Thanks for taking me back, absolutely love this place! We made the trip in June with snow patches in the trail at top and dusty at the bottom. I bet you were loving the Decoy on those few climbs!
Take me back Tony D! Great video. So cool to see what the view looked like at the front of the pack with you, Jed and Andi🔥🔥🔥 Thank you for putting together a trip I’ll never forget..the riding, scenery and crew were exceptional. Every rider should treat themselves to time in Downieville! Butcher Ranch and Third Divide trails were ridiculously fun. I’m smiling just thinking about them.
At 9:22 if you look to the right there is a 100 foot drop used to have ropes and a plastic fence to try and save yourself . The fence is partially there and heard a few have fallen but lived.
Did this first time alone yesterday with my pup to keep my speed in check somewhat. Great trail. Was a little hot for the pup starting on 3rd divide and yes I did toe smack some chunk on it. Believe it was the high line at 11:40
Great video and looks like fun, great job getting all those people together for a ride. The waterfall sucks and I think I’m about 1 for 10 on that obstacle. We always call the other one the gorge and it’s rally all about speed
The first time I rode downieville mid way down I snapped a rear brake lever so I rode the rest of downieville including their divide with a front brake, scary
Downiville was my first mountain bike ride ever back in 2004. The trail was much more narrow and less developed back then. Last year I decided to being my High School friend here who had always had expensive mountain bikes and dirt bike motorcycles as long as I could remember, so I thought he was a mountain biker. I was wrong. I noticed it took it WAY TOO long to complete the first quarter mile, so I told him we are not going to make it to the shuttle up if we continue, so we would have to either not do this and go back to the truck, or split costs on a hotel room if we do this. It took us 9 hours to get down the mountain. I never expected it to take anyone, especially someone who grew up on dirt bikes this long to get down the mountain. I thought he was convinced to get into shape after this, but he still weighs 100 lbs too much today.
Hi Tony firt now in summer it's hard the heat I know how feel it's fun looking you guys it's a motivation am 63 and I do want is in my reach felicidades buenos videos
@@TheOutsiderMTB Roger that. I looked at the map, been a minute since I’ve ridden my dirt bike there. We rode all 3, uphill. I suppose I’ll have to try both, in different runs down. Thanks!
Thank for putting the ride together! We had so much fun on that trip! Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks to you guys for being a part of it!

Sketchy!
Love Downieville! Such an awesome trail.
It really is!
Awesome footage and edit. That place scream's MTB fun !! Hoping life timing works better for me next time !
Yes!
Wow, what a ripper of a ride!!! Such a bucket list destination and looks like you all had a blast 🤙🏼🤘🏼🔥
Definitely!!
The waterfall is tough when it’s wet. The rocks get incredibly slippery. No matter how good I get sometimes that section still puts up a good fight.
Same!
Outstanding! What a gorgeous ride! 🤙
Thanks! 👍
Marin county was fun back in the fifties and sixties . no restrictions and not as many hikers as today.
There are many great laces to ride in marin, still. You just have to know where they are. Marin still kills it
Thanks Tony for read my comment good videos muchas and made more..
No problem 👍
We call the third divide "star wars" because it's warp speed tunnel vision goodness.

What about The Cannell Plunge allegedly #1 in USA 90% downhill with 8,000 feet descent 25 miles. I am thinking of going for it.
I’ll check it out!

Not yet!
Where was the Second Divide? 🤷🏼♂️
You can either take 2nd or 3rd divide. Not both.

Motorbike, boo
It happens to the best of us.
They help keep the trails open with lots of work. You should thank not boo them.
