one product was out of stock so they were waiting on that. I kinda wished they show that when you order but at least it arrived. I'm going to trh Sylevana next. Fingers crossed! Thanks for uploading this. It's very helpful.
Oh!! I can tell you how to check that Log in from a computer, go to account -> order history. Click on the order itself. It will show the status line by line for each item. If an item ever sits in “waiting for stock” past the estimate they gave (ie 7-14 days, 21-30 days), the bottom of the screen will show an option to cancel that item and ship out the order without it ☺️
My first Korean purchase was through Jolse. They had really good prices, but not as much selection as SV or YS. Shipping was 3-4 weeks. Not a bad first experience but I got spoiled by some really quick orders from YS. SV has been a mixed bag for me in terms of shipping.❤
Jolse does run some good promos too - especially free shipping no minimum! but yep, I feel you on the fast shipping. It’s quite nice to receive an order from overseas faster than Sephora/Ulta can ship (how do they do it!?)
I made 2 separate orders at the end of December they both arrived a month to the day I placed it. All the products were in stock. One box was full of sunscreen and I was on my last tube!!! It made me a nervous wreck!! I had some coupons which is why I place 2 orders.
I’ve seen buildings go up faster than Stylevana can ship a parcel. It’s like the staff is personally harvesting the raw ingredients to make the sunscreens I ordered. Ordered my latest shipment in late February and it’s been almost a month, and it still hasn’t shipped. I’m doubtful the payment takes processing because the money is gone immediately from my account, but maybe I don’t understand how international payments work.
Stylevana is really slipping. I’m in the UK, they have items listed as in stock and dispatched within 24 hours only for things to take 4-5 weeks. Don’t know why they have a ‘UK’ site when they never ship from here.
Oh no really?? I really think they need to add the option to remove items on the website. YesStyle has a system like this; if it’s ever over the estimate, you can log right in and remove the “stuck” item. No need for CS to get involved!
It’s super frustrating. I placed an order for my favourite mascara, the Heimish Dalisim. Stated 24 hour shipping. 2 weeks later it was still showing as ‘processing’. I had to get them to cancel the order as I’m moving in 2 weeks, which would have been 5 weeks since placing the order. I just couldn’t risk it arriving after I’d moved. Their CS offered a discount on my next order if I continued to wait but I just couldn’t risk it.
I've ordered from Stylevana's "UK website", many, many times and most of my orders arrive within 2 weeks🤔. Maybe it depends on what you order? Who knows...
I’ve heard folks say to make 2 small orders, stuff that’s in stock on one and delayed on the other, however I’m not sure if that works or not as I haven’t tried yet 🤷♀️I’ve used Korean and Japanese retailers on eBay and there have come in 2-3 weeks to the UK
I just got my order from stylevana that I placed before Christmas and now I don’t want to open it 😅 Not only they are slow but their shipping partner in socal sucks. I’m in central valley like 4 hours away from their shipping partner in Compton and it’s always take them at least a week to arrive at my local post office to be delivered.
Okay, you have seriously piqued my interest in StyleKorean. I had no idea! Fast shipping, lower free shipping threshold,, and snacks are all big draws (even though I've totally gotten used to the delayed gratification of Stylevana lol). No affiliate option for you though? 😥 Either way, thank you so much for such a thorough pros/cons review of each of these retailers 🙏
Yes!! Yup that $60 threshold makes a difference! Especially since snacks make the absolute *perfect* free shipping filler And even those are discounted vs amazon!!
Stylevana doesn't ship to me in South Africa so I always buy from yes style. They also refund the customs fee as store credit which is a big thing for me as it's about 30% of what you pay for the order. Since I get store credit from the customs refund, I basically always buy from them. So sad that they are no longer giving as many points as they used to though.
I had a Stylevana box take five months to arrive in Aus, then it was damaged in transit. I had evidence of this from the courier. (With insurance number). Took MONTHS to get a refund. This is after many years as a SV customer.
