I guarantee this kid already inspired a lot of kids to start playing in Asia. He’s unintentionally doing missionary work
I agree. I’d really love for hockey to become more popular in the Far East
BradenHoltbeast I like missionary 🤐
That's the beauty behind these videos. Forget all the background noise of people telling him what his potential is. He's a kid from a part of the world where hockey isn't big, who loves hockey and took every opportunity he had to be better at it. To me that speaks volumes to the kids in areas where hockey is easily accessible and where kids have access to instructors and rink times. Do the best with what you have. That's the real story here. Not whether or not he'll make the NHL.
@@christopherdraper5815 fuckin nasty
@@cartersavin8587 much appreciated 🙏
Main thing I like about him is that he never stops moving his feet. No matter how many times he gets poked or knocked off the puck he goes back and fights for it. I need to start doing it more to improve my game.
Well said
People get so caught up in his hands. Meanwhile, his skating/footwork might be his most impressive attribute. Totally agreed.
good eye man
Foot movement/passing>everything else. I played almost ten years and had an okay shot, and okay stick handling skills, but the main reasons i excelled in any form were because i was always low and moving, and because i passed as much as i could. Dont worry too much about dekeing out 10 guys and then sniping bardown. It looks pretty but youre gonna lose more chances than you earn. Some of the best players just hustle hard and keep the puck moving all the time. Do that and do it smart and youll get noticed.
That's because there's no body contact lol
This is exactly what it looks like when I play nhl 19 on rookie mode
He's in USHL, and he's torn up tournaments in Canada dumbass
Dune Arksmith he meant that Aito was murking them bud
Its Tylxr1 THATS A FACT
Matthew Paikoff 🤣
Dune Arksmith stfu
I heard from my uncle's neighbor's friend's barber's dog-sitter's brother that this dude once even passed the puck to a teammate.
GOAT
actually he is passing A LOT to his teammates.
1:18
He needs to work on his shot though
He’s 15 now? It seems like yesterday that I watched hm as a little kid
i was thinking the same thing
Same it felt like he was just an 11 year old
Same. I’m 13. I always thought he was my age.
Broden 31 leafs are better
Same
wow its so awesome to see his progression and development. His ability to change speeds and his shifty-ness is very McDavid-esque
I have played a hockey team from China they were very fast but they couldn’t take a hit
He will probably be drafted 1st overall by oilers and play with mcdavid haha
He looks fast but I see this guy being a later round draft pick due to the size of his body and his competition isnt that great. Hockey IQ is there but again look at where gaudreau got drafted.
Brendan Durocher he’s 15
@@supaazn I know
This kid is seriously insane. He has to continue to play and improve. He has some real potential to play at a high level.
Kid is wasting his time in Japan. He needs to go to Canada if he wants to get even better
flyinhigh50 still gets drafted to ushl lmao
itz Mike He will be taken down by the americans/canadians. He is pretty good, but „slow“ and when he plays like that, he will be knocked out
He plays in Canada, I work at a local rink and watched him tear up a prospects tournament we hosted
Yeah, they will crack him in the first and his last game in minor leagues.
@@Shiggity1231321 Is he still alive, no head fractures?
When you play nhl 19 on rookie mode
lmao
With all of your sliders at 100 and CPU's at 0 xD
Lol
Barbs, I really think he should consider the QMJHL to begin his junior career. The opposition there is not as large and gritty as the west. That would be an excellent 1-2 years for him to work on his game against good talent. For right now he should really be playing AAA in Ontario somewhere to get him prepared for a faster environment. Keep up the awesome work with this kid
Scirollo, don’t just say the QMJHL, the CHL in general is a great place to start his hopefully long pro career.
Scirollo he would not make it tho
denys nov lmao your an idiot any junior team would take this kid.
7 damage BTW hahaha good joke, junior b teams would not take him, he’d get his career ended in a couple games
Or Chicago mission
Kinda feels like watching a younger Johnny Gaudreau in the way he stickhandles in tight situations
Matt M I was gonna say he’s playing against people his size in the nhl he’s not gonna be any better than Jonny gaudreau
Great comparable player! A scout that actually found Gaudreau made some interesting statements about Aito Iguchi's chances of making the NHL. If you are interested I have actually done an updated video discussing Aito Iguchi on my channel and I mention the scouts comments!
@@michaelkelemen5942 buddy, you can relax, this kid is better than you'll ever be, doesnt matter who is better than him, he was just making a simple comparison of skill products
@@jaminwhitmore37 lol triggered lil bitch...
Man, I gotta move to Japan. I'll be amazing because no one there knows how to play defense
I guarantee you would get shut down every time. They know how to play. Aitos just to good there
Lucanator no they don't, they suck
jack No there actually pretty fast and have a decent iq Aito is just better in Japan for his age
@@lucasw4934 lol how do you know? And Aito isn't as good as many people make it seem, he was drafted in the 7th round to ushl.
Darth Herobrine - you and my son to :) LooL we will look like super stars ✨. Plz let me know when you are planning to make your big move .
I'm not gonna sit here and act like I know what kind of competition hockey in Japan is but all great players find ways to excel at every age group. Hopefully he comes to America or Canada and continues to excel. Hating on this kid is mind boggling, if you call yourself an NHL fan or just a hockey fan, you should want to see all the talent that Japan & China can produce. It's all about growing the game to new countries. NBA, NFL, & MLB have all done it so why can't the NHL follow along. I've enjoyed watching Pav produce these yearly highlights and I hope he comes to North America and brings along a wave of Japanese and Chinese players for the future.
leftnutdangler 83 from what I know he is coming to play in Colorado for the Rampage next year. I might just be a14 year old rambling but I skated with him early this season
Alexander Etzell Colorado has a few good programs and there’s the altitude (cardio). Don’t get me wrong, surprised with the decision of playing there but can understand the reasons. Cheers 😊
7 damage BTW He's under 5'5 His not going anywere , put him in bantam AAA d1 on Québec or Ontario and He's vert average
