I don't remember her name, BUT that white girl was funny too. AND let's not forget David Alan Grier and Keenan's brother together that's was funny as well.
In Living Color walked so Chapelle could run. Keenan was the perfect engineer for that show. It takes a very special person to gather mega talents and know which ones would work well together and which ones wouldnt. Pushing Tommy David outside his comfort zone probably brought out humor otherwise wouldve been hidden.
Don't no body throw no stones Keenan signed the checks and catapulted the cast careers to do other work in the entertainment industry. Take the good with the bad and keep pushing
Keenan was one of the few who had that ' comedic genius' in his blood. When they look back now on America's funniest guys, Keenan is left out of discussion too often. Brother Damon was pretty much as brilliant as he was.
as a middle aged white man....Let me just say this.. I PHUCKING LOVED THIS SHOW GROWING UP!!!! I honestly think today...no one, not even Jordan Peele or even Dave Chappelle, could pull off a TV show that would be 'out there' as ILC was in its hay day!
I loved 'In living color', I used to watch it every week & was 1 of the best sketch comedy shows of the 90's, hands down. Great recurring characters, fresh writing & the main thing, it was funny af!
Amazing how EVERYONE from that show branched off and left their mark in Hollywood. Even Jennifer Lopez dancing self hop scotched her way into Hollywood
@@clone1eighty7 Welp. Most out here “blowing domes” for free & struggling to pay their bills. JLo is rich & cant keep a hubby - so definitely don’t have good head game (apparently practice didn’t make perfect). 😂
In Living Color had some of the most incredible talent of any show. It was amazing they had that much star power. Other shows (SNL) did have popular stand outs, like Eddie Murphy and a few others but nothing like In Living Color.
Don't forget Chris Rock from SNL. SNL was maybe a bit more cerebral and not as much silliness. It may be time for SNL to end, not as good as it used to be. I did like ILC and have fond memories of that time and sketches. Mention it throughout the years. And, of course, Jim Carey kept the memory alive throughout his career.
Are you kidding me! Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, John Belushi, Chevi Chase, Dennis Miller, Dan Ackroyd, , Adam Sandler, Dana Carvey, John Lovitz, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealan, Mike Myers, Chris Rock, Chris Farley, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Norm MacDonald, Will Farrell, Jimmy Fallon. Yeah, I guess you're right, just a few others!
Fox and Davidson were the perfect combo. Thank you to Keenan for giving us great entertainment. Booty call, In living color, white chicks, and a low down dirty shame are classics. Like Ferris Buellars day off, The breakfast club, hot tub time machine, and better off dead all classics. ❤
I've never seen a show as huge as In Living Color. The thing that surprised me most was that Tommy Davidson didn't become a huge star, but it makes sense now knowing about his struggles
The sad part about it is quite a few stars who started out struggling with substance abuse were able bounce back and soar Robert Downey Jr is one of them. He had a strong support system. Tommy doesn't
Tommy Davidson might be the most underrated and ought to be our generations 'Sammy Davis Jr' (still time) and its stunning the talent packed in that show's run.
I admire the fact that he carried his whole family on his and everyone of them are millionaires I called that pretty ingenious the whole family is funny I admire his determination and resilience beautiful family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This show was definitely before its time. It was PHENOMENAL!!! It would air on Sunday night, after Martin. We would talk about both shows first thing Monday at work. I don’t think it could make it in 2024. Everyone is entirely too serious and over sensitive about humor.😅
Yes it was definitely before it’s time. Because he could air everything today and there would be no restrictions, since the media put any and everything on TV. Some things I don’t even wanna damn see they have it 😂 it’s sad that the reason he ended it is because of all those restrictions, that They kept making up on a weekly basis. And then started exploiting him or his show by showing reruns without his consent. SMH wonder if he ever sued them for that because it’s not right! They wanted to make their own money off of his show …or make more money rather. Greed at its finest.
The rumor was that Kim Coles was going after one of the Wayans brothers and the wife had come on the set and picked up on that and that's why she got kicked to the curb.