Fellow Aussie here. I've been finding Nudie Glow often cheaper than SV. It's based here, ex comms and always here within a week. Smaller range but great items.
My first k beauty was Jolse…took over a month. I then tried your super 3. Ha I forgot about Jolse. Just checked and they have some low prices. Have u used olive and young? I need a three ring binder to keep up w my purchases to compare companies. 😂😂😂 Great video so put together!
I have made Olive young carts, but I always end up going with another retailer! They seem like a great option, but …they’re a smidge more expensive And I like saving money 🙈🤣
What are your top holy Grail products aside from adapelene and your panoxyl from k or j skincare. Or niche like stratia I see so many that are all Sephora and maybe you've done this but I'm thinking optimization of each routine. Add centela and ginseng for Vit c. Etc or retinol with peptides In other words we got the basics. How to step it up a few notches with some nachos please 😅
It’s ingredients moreso than products tbh. I have to have: adapalene, bpo, and a good sunscreen (the filters I discussed in my favs video) I like to have: peptides, ginseng, bifida, azelaic acid How those manifest is flexible!
Tysm for this video!! I’m a teen with a bit of trouble when it comes to skin lol. I’ve just ordered from StyleKorean like a day ago and found the site thanks to you :D Quick question;; I may have accidentally marked my order as delivered even though I haven’t gotten it yet Do you think that the package will still arrive? Also it’s totally fine if ur not sure! Tysm again
I wish I could shop on StyleKorea but sadly their prices are in USD and not in other currencies (CAD), plus the automatic custom charge fees with DHL. I cannot. I shop on Stylevana mainly, but I do have cons with their discount codes. Specifically, I use their 22% codes that comes up and only recently I tried to math (because I group order with friends) and the math was just not mathing. And it sucks because you don't really know explicitly which item isn't getting that 22% off. I tried contacting customer service and they said the discount applies per item and not the whole order total. Which that is just another problem since the codes are promoted to be used when you spend over a certain amount? SIGH.....
Yeah, stylekorean seems like a less helpful option for folks in Canada, sadly I agree with the wonky codes, but at this point I’ve mostly moved over to using the codes they post to IG for free full size products. Sometimes those are worth a LOT more than a discount. For example I was planning on buying another isntree onion gel and it popped up with another full size for free! Plus 17% off or so, but same story with the unusual math lol
Another thing I like with stylevana is they usually have a discount code in their ins for 16%-20% off and 1-2 bonus free full size items, and the free items can add up to $40-50. So i usually have a cart ready, and order when they have the free item I want the most.
Where can you see the free item they offer?
How can you know what are the free products?
Yup, with STYLEVANA it's extremely important to pay attention to shipping instructions. As I said in a previous comment, I had one item "to be shipped in 30 days" and my entire order took 6 weeks to arrive. While for an other order, everything was "shipped in 24h", and it arrived in one week. Granted, I live in France but it's generally the same everywhere.
Thank you Alice for the recap. Your videos are always the most helpful ❤
It really is! It would be helpful if they had a warning set up at checkout, I think (similarly to yesstyles system)
How do you like living in France? I'm obsessed with the idea of moving there. I follow several chateau channels, and France couldn't beckon me with more vigor!
I live in Germany, Do we need to pay Custom charges?
I love Stylevana. I've ordered 3-4 times and always received my package 10-14 days later 😀
same their shipping has honestly sped up so much i received my order within 1 week
I laughed at the Stylevana packaging being Tetris-approved comment. So true!
Actually I don’t mind waiting for my order. My last order from Stylevana took like 4 weeks. It didn’t matter to me. When my products are half empty I usually order them, by the time they are all empty my order is here.
Yep. I feel that once you understand how it works, and know what to expect, it’s not really a big deal
And all that money saved can buy tacos instead (good pastime while waiting for the order to arrive) 😌
My last Stylvana order was a few weeks ago and I was shocked how fast I got it. I think it was less than two weeks. The tracking didn't really work, and I had no idea it was even in the US. And then there it was at my door! 😄
Haha yup, I do feel it’s always “Oh!! My stylevana order is here!” 🤣
I recently ordered more than once on both sites to compare.
