First time I've ever seen a video of Mr. Wooten reading sheet music.😮😲
There was Jaco , then Marcus and then came VICTOOOOR ❤❤❤❤
The solo work performed by the young lady @1:35:48 was extraordinary! The way she emoted Amazing Grace throughout her performance-the gentleness, honesty, touch, purity, kindness, sincerity, humility, creativity, innocence,-was beyond exemplary of amazing grace! It was Heavenly and Angelic!!!
There was so much incredible music and musicianship throughout this video, but that young lady’s solo work stood all on its own, by creating a lulling accord in one’s spirit-just like that of a powerful healing prayer!
It is humble and authentic artistic expression like this that will heal this World!
@ 1:38:41 You can see Gregg fully feeling the Sacredness!
May God bless everyone who reads this message and May God bless you all the days of your life. 🎉
Дарвин уже благословил.
Amen. Have a Blessed day! .Wishing you health, luck and happiness, May God bless you all the days of your life. 🎉@@Egor-xb7ii
where is this high school and how do I send my kids there?? Gregg and Victor drew me here, but the beautiful music kept me here. Thank you. So many emotions, thoughts and dreams come alive where real music is happening.🙏
Victor's fingertapping on Vic's Nine is mindblowing!! like i have never seen anyone get that much clarity and speed on bass! that was amazing!
Absolutely, I totally agree. Victor Wooten is a beast and I am very thankful for the opportunity to see him and record him live. Thank you for watching our video. Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel. We create music content for everyone at all levels.
can tell that the guitarist wanted to sound great for vic and gregg, and they absolutely did! shout out to the whole group!
Of course Victor his terrific along with Gregg…I just want to thank the professionals on stage for helping the kids w/their instruments! The kids are doing a Great job!👍🏼🎼🎹🎸
Very nice! This is a combination of players I didn't know could exist but made so much sense once I considered it. This performance confirms that consideration.
Gregg Bissonette showing again why he is one of the GOATs. Tim Cook is doing a great job on the keyboard, too.
I am so glad this showed up as a suggested video. Huge fan of Gregg and Victor. A night these people will never forget. Thanks for sharing!
love the drummer and the bassplayer and the band!!
First, kudos to the percussion instructors for all their hard work teaching and creating an amazing environment for these young musicians. Second to Gregg and Victor. In my opinion they two of the most incredible musicians on the planet and two of the best humans you'll ever find!
I was very fortunate to be friends with the percussion instructor. I couldn't believe that we were about to record Victor Wooten. It was an amazing experience for me. I can just imagine the kids totally loving it. Thank you for watching our video. Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel. We create music content for everyone at all levels.
Never seen and heard such a bassman? He' s so incredibel and great!! 🤟🤟🥳😘😎
This is awesome!
A really cool mesh of the old and the new. Love this performance. Kudos to both the school band and the visiting performers for a great show.
Amazing!
Nailed it guys!! 👊😁
tears of emotion... happy time for all!
The solo near the end made me terrified and sad at first, but it also made me smile and brought me tears... I have admired Wooten since the 90's, and he still has my admiration. Such courage, routine, faith and willpower to go on stage with such conditions. The wonderful career of one of the biggest bassists in history should not end with such a disease as dystonia...
That courage is something I really admire. Knowing that at a given time during a performance you might really only have one or two fingers doing what you want them to, and knowing that, getting on stage and rocking it up. He tried one thing, it didn't work out, and then he leaned into it and made it more engaging for the audience. You can very clearly notice him responding to the audience, playing into that goofiness with the looper pedal to get the crowd laughing. It goes to show just how professional he really is. Whatever he has at his disposal he uses to give the best performance he can and that's all anyone can ask for. I am sure he doesn't need any pity from anyone because he is still doing what he has been doing for a long time, slapping and grooving and having a great time. All I have for him is a great deal of respect and admiration for being a phenomenal bass player, performer and teacher who inspires countless other people into playing music and for being someone who makes my days shift ever so farther away from the dull grey they would be if not for great music.
I know exactly what you mean. I had watched him for a long time and loved and hopped on the opportunity to work with them. Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel. We create music content for everyone at all levels.
I wasn't aware of him having dystonia. I also have to look up dystonia because I don't know what it is. Django Reinhart showed the world that you could push the limits of guitar playing with just two fingers (on his left hand!), so I'm confident Wooten could do it too. Also, Jamerson only used one finger with his right hand (aka The Hook) and he completely reinvented bass playing in the process, so I have confidence in Wooten.
Increíblemente genial! Ame el concierto!
It was awesome to see and hear this concert!!!! Hopefully those kids can appreciate this opportunity to play with these two monumental musicians!!!
What a great concert! Reminded me of good ol jazz college days back in the day! Great songs and memories for those guys! 👍🙂👏👏👏👏
Well done all especially Gregg what a professional drummer he is love listening to his performance thanks everyone.
Sensacional, parabéns. Petrópolis-RJ Brasil
I started watching this for Victor and Gregg but was eventually won over by everybody in the band. What a great selection of tunes played extremely well. Hats off to everybody for this performance!
Greg.... Wow !!!
Love it!! Mr Wooten making mistake on Come Together and Mr Bissonette counting on Vic’s 9, these legends are human after all and I love them more for it. It’s all in the fun and musical communication makes it that much more alive. I bet they had minimal practice and trusted more on their guts and in each other.
As musicians we tend to over stress ourselves with perfection that we forget it’s actually about the pure joy of performance and being together in an ensemble.
Thank you so much for this.
I loved this!
Thank you so much for you r kind words. They are great human beings and really care about education. Thank you for watching our video. Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel. We create music content for everyone at all levels.
Whooo!!