In Living Color was hands down one of the FUNNIEST, most iconic television shows OF ALL TIME! Those that know; KNOW. Back then, I don’t care what color your skin was, this show was all anyone talked about in school on Monday morning. This show invented “make them laugh so hard they can’t breathe and their tummies hurt! MOOHOOHAHAHAHAHA!” On top of the sheer brilliance and the scope of the writing and the talent involved, ILC launched so many careers. Where would laughter be without The Wayans Family? Keenan Ivory Wayans and family have brought us all so much laughter and joy throughout the years and for myself, if you can make me laugh so hard it hurts; I love you forever…and I do!!!
Not believing that Kim slept with Kenan. I'm guessing she did NOT sleep with him, so she had to go. "Living Single" would not have gotten her had she not left Keenan's show, so that cloud definitely had a silver lining ❤
Bruh Tommy Davidson & David Allen Greer are funny asf in every role they play in. Both of them on Martin 😂😂😂Jamie was too but I liked him in his solo show more. Man this is a classic show frl
Kenan's explanation of firing Kim Coles doesn't make any sense, which tells me that there were some problematic shenanigans going on that unfairly impacted Kim. But I'm glad that Kim was able to do more than bounce back with her role as Sinclair on the LEGENDARY "Living Single".
I agree, but the Writers in the last couple of seasons had both Synclair and Overton acting as if they had maybe half a brain between the two of them them!!! As if they were slow...😔
The rumor at the time was that was that one of the Wayans brothers wife saw that she was going after her husband and that's why she got kicked to the curb.
12:06 I knew the studio execs killed that show. How much you wanna bet that whole thing was influenced by SNL execs. In Living Color was a clear and very real rival to SNL.
In Living Color was the 1st to do a half-time show during the SupeBowl. The owner of FOX used that show to be able to get the SuperBowl from NBC to FOX… Also, FOX is the creator of Tubi.
Why does Fox not get negative flack for what they did to an iconic black show? I hate how these networks can devalue and degrade, yet we continue to consume without second thought. Same thing with Comedy central and Dave Chappelle. Why don't we support each other?
💐 to ILC cast & The Wayans family. Keenan taking his chance to pursue his dream paid off for many in various+ ways and opened a door for many great shows and talent that he inspires. ✌🏽 to all & 🖖🏽
Honestly, I think Kim Wayans had better characters, but only by a little. I liked her Cephus and Resee bit with David Alan Grier. Sorry, but the two Kims were the least funniest to me of that first season.

You’re wrong. I’m Gonna Git You Sucka was “hit out of the ballpark” and remains a comedy classic!
How much for just one rib?
Ann Marie Johnson's segment always play in my head when I hear mention of this movie. 😂
Cuz…. “You can either take the stairs or the elevator!”
“Doonk, doonk, doonk!” 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's the stunt double in the diner for me.😅😂
My life would not be the same without the Wayans. I genuinely cannot stand Hollywood but this family holds a special place in my world.
I don't remember her name, BUT that white girl was funny too. AND let's not forget David Alan Grier and Keenan's brother together that's was funny as well.
Kelly Cofield fa sho
ALAN WAS HELL🤣
Hated it .... 2 snaps in a circle 🤣🤣🤣
I liked Kelly and she was type cute
Edna Edna bo bedna
Yes, I agree...the white girl was Kelly Cofield and you can't forget bout Daivd Allen and Kim Wayans
Ironically Keenan studied engineering.
Don't no body throw no stones Keenan signed the checks and catapulted the cast careers to do other work in the entertainment industry. Take the good with the bad and keep pushing
Agreed 💯💯
You write like a white politician speaking to a black audience.
Keenan doesn’t speak that way.
@@bluecollar58 why thank you. Your comment makes me feel edumacated
@@ralphhearnjr , lol , no problem 👍
I saw Tommy Davidson a couple months ago at Katt Williams Dark Matters Tour he’s still hilarious
Yes Tommy is a true clown😂 his face expressions always send me
I grew up on In Living Color, and I love you for sharing this video and bringing back great memories.
In living color was probably funniest show ever
Remember when Mad TV tried to copy but never became as popular.
Besides Martin!🤷🏼♀️🫶🏼
@@sashaclarke2749nope
Kennan Ivory Wayans is a legend!!!! In Living Color is a masterpiece!!!!
I love “In Living Color”…the show had the most iconic comedic actors..