Yuuup, stylekorean CAN be less expensive and worlds faster than the other options, but it depends on catching the right sale. I love them!
My yesstyle order usually takes 2-3weeks for it to get to me
I do appreciate that YesStyle is quite accurate with their estimates!
It's worth saying that (unless they've hidden how to change it), stylekorean only show prices in USD. For those of us not in the US, that makes it a little hard to know exactly how good a deal is and leaves us at the mercy of constantly changing exchange rates. I don't really use them for this reason
Oh I didn’t know this! Thank you for sharing
Not sure you know that YesStyle offers refund for custom related taxes and charges xx
😱😱 whoa thank you for sharing that!!
Hi how do you get the tax refund? I don’t know why they always charge tax when they’re not based in the US
Hi Alice, it takes nearly 3 months to Ireland. By the time it gets here, I’ve completely forgotten what I ordered 😂
I’ve seen some folks say they think of stylevana orders as “gifts from their past self” lol. It really can feel like, “oh this is here! Now what did I order??” 🤣
I have been buying from Stylevana for ages
Oh interesting! Thanks so much for sharing that. It makes sense, though I wonder why they discard a shipping label? 🤔
Oh wow, that’s great to hear!
Thank you so much for doing these videos, Alice, they are So helpful! I shop from these 3 places as well and I have learned so much from you... and saved so much money! You're the best, lady! 😊
Glad to hear! 🥰
I find that if I need some products that not super popular internationally, YesStyle will always have it
Yuuup, they really do
Ty for pointing out the fine print! Mine said 30 days! So I did a partial cancel to remove it.. we’ll see what happens lol
Thanks for the breakdown Alice.
☺️☺️
Getting skii at the cheapest price and 22% off makes waiting worth it for stylevana
That’s a product that I can no longer imagine buying from western retailers. HUGE price difference!!
Your videos are very useful, thank you! 😊 I’m really glad I found your channel, you deserve much more followers! ✨
At least a month? Where do you live? I'm from the UK and my Stylevana orders arrive in about 9-12 days😊
It does seem UK orders arrive about twice as fast as to the U.S.!
Canada! stylevana ships from hongkong Uk is close?@@laynaaa
IHerb is criminally underrated imo
iHerb really is a great option. I have no idea how they ship SO fast, much less why it’s a guy in a little red car that delivers my orders (!? It’s true tho), but I cannot complain!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Lasership contractor? In my area sometimes my packages come through them in regular vehicles
Hi Alice, great video, I live in Canada and buy from both Stylevana and Yesstyle. I alternate between how fast I need the items, and have never paid custom fees. I get the best deals on stylevana and if they are of stock, I get a refund on my credit card in a few days❤❤
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Alice. Glad to see this content. I know these sites take awhile to ship but the prices are worth it. I do compare prices onAmazon and I herb too. Enjoy your videos and look forward to your posts. Cheers❤
Be careful using Amazon I ended up with a fake beauty of joseon eye cream .😡

The only thing I wish SK had was that they carry I’m From. Love them.
Agreed!
I placed an order on December 28th. It said everything was in stock. It wasn't shipped out for 2 weeks. I emailed them and they said they were waiting for something to come in stock. Long story short, I cancel that item. And it's still took another two weeks before I got the order.
Yup, that’s how it goes. I wish they would create a system that keeps customers in the loop rather than having us reach out
I refuse to order at Stylekorean because I'd have to pay additional 19% tax on the total value of the order AND on top of that a "service fee" to DHL for "handling customs".

I love the dedication you put forth into figuring this out. Brilliant! 🤣
I was a loyal Stylvanna costumer but after seeing the video I took a chance with Yesstyle and positively surprised how quickly they processed the orders and got delivered (approx 3 weeks to the UK). Would love to try testerkorean but can't find any recent reviews.
