Terimakasih Malaysia, you have been a dream! 🇲🇾 We were only supposed to stay in this country for a couple of weeks around new years, but we ended making it our home for 2 whole months. We were blown away from the sights, the food and of course all of the people we met along the way. I hope you enjoy the last episode of the series, but I’m sure we will be back one day. Next stop, Philippines 🇵🇭

migrated to malaysia in 1982 and settled down in ipoh. the best city in the world. the hot spring used to be hotter and it was considered a remote place without any development. even the stone age drawing is fast vanishing. ipoh used to be dead iespecially after 6.00 pm 80's and 90's . there was no shopping malls or theme parks.

Concubine Lane is now a revitalized tourist spot. None of the businesses or shops there now existed ten years ago. But there was only one shop there that locals actually patronized because of it's delicious home cooked food. It's still there, but rarely featured in tourist vlogs.

April likes the rainbow colored buildings! Kellie's Castle looks so awesome--we like the fact that it was never completed. Do you know how the white coffee tradition came to be? I've had an egg tart in Europe before, but I can't recall if I liked it. I don't think my "baby feet" could handle the reflexology path, hahaha. LOL at your expression over the knife massage! How is that even safe??! At first glace, it does seem to be an eclectic/cheesy place, but we can see how the hot springs park was fun!

Concubine Lane was named after the bevy of mistresses the rich Hakka tin miners used to keep in the shops that lined the street. In the evenings, they could be seen standing at the balconies , calling out to the merchants down below haggling over the prices of their wares. If you get to Ipoh, the one place you mus visit is the Han Chin Pet Soo Museum, curated by Rtd. Cmdr Ian Anderson, who has been living here for decades. Its a museum recognised by the UNESCO and you'll be able to get the full history of Ipoh here. Unfortunately, right now, we're under lockdown due to covid 1
