  • Is the Honda Grom the best motorcycle on the planet? I think so. In today's video, I turn my Grom race bike into the perfect around town machine and test out the top speed for the first time ever! Obviously I've pushed the bike, but on the race track I'm not looking at the speedometer, and have no idea what speed I'm going, so this was really cool to do! Not to mention, I hit 70mph on a mostly stock non-tuned Grom.
    As always, I appreciate you stopping by!! Let me know what you think in the comment section down below!!!

    Liked the vid. Just started trying out the UA-cam thing myself. Subbed!

      Thanks man!!! I appreciate the sub. I really enjoy the filming and editing aspect of youtube. Unfortunately the time in to make the videos, especially when adding in camera transitions... edits... fonts... intros... outros... is high. So high input with limited reward, BUT i guess that's where the dedication comes to play.
      I subbed to you too. I feel like the grom community goes 1 of 2 ways. Folks like you and I that are willing to support one another... and those that are just SUPER toxic.
      Thanks again for stopping by!!

    70 on the Grom!? Well i guess it’s cause you had like 500 miles of space, but honestly I really thought it was impossible 🤣 And do you prefer the GP or Standard shift?? and
    Nice video as always, followed you on Instagram

      Dude it was a long road to get to 70!!!
      I'm still not sure on GP vs Standard. I'm going to have to pick one or the other though, cause I'll end up messing one of the bikes up if I have to go back and forth. I can see the benefits of GP shift on the big bike. I'm gonna try it at Houston and see...
      I saw your suit!!! It looks AWESOME! After my crash on the mini, I might be getting an order in soon too. We'll see!

      Tony Generali Yeah, the back and forth of that can be dangerous sometimes. You should try the GP shift on the 300, it could benefit a lot. And thank you! Crazy to see it go from paper and eventually come to life. And, it would be awesome to see you get leathers to match your bike

      Solid 55. Maybe 57 with a tuck 🤣
      Did you see those 10 year olds riding up that hill on Prosper trail? That damn hill broke us. Now we don't ride bikes anymore.

    How can I try racing bikes at the age of 14? I have only road a 125cc scooter in thailand and I do karting.

    • @TonyGenerali
      @TonyGenerali  4 роки тому +2

      Hey Tristan! I'm not 100% sure on where you can go race bikes, simply cause I don't know the organizations where you live. If you live in Thailand, I do know that Thailand has an AMAZING motorcycle community and is one of the biggest supporters of MotoGP and has a big presence in the redbull rookies cup that often turns out riders into moto3 and beyond. I bet someone at the kart track would be able to get you in touch with someone who knows about racing bikes where you're at!!!
      I dont think age matters too much. Most of the greats started when they were 3 or 4!!!! Just start on a small bike and move your way up!!

      @@TonyGenerali I actually live in northen Europe and I have a summer job at a racetrack. But I was wondering should I try renting a bike, have test day or something else. I just don't know how to get involved with it.

    • @TonyGenerali
      @TonyGenerali  4 роки тому +1

      @@tristanruusmaa4571 that is one heck of a summer job! That's awesome! I'm betting there is a place that rents minigp bikes. Ohvale minis are a really big brand throughout Europe. I bet there's a track somewhere that has them (or something like it) to rent and try out.
      It's a big investment, from bike to gear... tires... etc. So if you can find a place that rents bikes at a track before going all in, that would be ideal.
      At 14... an ohvale... grom... or any other mini bike would be the best starting place in my opinion. You can graduate to a bigger bike as you build skill and confidence.

    What is done to the grom? Performance wise.

    • @TonyGenerali

      Nothing that really helps it. It has a 2 Brothers exhaust... intake mod with stock filter... and a kitaco clutch cover. Nothing else. I really need to get the ecu flashed... i feel like that would help clean up throttle and get me there a tad bit faster.

    Stock rev limiter is equal to like 73 mph

    • @TonyGenerali
      @TonyGenerali  4 роки тому +1

      I've seen a handful of videos with stock hitting 73. Not sure... my exhaust and intake mod could honestly be hurting me without an ecu flash. I had more road, but the bike had nothing left. My buddy Craig from the Motobros channel has a vid of him hitting 73, but he was on the highway... downhill... with a draft 😆
      I'm just glad it went 70. I see people posting all the time saying their grom won't go over 60.
