Absolutely the best description of these events! I have witnessed them first hand, crazy how the bass go BANANAS! Love how he dispels the fact that it is "not really a hatch". LOVE IT!!!
Awesome vid. Saw a massive cinder worm hatch in Mashpee this weekend, and the schoolies were losing their mind. Totally spot on - they weren’t eating artificial and so tricky to fool. Only landed one
Haha cracking up over here like a couple of boys in the back of a Sex Ed class. Jimmy you're the real winner of this Striper Cup for regaining composure that quickly. I'm still laughing and the video's over!
Caught a few stripers and a couple really really nice blues last weekend in MA nothing since then been going every few days morning and or night not even hits.
@@kontra204 same Im primarily a freshwater angler, but I’ve always done off shore saltwater fishing every now and then. but I’m getting more serious into surf fishing I started last yr and really enjoy it.
Reddish-orange saddle hackles tied on a siwash hook with the tip and ‘tail’ darkened with a felt tipped pen and given NO action at all, don’t know why but it does work...uh..sometimes.🎣
Red Shad and squid colored 4.5" Slu-Gos are dynamite during the worm 'hatches' but I knew one guy who insisted that a 6" Bubblegum Slug-Go was the cat's azz when they were on the worms.
Been watching this wonder of nature for over 55 years now... They are so cool to watch Thank You for sharing
This includes the best discussion of the "worm hatch". Flies definitely have an advantage in these hatches.

Very informative video. We used to fish the cinder worm hatch for cocktail blues in the Manasquan River. Caught hundreds.
Nice discussion on the spawn
Awsome in going to the cape this weekend
Just ran into this the other day. Was quite surprised to be swimming when the water turned pink with millions as far as the eye could see.

This Andrew fella knows what is going on.
Hahahahahaha talk about just putting it it there!
will a salt water grub made by Burkley or even a Slugo imitate these worms? How about using artificial hair of 5 to 6 inches?
