When they say something happened behind the scenes they was privy too and when they and they host talk fast over it finishing each other sentences as if saving each other and themselves that’s code for it was a bigger diddy behind the scenes that wanted something. They kicked kale out and wanted to show them your show is so small to them it can go. These shows and music groups could be set up just to get one person. He got them panda girl eyes. One day they’ll share the whole truth.
They pulled the plug because it was never a good or had top ratings. It may have been the highest with black viewers but with the overall audience it wasnt popular. Its that simple.
Actually Hollywood refused to invest money, production, promotion , advertising into the living single show because it was majority black cast. Hollywood then decided to create a white show off of living singles premise and put 10 times as much money into the white show Friends which is why I refused to watch
@kimb5032 that literally makes no sense. Living single was a fox network show friends was a NBC network. So your claiming fox whos goal is to make as much money as poosible would team up with its competitor so friends can be more successful? See how that doesn't add up? Not only that but living single came out one year before friends. Maybe fox didnt promote it good enough or didnt have as much faith in it as nbc did in friends. But if there was anything to suggest the show could have grabbed larger audience then fox would have pushed it regardless of the race. Hollywood has no problem exploiting anyone or any race if its profitable. I would argue the biggest problem was its declining numbers probably due to friends coming out a year later. Ive only seen clips and maybe a hand full of episodes for friends, and maybe 5-10 episodes of living single.

Roc, the Sinbad show, between brothers, Damon, Bernie mac show, wanda at large, method and red, brothers, Cedric the entertainer presents, Townsend television, in living color. Just to name a few with a majority of black cast. I really don't think it get pulled was over the race of the cast especially when both Queen Latifah and Kim Coles had development deals with fox. Why sign a contract and pay them but you don't want the shoe to succeed? Maybe I'm wrong but seeing all the black shows and people the gave control to make their own shows like damon wayons, Robert Townsend, wanda Sykes and bernie mac. Kinda looks more like support or like I originally said they will exploit any race if it makes money. But it has to make money. The most racist people will put their prejudice aside for money. Just saying.
