Andy this one just landed in my hobby shop today for the first time that's how long it takes to get to AUS shop wise. $75 AUSIt was the only one there so I picked it up I know I could of got it cheaper online but I like to support my local Hobby shop. People always go on about shops being so expensive but they don't take into account rent and staff wages. I don't see many shop owners with huge gold chains around their necks.Keep the vids up

another great kit with the excellence of Tamiya on the part fit, even their 1977 kit fits nicely
Tell me about it, I recently went into my local hobby store and saw he had the majority of their 1977-1990 kits in stock and all of them were REALLY cheap, like $30 CAD for a 1/35 scale tank here in Canada is cheap as it gets! I picked up about 6 kits in there that day, and one of them was a 1/35 Gepard from 1977 and I’ve built it recently and the fit was just amazing, for a 1977 kit I was astounded. TAMIYA are by far the best manufacturer out there for fit, and sometimes even detail!

Good sprue cutting tip. Being new to this you don't know how many parts I've messed up from not paying attention before cutting.

Cool build. Would love to see you build the Academy M18 Hellcat. I know it's an older kit, but it's one of my favorite WW2 vehicles and no one makes them come to life like you do.
When I was building I used tube cement , shy of liquid cement ,thought it had no strength . Thank you .
When I was building, there wasn't even liquid available... That was in the seventies. Loved when the Tamiya catalogue came out every year....

Thanks for the review Andy, will be picking this up after im done with tamiyas panzer 4 early production model, I got the photo etched parts with it aswell, love Tamiya ww2 era tank kits, have you any plans in the future to do some 1/35 scale figures, paints you use on the skin tone etc ? I currently use tamiyas xf 15 flat flesh, but it doesn't give off a realistic enough look in my opinion

Hej Andy again a very nice video. and the m10 looks real nice, a very nice detail kit, and the men is looking real nice to.i build the tamiya m36 jackson, and the men in that build realy looks bad, all in all the jackson kit is on of the worst tamiya i ever hat build. but i look forward to build the m10 you did. I just finished building Tamiya's Achilles M10 1/35, which is based on this kit, but it is even better, they simplified a few building steps and they added a driver figure and the seat support for the driver, which could be added to this kit too, because Tamiya already has tank drivers of the quality of these figures. The way the pieces fit together is impressive, and BTW, Andy's video was useful. Thank you! I wonder if Asuka/Tasca VVSS suspension kit could be added to this one

that looks like a great kit, would the release date be the same for Canada? Also Andy on your web-sight one can order and have delivery does that work for us up north also? I was there over spring break and bought a number of kits shipping would be cheaper than a flight....keep up the great work really dig the tips

Do you have a formula for mixing a larger amount of XF 62 and XF 59? Something along the lines of your “track” mix?
Awesome Andy, is your price gonna be in the 30's ? Also what is ur shipping policy ? Actual rate ? Flat rate based on amount of order ? I'm all about supporting my local shop, then of course any shops from the Tube community then last online shops. But in the long run being on disability the cheapest gets the biz. But being ur showing me this kit first, I love it and will have one if ur selling them for $35 or cheaper I'll take one haha. Thanks for sharing!!!

I'm not sure on that , but I believe Tamiya will be issuing one like they did in 1/48
Definitely a must to get kit for the list. Only question I have is if this is all new moulding or does it share part tree's with the older kit.

21:28 FYI, that wasn't the air intake on the back deck. that was located in the crew compartment.
That star decal at the front did you cut the 2 holes to fit with the nuts or it came with the 2 holes already punched on the decal? Thanks

I do but it will not be back in stock for a few months according to Tamiya
I was wondering if you could help me find the tank my dad might have been on in ww2 know he was a LT in the tank division . I remember his patch was red with a black panther on it. with the tank tracks . I believe it was the Tank Destroyer Forces Patch WWII US Army but I'm not sure about what type of tank he would have been on. I believe it was the M18 Hellcat because I remember him telling me his gun was only a 76 mm. Can I get this model in the 1/35 scale. if this is the right tank?

Vietnam Vet ..what Battalion was he in. my father was in an M10 with the 893rd Tank Destroyer Battalion. you can find out which Vehicle by the Battalion he was with.
my parents died in 2004 , I'm trying to get his social so I can get his military records and find out more about him. Thanks for the info it means a lot to me.

how many drops of dark yellow do u use in olive drab to lighten it
i usually use about 2 drops yellow to 8 olive drab and then adjust depending how light you want it
PLS PLS do a vid on comparing the academy m10 and the tamiya m10, also if you cant, do a comparison between any tamiya and academy
Beutyfull kit. Would it be possible to replace the gun with a metal 17 pounder to convert this to british Achilles? I guess it may be hard since the barrel is slimer at the base.

You could buy the Tamiya 1/48 M10IIC Achilles. I'm actually building one at the moment, it's great.
Acidcasualty I want to put it next to my 1:35 :) Maby they will make Achilles soon since it shares almost all parts it would be easy for them.