Do u need to pay custom charges as well?
No I hadn’t. Used YesStyle 3 times now -one order was sent in 2 parts- and all 4 parcels came with no issues or custom charges. All parcels took 2-3 weeks.
I believe there’s a limit of £135 before we start to pay customs and YesStyle additionally has some sort of customs charges - I think if you have to pay any they’ll give you store credit.
@@mariuszkozlowski8242 okay, Thanks a lot for ur reply. I live in Germany, I ordered from Olive Young for 97 euro and I need to pay custom to delivery person .
Same! YesStyle, Cosrx, and I'm From was all I knew in 2017.
Haha yup! Prior to that, I thought K-Beauty was just Tonymoly…oh how far we have come haha!
I’ve noticed it too. I’ve been doing more hauls outside of the NSHALF promo (and using the best coupon code instead)
Hi Alice, can you make a favorites video for your fav makeup for each caegory? :)
But then when I do the maths🧐 it's more like 12% 💁🏽♀️
I used YS and it only too 4 days to TX. I'll order from them again. I will also try SV in the future.
This video was perfect thank you so much 🥰
On the topic of brands being excluded from discount code effectivity - SK II is a gleaming example, which is a bummer 😁 even though Stylevana has horrificly long shipping times, planning and ordering in advance can truly save you a lot of money - still worth it in my view (as I have drawer full of other skincare I need to plow through 😅)
Yuuup, it’s worth it to me! Granted I know to order way before I’m out of the HG products. That really is the trick with Vana!
I like that they all have the word "style". I wonder if they all talked and agreed to use the word style 😂
I think about that a lot lol
Always helpful, love these videos! Thanks so much Alice! 🌹❤️😍
Glad you like them! ☺️
Speaking from Spain, products in stock are deliver in 3-4 weeks in Stylevana and also in Yesstyle. So there is not really any difference between both retailers more than the price (stylevana usually are cheaper and the offer to subscribers are better).
Thanks for the info!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole well that was good customer service!!

I guess it’s not that different from how individual people are more reliable than others lol)
The biggest problem seems to come from reformulations, wherein the brand doesn’t always communicate to the retailer that a change has taken place!
Hi Alice - have you ever thought of reviewing Muji skincare? Might be a bit different for you.
Muji has skincare? I have their acrylic organizers, am I thinking of the same company?
@@AliceintheRabbitHole that’s the one! Their oil cleansers are amazing (and very cheap!).

Hey Alice I was wondering if you could do a brand review on a newer brand called Dr Althea? I really want to try their cica line!
I might! I hauled their vitamin C in my last YesStyle haul video and I gotta say - I like it (albeit it’s more of a gentle vitamin c)
Thank u for this and U!
Thank you for the kind words! That’s so funny to hear you’d like a toner pads comparison. I’ve been thinking about doing that exactly!
Hi! I live in Canada too. I didn't think we'd needed to pay duties on these products... Any idea how much? :(
Hi there, I am a little late to the comments but I am also curious as to how orders to Canada are shipped.
Had a great experience with Stylevana. Ordered on Jan31 and arrived (California) Feb12!
Thank you for sharing! ☺️
I love how none of these ship to my country 😂 (Bosna and Herzegovina) genuinely makes me want to cry.. 🥲🥲
Wow this was so helpful!
Oh!! I can tell you how to check that
Log in from a computer, go to account -> order history. Click on the order itself. It will show the status line by line for each item. If an item ever sits in “waiting for stock” past the estimate they gave (ie 7-14 days, 21-30 days), the bottom of the screen will show an option to cancel that item and ship out the order without it ☺️
@@AliceintheRabbitHole omg thanks so much!
You might be responsible for me going bankrupt....yet, I can't stop watching!!! My holy grail channel 😂❤
Oh no lol! There are always sales at these retailers - you can place orders when you’re ready for more products! ☺️
Surprisingly, stylevana was faster than yesstyle for me. Been using stylevana.
