    • @rmc_fan
      @rmc_fan Рік тому

      the guy running would completely destroy any swimmer ever. water is 800 times denser than air, so they are just very different activities. while running, an average person could probably run 100 yards in about 20 seconds, but the average swimmer swims 100 yards in anywhere from 1:10 to around 50 seconds depending on age, and the world record time is just under 40 seconds

    • @mikhaelhalbar417
      @mikhaelhalbar417 Рік тому +1

      @@rmc_fan yeah, probably I mean the density argument isnt really valid since the fluid dynamic is different but I totally agree wth you. I just think it would be interesting to see wether the guy running would struggle.

      @rmc_fan Рік тому +1

    I'm more than sure Michael has a genetic where he doesn't produce the average amount of lactic acid, so it means he doesn't get fatigued easily as the average human. For a swimmer that is downright a superhuman power.

      Lactic acid isn't causing fatigue. Lactic acid is just a byproduct of generating energy. You get fatigue from the partially from the increase in h+ ions generated from energy breakdown/generation and usage of atp. (H ions produce a more acidic environment, which makes it hard for the body to function properly)