I want to see hockey reach more countries. Its a great thing to share the love of our sport. Albeit conveying that Aito is struggling to make the draft cut and wanting to grow the game are mutually exclusive. One is descriptive and the other is prescriptive. I'm just being realistic, but his chances of being drafted are relatively slim. I do, however, hope he can make it happen.
Brooke - great comment 👍 Totally agree.
Lot of ex pro's and top tier scouts in this comment section.
Tutorial King where
Matthew Capretta I’m guessing you missed the joke
Such as yourself? What NHL team employs you?
Ojibwa62 x agree. No actual hitting. This kid would be levelled to ice couple times, respect defense. Looks like kid is playing recreation league.
Because we are.
I guarantee this kid will be captain of Japan’s national team
Very talented hockey player.
But I feel North American hockey players love to hit way more then these guys. If He came over here he would push his skills forward alot more.
he did and dominated
@@sir_Yosemite no he didn’t
@@alexstrachan9515 yes he did
Agreed
I love hockey so much that it feels good when I see someone from across the globe appreciating the game as much as me and the people of North America. Having this kind of exposure can only be good for the game of hockey. I can’t wait to see more Asian players make the show because there’s an entire continent who have little to no hockey exposure, and once we expand into those foreign markets, the game will only excel and get that much better. This kid is a great story, can’t wait to see how his career pans out.
Matthew Joynt same
This kid is gonna seriously be something
I hope he does, but if he does not play in a competitive league, then it will be incredibly tough to even be drafted.
Or nothing
In Japan, ok.
Kids got me fired up to play hockey again!!! Dammm
These videos are really helping me with skills like always moving my feet, puck protection, dangles and much more this kid is amazing he needs to keep up the great work.
He has skill but needs better competition to nurture his talent
Yup. Just like the conditions described in the book Outliers, he’s getting screwed bc he grew up in japan didn’t get access to top tier coaches at the younger ages where distinguishing yourself allows for better coaches, more ice time, and better facilities.
I hope he can make it one day but the deck was stacked against him from the start
As a guy who played minor hockey, coached minor hockey and am now involved with the ownership group of a Jr. B. team(PJHL), I would suggest he needs to play against tougher competition. He is a much better skater than the rest of the kids in that video, a lot of the time he was roasting them by hitting the holes and turning on the afterburners.
I've watched this video like a million times before I play a hockey game cause it inspires me to play better and when I watch it before I play a ton better and get a hatrick every game.. ❤️ Aito is goated!!
He’s got the speed and skating stride of a young Ilya Kovalchuk and the skill/finesse/dangles of a prime Alex Semin. Love watching this little maestro fly. Great work Pavel, thanks!
These defenseman need to learn to look at the body not the puck
Benjamin Callahan keep in mind the he is going at least 2X their speed at all times so that won’t really help rhem
Nesrof I’m a defenseman and it doesn’t really matter the speed if you’re in front of him. As long as you look at his chest and keep him to the outside you’ll do better. Not saying this kid wouldn’t destroy me but the defense would’ve done a bit better if they didn’t puck watch. The kid is great so you got to match it with stick on stick and body on body.
Even if they look at his chest he does a lot of deceptive movements with his body not just his stick
Logan Calder while yes I understand that, if you watch body, keep stick on stick, and attempt to keep him to the outside you will have a much better time defending against him.
He usually just does a toe drag and goes to the right so shouldn’t be that hard
What a mesmerizing talent, Every NHL team is dreaming about him
erudzitis84 %1000 they have no idea who he is
Good to see such a talented kid using his skill to help improve others as well.
Nice video man love all your stuff keep up the amazing work
the future of hockey is in good hands
Z A C H agreed
Z A C H no pun intended
He has to move out of Japan to Finland or sweden or usa or canada some good hockey land cause when hes older and older he has to play but japan does not have good gockey leagues
He's good but i'lld probably never play pro, at 15 he's 5'1 110 pounds
Indeed
For all of you saying since he’s playing in Japan and there’s no competition there so it is easy for him to do these moves. He was scoring the most in 2 Canadian elite tournaments
If he did the talent level must be dropping like a rock in the last few years.
Amazing, just amazing I hope he goes places
so glad to see he is doing great!
The music makes me feel like Im playing Blades of Steel on Nintendo
Hit Hit Hit the pass !
Nice one !!! He really improved
Nice to see an update on this kid. Haven’t seen him in a while
最近見てませんでしたが順調に成長してるようで何より 八村選手に続いて今度はNHLの日本人初のドラフト、それも上位指名されてほしいですね!
It's been a few years since I saw him many times but Im relieved he's got grown up. I hope he became NHL player as the draft chosen first man of Japanese!
Watching other kids trying to stop him is so funny
because they are trying to get the puck all the time... im ok with 1 or 2 tries the third try should be "lay him down", fair. if you are bigger and dont have much skill as your opponent, check him.
Please share the video of the first time a defender on the other team isnt impressed with his stick handling sees his head go down and absolutely lights im up.
Absolutely Beautiful edge control
His edge work is off the charts.
Aito should come to Ontario to play u15s instead of Japanese hockey league
He's under 5'5 His not going anywere , put him in bantam AAA d1 on Québec or Ontario and He's vert average
You two need to create your own group of "never got anywhere in hockey" and Robert Kraft each other.
Max Joannis ツ First of all, the kid is 15. Also, ever heard of Nathan Gerbe? You want to tell me this kid doesn’t have more talent? It’s doable
That is the problem with any sport nowadays. You need to grow fast be strong as shit and super skilled by 15 to even get looked at. Shit the U drafted an 8th grader this year.
15 years old means body check in Canada... he wouldn't last very long look at 0:30 that's 2 months off the ice right there
Hew reminds me of a Mitch Marner with a greater scoring touch in his age range. Incredible shiftyness with great vision. I really hope this kids comes to NA to play.
He's to small 15 y/o 5'1 110 pounds
MaxhockGaming Mitch mariner was 160 in his first year this kids still young he’ll grow he’s fine
He's under 5'5 His not going anywere , put him in bantam AAA d1 on Québec or Ontario and He's vert average
@@maxime5217 I know people who were 5'1" at 15 and 6' at 18. lol