Ugh yeah. I don’t think I can name a single shipping partner that I like (it’s more like “tolerate” lol)
Great tips!
Okay, you have seriously piqued my interest in StyleKorean. I had no idea! Fast shipping, lower free shipping threshold,, and snacks are all big draws (even though I've totally gotten used to the delayed gratification of Stylevana lol). No affiliate option for you though? 😥
Either way, thank you so much for such a thorough pros/cons review of each of these retailers 🙏
Yes!! Yup that $60 threshold makes a difference! Especially since snacks make the absolute *perfect* free shipping filler
And even those are discounted vs amazon!!
Thank you so much for this info! (It’s super helpful as I know nothing about customs; so nice to hear YesStyle does this!!)
I had a Stylevana box take five months to arrive in Aus, then it was damaged in transit. I had evidence of this from the courier. (With insurance number). Took MONTHS to get a refund. This is after many years as a SV customer.
That’s so disappointing to hear. If you ever decide to order again…PayPal!!
Fellow Aussie here. I've been finding Nudie Glow often cheaper than SV. It's based here, ex comms and always here within a week. Smaller range but great items.
@@JuneGaffney same with Beautyamora. Tough when you want something specific though.
I ordered from stylevana in August it’s October and nothing .
Thanks for breaking it down. Have a great weekend ❌️ ⭕️
Hope you have a great weekend too 🥰
Yassss this was so helpful! I wondered if I was missing out just using yesstyle but we are gucci lol
Packing is a puzzle! ❌️⭕️
It really is 🤣
In the summer they shipprd in 10 days and i was so shocked
Is it just me Alice or have the NSHALFs been a little disappointing lately 🤔
It is not just you. I remember when it used to be 24 pages; now it’s 9??
Yes exactly.. I feel the products are expensive and not really popular products/brands...
They seem like a great option, but …they’re a smidge more expensive
And I like saving money 🙈🤣
What are your top holy Grail products aside from adapelene and your panoxyl from k or j skincare. Or niche like stratia
I see so many that are all Sephora and maybe you've done this but I'm thinking optimization of each routine. Add centela and ginseng for Vit c. Etc or retinol with peptides
In other words we got the basics. How to step it up a few notches with some nachos please 😅
It’s ingredients moreso than products tbh.
I have to have: adapalene, bpo, and a good sunscreen (the filters I discussed in my favs video)
I like to have: peptides, ginseng, bifida, azelaic acid
How those manifest is flexible!
Great video ❤😃
I’m still waiting for my order placed 2/20/23 and today is 2/13/24.
1/20? I would say that’s normal for me. You should get the “packed” email soon. If not, reach out to them (they respond fastest on IG via DM). HTH!
I live in New Zealand and I love stylekorean. Only downside is the free shipping threshold
I love a good points system ❌️⭕️
Tried placing style Korean order.
Who there best for product advice ?
i can’t find the chocolate on stylekorean :(
Tysm for this video!! I’m a teen with a bit of trouble when it comes to skin lol. I’ve just ordered from StyleKorean like a day ago and found the site thanks to you :D
Quick question;; I may have accidentally marked my order as delivered even though I haven’t gotten it yet
Do you think that the package will still arrive? Also it’s totally fine if ur not sure! Tysm again
Style Korean is really fast!
SIGH.....
Yeah, stylekorean seems like a less helpful option for folks in Canada, sadly
I agree with the wonky codes, but at this point I’ve mostly moved over to using the codes they post to IG for free full size products. Sometimes those are worth a LOT more than a discount. For example I was planning on buying another isntree onion gel and it popped up with another full size for free! Plus 17% off or so, but same story with the unusual math lol
I've been wanting to try aplb toners. Have you tried them? I'd love to see a review of the skincare
Yes!! I’m so impressed with them tbh. The EGF + collagen toner is in the YesStyle haul I linked on this video (in the description box ☺️)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole thank you, I'll take a look!
