    I’ll still like you. You got me fired up to challenge myself. I have a buddy that likes doing crazy stuff like that so he is going with me.
    Also, love the Mt. Huff and Spooner to Kinsberry Stinger videos. Both those are bucket list rides for me in 2024.
    Thanks again for the motivation.

      Go stay at Everstoke and ride Hough & Mills Peak. They are both really close. Downieville too. But it would be easy to do Hough and Mills with staying one night.

    I watch a lot of your videos, and I always come back to this one. It’s one of my favorites, probably because that is where I do most my mountain biking. Just the way you narrated it and added the music when appropriate. So well done. Although, you have inspired me to tackle riding the entire Downiville from downtown based on your Downiville video. Another one of my favorite videos because you set yourself a challenge and conquered it Going to conquer that one in 2024.

    OMG Robert!!!! BEST Video yet! A+ production. You have one of the best voice over and script I've ever heard. And I don't mean production wise, I mean your voice(Pixar would love your voice). Do not stop this style of format and you come across as a regular Joe biker that draws one in to this video. Truckee should be sponsoring you to promote MTBing and the different trailage. Your game here on YT just took a giant leap. WELL DONE!

    • @AllTerrainFamily
      @AllTerrainFamily 4 роки тому

      @@B1KER Sawtooth not very fun!?!?!? Does not compute. We usually ride Big Chief as a loop. Sawtooth, to the dirt road up to big chief and then down to complete the sawtooth loop. Then burgers at Blue Coyote, like you did.

      @@AllTerrainFamily Both times I rode it we shuttled to the top of Big Chief. Once we finished Big Chief the last part of Sawtooth just felt super boring. I did Sawtooth a long time ago on it's own and it was ok, but probably was more fun since it wasn't stacked up against how fun BC is.

    Very cool! Hoping to get up to the Tahoe area again in 2020.
    Does this trail need a shuttle or is there a way to make a loop?

      You can do it as a loop or a shuttle. I’ve never done the climb but I know lots of people do.

      Basically where we parked you can just climb up road 6. It’s right at the trailhead for Sawtooth. It’s also on Trailforks.

    Hey. What garmin do you have is it the 130? and if so does it have navigation features for the trail?

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  2 місяці тому +1

      I used to use the 130 a lot but now use the 530 because I wanted integration with a power meter. Unfortunately, I’ve never used any of my Garmins for navigation.

    I've a question Mr B1KER, if you don't mind? I'm a relatively large person [6 feet 2, 50" chest and 220 lbs]. For the last few years I've been riding [650b with + rims/tyres] hard tails exclusively, the last full squish I owned was a 2014 Specialized Enduro, back when 26" was still pretty typical. But now I'm hankering after a new bike that isn't a hard tail again.
    In your experience do specific types of suspension design [shock placement and linkages] work better than others for us larger gentlemen? I will be able to demo certain brands and models, but I'm trying to narrow it down a bit. Any kind of steer you can give me will be appreciated, I'm also a Robert/Bob as well!

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  4 роки тому

      I’m not super sure if one is better suited for big guys. I’m sure the marketing teams would all say theirs is best. My best advice is to try and demo some bikes. If possible go to something like Sedona MTB Fest and demo a bunch of bikes. You’ll learn quickly what you like. Personally, I really like Santa Cruz bikes. However I’ve rides a bunch of other brands that have been fun. I’ve also been in love with a bike online, but when I rode it was disappointed. At 6’2” 220 you aren’t so big that you’ll be pushing the boundaries of the suspension so I think you’ll be fine. If all else fails pick the one with the coolest paint job. 😂

      @@B1KER Thanks. I'm in the UK but there's plenty of Santa Cruz stockists in my area. A work colleague owns a Bronson but he has the physical build of a teenage gymnast and it's only a medium, so there's zero point trying to gauge it from that. It did feel plush from the brief spin around the car park I had when he'd just bought it. Thought I'd better quickly give him it back when I noticed that he was wincing when I was bunny hopping it on and off the kerb.

      grizcuz Hahahaha! I hear ya there. I really like my Bronson. The new v3 Bronson is super plush. It’s a great all around bike. In my opinion you can’t go wrong with a Bronson if you ride chunky enduro style stuff regularly.

      @@B1KER ua-cam.com/video/xC5zwXRe6Lc/v-deo.html I live around this area, although I'm by no means thrashing the trails at the speeds in this clip. Most of the time I'm trying to ensure that the rubber remains on the ground and I'm not taking out people who are walking their dogs. I've developed a whole new style: Apologetic Geriatric Enduro.