he's so quick and shifty! hands are ridiculous. nice to see his vision developing as well. fun to watch!
It's great to see that he is getting better
nasty hands and nasty edge work. great potential. i know hes small but hes got a chance
japan’s competition is like playing against their team in chel
No one loves you
Thanks for the video, I really want this kid to succeed and play in the NHL : )
All the perfectly timed rhythm changes. Powerful skating. Nice soft hands.
Imagine what it would be like to actually pass the puck.
Somewhere a dude like Scott Stevens is licking his chops with anticipation for the day this kid shows up on the ice in north America
he did and performed very well
His progress over the years are insane
Absolutely amazing skills
He's 15 already I watched him when he was like 10
3:37 poor kid sliding into the net lmao
he isnt having children LOL
Awesome player work on always keeping your head up
Very cool to see coming out of Japan
0:30 career ender... he is gonna hit a wall whenever they introduce body check in Japan
No check in Japan??
If I did that in a game I would get destroyed by the defense
His skating at 5:23 to 5:26 is INCREDIBLE.
kelly gaede incredible burst of quickness, very deceiving to the defending players to try and readjust
It was just a quick burst of energy whilst crossovers

No one is checking. He's going to get starched playing like that in the US.
Meanwhile he played in the world juniors and is playing in the ushl now
@Oliver Heck got drafted like 140th into the ushl... Can't find stats or anything.. he's not on the teams current roster.. kid only got a point per game in the juniors not even playing against great teams... Still overrated as fuck

