Hello I'm in fla as well but Coral Springs I found this shampoo and conditioner in dollar tree so I'm trying it out for the first time .Thanks for sharing
That gel is my holy grail in the summer months. It is the only gel that keeps the frizz at bay when the dew points are in the 70's! Need to try the shampoo & conditioner. Should clarifying shampoos like this be used in every wash or just occasionally? Tia! Blessings!
You can use them as often as you want as long as your hair is not drying out from it. For hair like mine, I can use it every wash day. But for anyone who needs more moisture, it wouldn't be a good idea.
Every time I see you do a demo, I'm really amazed at what a small amount of product you use. All hair is different, and we need to figure out what works for us, which you have done. My colored hair is about half way grown out. It is so damaged and the cuticle so raised that it gets very crunchy and stringy from styling products and the new part growing in does not. It'a a little tricky at this point to apply gel to my hair. New growth needs much more than the old growth. Thanks for the demo.
Great review - I have the same problem with moisture! So many products have too much moisture. And I also have many months with high dew points and humidity. Thank you!
Have you found any successful products recently? I saw your comment on her glycerin video and it seems like we have the same exact hair type. I had a great routine locked down but winter ruined it and now I’m having to start over :(
So glad you reviewed this line. I have very fine 3c hair. I'd been using the Quidad curl line but realized it's too moisturizing to use during the Winter and was really weighing my hair down. My hair gets more dry in the Summer. I've been wanting to try this line but wasn't sure which formula. I hate the feel of a cast from gels so I always gravitate back to Aveda's Confixor. Great hold for fine hair without absolutely no crunch. How do you refresh on day 2 and forward until next wash? Many products tend to make my hair feel goopy 😫. BTW your hair is absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you! I would layer leave in or a curl cream under gels to get less of a cast and less dryness. To refresh, I normally use watered down leave in and a tiny bit of watered down gel. That is IF I refresh, which is very rare. I just embrace the fluffier look because I can't be bothered. But I do have a refreshing video on my channel in case you want more info.
I’ll have to revisit this gel. I tried it during the summer and it worked ok, but I think my routine was overall too moisturizing which I think affected how well the gel held my curls.
I disagree about the fragrance. I would say the scent of this shampoo is much heavier than any Curlsmith products I have used. (I didn’t try the conditioner).
That's so interesting. I find the Curlsmith products to be so obnoxiously scented that it fills up the room and hallways for hour. I can't even smell this shampoo after it's rinsed out.
I'm scared to try the gel because i heard the peoduxts made some people's hair feel drier. The area i'm in I have high humidity all year round, but my hair also looks dry very quick and i dont wanna dry it out. Would you still recommend the gel for my hair(i dont heat or chemical damage)?
How would this line work in really dry weather. I live in the desert where dew points are usually in the teens or below. My fine wavy hair seems to get weighed down easily.

Haha I know! So many people are shocked. As it's gotten healthier I find I need less and less.

You're welcome. Hopefully if you try these products you like them as much as I do.

Yeah that definitely ruins the effects of gel

Yes. If it does dry out your hair just leave in some of your conditioner before applying the gel.

I'm not sure. It's so low moisture without using leave in but maybe with their primer it would work. I imagine you'd need that in such dry conditions.
