Good video there buddy, the RTV on the seal before you put it back together is magic. I use the Mopar orange and get it all around that outside edge to seal it up nicely.
Jeeps and Harley Davidson. Nothing cheap about owning them if you pay someone else to do the work. A buddy of mine and I replaced the engine in his 2013. Never did anything like it before. Took us 3 weekends. Started on the first try.
@@MyLilMule hell dude, that music is pretty groovy, actually. Thanks for posting the video. I have a 2014, what year is yours, and since ya posted a month ago, is the seal still holding? Seriously doing more and more repairs on my JK (it's my daily driver) because it's really hard to find competent and reasonable people where I live, not to mention the cost of repairs in general, so seriously - thanks for posting this.
@@markhicks3049 It's been 2 years since I put this seal in and haven't had a drop on the garage floor. I don't put many miles on it anymore, it's a garage queen for sure. But I drive it as much as I can in the summer if the forecast is clear as I don't keep a top or doors on it at all. No plan B!

Nice work! I appreciate your editing style: focused on the job and not how cool you are! I'm sure you are very cool though. Thanks
There is nothing cool about me. LOL! I try to focus on the "what am I doing" than the "look at me!". Thanks for watching!
I remember those days
Co-worker just got quoted $800 to replace this seal...........I knew it wasn't rocket science.

Any issues in the past 11 months?
Nope. Seems to be doing its job. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What did you get your replacement seal
Amazon, IIRC.
Why not just talk us through it instead of making us listen to that annoying music and read?
This was before I was setup for any kind of audio. It was over a year ago. Thanks for watching.