Funny seeing VW playing Uptown Funk
Everybody IS the time keeper - Victor Wooten -
Funky!
Anyone else notice that he tuned the E string down to D for "Uptown Funk"? Kinda blows my mind that he could play the whole tune without his mind "reverting" to expect the normal notes on the E string.
Ya sabemos que es el super bassman.. Espero que llegue
A realizar un álbum en serio, para que resalte su genio y conocimiento músical... Que no todo sea así nadamas como jugar
Why change key to F for Big Country? That's big problem!

Not sure if the Hartke rig is doing Vic justice… 🤷🏽♂️
That Sledgehammer was messed up.
These kids all look like they'd rather be on their iPhones - Incredibly Disrespectful when you are among GIANTS.

Awesome.... shame about the sync issue
Is it me or the video and audio are out of sincro? 😢
oh yes, the video seems to be be out of sync with the sound, what a pity as the video quality is decent, as is the audio!
I dont see IEM here. And they do better without it.. 🙏🏻👍👍
😂😢😮😅🎉😅
This naturally seems like a very bad idea. Let's get Victor Wooten and Greg with a High School Band to play cover tunes like Sledgehammer or Bruno Mars.
music is meant to be enjoyed with others. humans are social beings. i think you may be suffering from some metaphysical, idealist tendencies in your logic
@@constantstudies You have no sense of humor. A fun sponge, who can't form sentences properly. That's suspect right there.
This is VW humbly giving his celebrity back to the music community, getting involved while showcasing /inspiring musicians and musicianship.
Video and audio are out of sync!!!
the kid with the glasses seem to be so bored
Que genialidad!!!!!
Sorry but Tony Levin bass line in Sledghammer is 1000 moore better...
I love Wooten style but..." for Me" Jaco Pastorius before and M. MILLER today have mutch better sound/tone, and impact in one live situation 🤷🏻♂️
Victor suffers from dystonia....maybe you didn't know ....but he plays mostly only with one finger of his left hand
seriously???
@@christianlewis6252 yes
I also think that Jaco and Marcus are two of the bass greats but Victor is the ultimate in groove and percussive playing. So saddened to hear of his affliction.
A bit obnoxious, but okay
