Kevin, Smiling here because your targeting your bass on a fly rod. Nothing better than that. I'm getting to the Cape later next week. For me, it's the best fly fishing destination in New England. Tight Lines!!!!!!
Awesome guys.... Very informative. Will be hitting the beach soon for those schoolies. You got me excited when you said that you have heard reports that schoolies were already being caught in Maine. Thank you! 👍
A on these small agree with the pants made about switching to smaller barbless hooks and if you're into lots of small fish stop and look for bigger fish to prevent wear and tearoom the small stripers.
Hey Captain~! I'm in Richmond, Va about to head south to the HRBT, Rudee Inlet & the OBX for my stripper-birthday present to yours truly, myself. I landed a 15' Offshore Angler Surf rod from Bass Pro Shops using my $10 b-day discount plus a sweet new 6000 series saltwater reel. I got a few folks I've known a few years asking for fish reports since April. Have you landed any yet & please tell me about your boat. I built boats for Buddy Davis Custom Yachts in Wancheese, NC when I lived on the OBX for 7 years. Good luck this spring & fall seasons~!
Do stripers typically leave the salt ponds and estuaries in spring for the harbor? do Migrating striper go up rivers into estuaries and salt ponds in spring? I live in CT near an estuary with a smaller but substantial river estuary system with some deep ponds that became brackish many years ago but not typical salt flat ponds. Can't seem to get a pattern on them beyond late summer when they fill the ponds and bust bunker up and down the shore.
If you were fishing at the beach and I walked up do I have the right to tell you go buy a license first before you fish ? No I don't if I don't have that right how can we delegate it do politicians' we can't, help about the fishing licenses/ permission slips.
No one Ever talks about CT. April 9th was catching 20 pounders on a bucktail 👍
I was just about to say that. No love for those in CT.
Maybe it's a good thing to be tight lipped.

Awesome
I live right on a marsh on the outer cape and I’m having a hard time catching stripers. Any tips?
Target deeper parts of the marsh (channels) when the current is moving. Try smaller lures (3 to 4 inches) and fish evenings past sunset. Good luck!
@@kevinblinkoff8466 the past two days I’ve been catching a ton! Biggest was 23.