Pretty phenomenal kid with amazing talent
He's amazing!
If that was in Canada he would have got Paul kariyad like 10 times in this highlight reel alone
Dernick Rawmeat STFU he can’t change his size you douchebag
Zynx FN he's not wrong though
@@jack-kc5tc nah, this kid is coming up at the perfect time, where size matters less and less everyday in the NHL, and more pure skill is needed. if he focuses on speed and edgework, he will do just fine.
F A S H I N T O X I N maybe in the NHL it doesn't matter as much, but to get there you have to play juniors. there's massive people in juniors that aito wouldn't be able to just skate around, they would hit him until he learns how to avoid it

Looks like the video is sped up whenever he touches the puck. so fast

@@Mazzini11 *The game has changed a lot over the years and yes, smaller guys are starting to become more common than a decade ago. Still, all those guys you named that are at least 5'9". Let's be honest, it's competitive at draft selection and a kid from Japan is going to be considered a high risk for any GM to consider, let alone a small one. If he was a 6'4" kid from Japan, then at least you can say, hey, he still got a lot of size if he doesn't pan out... GM's don't like risk.*
I have saw at least nine different times where he would get steamrolled in junior hockey.
He's really good, hope he makes it big
Very good skating, his edge work is giving him so many angles to move.

Shutup all you haters.. this kid is the real deal.. he played and trained in Canada and kicked ass! Would love to see him back in Vancouver again!
No hate or anything but on some clips it looks like the other team gives up or doesn't try
It's odd that someone has to state, "no hate or anything," to not be bitched out for stating the obvious. Some people on this channel have such a mob lynch mentality.
@@brooke-3615 mob lynch? I commented saying the other team looks like their not trying
InzSat I'm completely cognizant. I was referencing the first clause of your statement.
Talent oozing in this little guy... less dangles and more team game needed though. Skills are great, but does he want to end up making UA-cam videos or make the show? I like how a few dirty passes were shown, but also a lot of players wide open watching him reverse toe drag his way into trouble.
@@ThePolkeroo couldn't agree more
this kid got really good hands and incredible foot work. his shoot is Ok but nothing special what i m missing is a good eye for passing but maybe i am wrong because we didnt see everything of the game
It's a highlights video so pavel doesn't feature the passes, i think.
If you actually watched the video he has great passing vision but it’s hard to pass when you have no one with you and his isn’t externally fast or hard but it’s accurate so doesn’t matter
This kid can make it to the pros no problem. Good luck to him! Wishing all the best.
Wow! I hope we see him in the NHL one day soon...what a talent!
God bless him and hope he proves me wrong. But . This is Japan.
Don’t break out the word “prodigy” until he’s faced actual competition
Friggin rights, put him on the ice playing against some guys that are 18,19 at a jr A, B or even C level and see if he dangles... I'd give him 2 week and he'd be running home with his tail between his legs 😉

Charlie Fleming if you actually watched the video buddy had his head up most of the time. Stop hating dude
Not realllllllly. May look like it but it's pretty shitty hockey he's playing. He is good not taking it away from him it's just wait till he is playing against people that are the same hockey skill level or better.
He has some sick dangles but not sure how he would perform against high level AAA+ competition. I’d assume he’d be likely just an average player and likely not able to do all of those moves. I wish him the best though.
@@dws5951 He wont be able to dangle people like this, when they actually defend the body not, just go for the puck

He could never go wrong in a place like Boston, Minnesota, Michigan but Pennsylvania has recently over the last 5 years been a great market for some young players to shine. More tournament showcases throughout the years are hosted in PA. Tell him and his family to check out the Chester County area. Great schools, great Junior hockey, even high school hockey is growing. Amazing to see a kid of this age with this kind of skills out of Japan. Pretty sure their hockey facilities and programs are still at a very early stage but a kid like him can be used as motivation for others kids in the country and maybe eventually in 10 years a new wave of kids will emerge from there. I wonder if their coaches are from Japan or "true" hockey countries.
