Layne was my idol, my kid is named after him. I opened a cpl shows for them in the 90s. I wont condemn this, like I said, it’s definitely interesting. I can dig it (Layne may not approve, but we can’t dwell on “maybes…”. )As long as no one tries to pass the AI off as the real thing I’m good…
Every frontman has their own way of leading the band. You have to give him credit for atleast keeping the band tight after Layne died. Jerry wanted the band to keep going in honor of Layne. Of course we would have Jerry have his solo albums and play some AiC songs on stage if, but if Jerry didn’t continue the band, it wouldn’t be the same. Always keep going, and never stop or quit. Quitting is for losers.
To me it's disgusting to us AI, specially when it can't capture the real raw emotions of a human like Layne. This version lacks that certain quality Layne had, seems empty.
Nothing can replace Layne’s voice. I create what if scenarios….like if he hadn’t died, what would he sound like singing other songs? Original will always stay original and nothing can replace it.
I think its kind of eerie..maybe even cool. What a trippy time we live in.