Amazing how EVERYONE from that show branched off and left their mark in Hollywood. Even Jennifer Lopez dancing self hop scotched her way into Hollywood
Stop.jenny blew domes to get where she is keep it 💯
@@clone1eighty7 Welp. Most out here “blowing domes” for free & struggling to pay their bills. JLo is rich & cant keep a hubby - so definitely don’t have good head game (apparently practice didn’t make perfect). 😂
I guess…If you wanna call the casting couch “hop scotch”
I think some dude named Benny Medina was hell bent on making her a star. If my memory holds up 🤷🏽♀️🥴
Didn't know that about J.Lo
@@sycpupDamon Wayans was also on SNL
The sheer talent on that show, my whole family watched! It should still be on the air today, helping to foster new comedians careers.
And strictly business
The show was ahead of its time. The Men on Film bit was always awesome.
MINN AWN FEMMES 😂
Greatest piece of culture to ever grace the screen
I've never seen a show as huge as In Living Color. The thing that surprised me most was that Tommy Davidson didn't become a huge star, but it makes sense now knowing about his struggles
he played the sidekick in a few big movies iirc
He's extremely talented, as is David Allen Greer
Still recognized him in Ace Ventura When Nature Calls under that heavy make-up
The sad part about it is quite a few stars who started out struggling with substance abuse were able bounce back and soar Robert Downey Jr is one of them. He had a strong support system. Tommy doesn't
@@kayrup3712 He was the unsung hero throughout their run
Tommy Davidson might be the most underrated and ought to be our generations 'Sammy Davis Jr' (still time) and its stunning the talent packed in that show's run.
"Sha Boing Boing Booooing" 😂
I admire the fact that he carried his whole family on his and everyone of them are millionaires I called that pretty ingenious the whole family is funny I admire his determination and resilience beautiful family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In Living Color came out right after I'd emerged from a really traumatic period in my life, and that show was the best therapy, ever.
I remember they started dropping the 'N' word the last season. Thats when I knew that the show was coming to an end. Ground breaking show.
As a teenager I never wanted to miss an episode. In Living Color and SNL would always be the talk around school every week
This was so true, we would talk about it Monday morning and couldn’t wait to see in Living Color and SML that week.
I never knew why people loved SNL so much…it was funny, but somewhat derivative iMO..
...I'm Mexican, but my first lewd and raunchy movie was Booty Call...lol...that T-Rex bit had me rollin!...
Lmao Tommy wrapped in that damn Saran Wrap 😂😂😂
Bring back ILC!! They have done it for other favorite on Pluto, Hulu, among others. Give the talented folks their due!
In Living Color was the best comedy skit show of all time.
Should of never fired Kim Coles..But, if you had not..We would not have Sinclair..❤
At one point Living Single had both Synclair and Overton acting as if they were Special and rode the lil yellow bus...😖
The rumor was that Kim Coles was going after one of the Wayans brothers and the wife had come on the set and picked up on that and that's why she got kicked to the curb.
@@Mehki227she was marries herself and denied this.
ILC IS STILL THE G.O A.T.!😃😎👍
I'm still streaming In Living Color. Awesome show, I was sad when the show was over. Outstanding cast, ❤ them all.
Jennifer Lopez started here. Jim Carey, Jamie Foxx, and Kim Coles really flourished from this show.
I miss this era of tv.
I think Kim Coles flourished from Living Single. In Living Color was her gateway to Living Single because it was on the same network, FOX.
The Wayans Brothers and Sister Kim Wayans are awesome LOL 😂
In Living Color was hands down one of the FUNNIEST, most iconic television shows OF ALL TIME! Those that know; KNOW. Back then, I don’t care what color your skin was, this show was all anyone talked about in school on Monday morning. This show invented “make them laugh so hard they can’t breathe and their tummies hurt! MOOHOOHAHAHAHAHA!”
On top of the sheer brilliance and the scope of the writing and the talent involved, ILC launched so many careers.
I think even she confirmed they were in a relationship. That usually involves sex at their big ages.
@@lql1094 She never confirmed that. She actually denied it recently.
Link? @@jahmal4ever1
@@lql1094Yep, mostly time it does. But u would be amazed that r a few romantic relationships that doesn't involved sex. 🤷🏽♀️
She's a human isn't she?
This was the greatest scetch comedy show ever. Absolutely amazing and ground breaking.
Starts at 2:15
The network that ran Married with Children for 11 years didn't think they could air a In Living Color?
Wonder why they thought one was problematic and the other show was all white…I mean right 😂
Wonderfully creative team of actors/comedians, loved this show!
Bonita Buttrell..."but u ain't hear that from me" 😂😂😂
Bruh Tommy Davidson & David Allen Greer are funny asf in every role they play in. Both of them on Martin 😂😂😂Jamie was too but I liked him in his solo show more. Man this is a classic show frl
I love the Bruno Mars music video for his song Finesse. It's done as an homage to the show opening from In Living Color.
We'd be Home Sunday night to make sure we watched! 😂 ❤
*Yes, that was a Golden Era in television! Thanks for this trip (a great one!) down Memory Lane!* 💚💖💚
Yes and ‘ woo woo woo
I agree, but the Writers in the last couple of seasons had both Synclair and Overton acting as if they had maybe half a brain between the two of them them!!! As if they were slow...😔
The rumor at the time was that was that one of the Wayans brothers wife saw that she was going after her husband and that's why she got kicked to the curb.
Missin' In Living Color in 2024!!!! THE Best 👌
12:06 I knew the studio execs killed that show. How much you wanna bet that whole thing was influenced by SNL execs. In Living Color was a clear and very real rival to SNL.
A lot of talent on one show....loved it
Fire Marshall Bill is the First Mayhem from All State tv ads. Had Mayhem back in the 90's
100% right
💯%... I'm 💀....🤣
One of my favorite shows from the 90’s. Brings back many memories. We were newly married and my husband and I laughed soooo hard.
In Living Color was the 1st to do a half-time show during the SupeBowl. The owner of FOX used that show to be able to get the SuperBowl from NBC to FOX… Also, FOX is the creator of Tubi.
I used to watch this. I loved the song parodies, Homie the Clown, Men on Film and a sketch where Louis Farrikahan beamed on the Star Sip Enterprise.
Why does Fox not get negative flack for what they did to an iconic black show? I hate how these networks can devalue and degrade, yet we continue to consume without second thought. Same thing with Comedy central and Dave Chappelle. Why don't we support each other?
Cuz it wasn’t there idea or another thing they could steal as usual
Simply bcuz our roles are not as flexible as others roles. We are seen not as actors. But type cast.
There are plenty of grass roots organisations and communities you can support. UA-cam is actually an easy tool to find them with
They own the broadcast stations and etc….
Cause Jamie a snake duhh
💐 to ILC cast & The Wayans family. Keenan taking his chance to pursue his dream paid off for many in various+ ways and opened a door for many great shows and talent that he inspires. ✌🏽 to all & 🖖🏽
Their Super Bowl halftime skit was genius. They promoted it for weeks and back then the halftime show was bland and what Ilc did was next level.
And that’s when they booked Michael Jackson for the next one. And the Big Name Halftime Show was born. In Living Color did that.
In Living Color then The Arsenio Hall Show. You made sure you were planted in front of a television for the night! Good memories.
Arsenio should have had a run similar to THE TONIGHT SHOW ‼️💯🎤
He said there was a lot of steps that he had to take we thank you for taking no steps truly keenen Ivory Wayans is the goat of comedy
To me kim cole was funnier. Im happy that she got on living single.
Honestly, I think Kim Wayans had better characters, but only by a little. I liked her Cephus and Resee bit with David Alan Grier.
Sorry, but the two Kims were the least funniest to me of that first season.
@@lql1094 I stating that between the two Kim's. Wayne's did have better characters. Cole said before that she was not allowed to be herself and expand because of Wayne's. Then she was let go.
@@SimplyNina1
You can expand on your own show. She was part of a cast with one executive producer and it wasn’t her. Seems like she didn’t want to play her position.
She is very funny

This interview confirms shit we already knew. “What do you mean by revolutionary?”
My son and I loved this show! I bought him a "Homie da clown"!😂
By far one of the best shows ever and would love another Wayan’s show.
