I have tried the whole sulfate, silicone, paraben free thing and it just made my hair so tangled and eventually fell out. I use the herbal essences bio renew coconut milk shampoo and conditioner and I like how it makes my hair soft. I know it has sulfates and silicones but I think my hair may like them. Do you have any recommendations on shampoos and conditioners? Also, I used to use a hairspray gel on a daily basis because that’s the only thing that would tame the frizz. I’ve been trying to find more alcohol free things because my hair is decently dry but nothing is working to fight the humidity. I recently bought the blueberry bliss control jelly and I’m hoping that works. I have low density, medium porosity (I believe) hair. I also think it’s around 3a but it has changed a lot since I’ve been trying to make it healthier (not really in a good way:( sadly). It is much thinner than it used to be and I’m not sure what products would work for me because I feel like I’ve tried everything. Do you have any recommendations?

Does it flake is my question? I have bought systems before for curly hair, and the products flake and gels don't work well with heavy moisture.
I have fine hair and use the Leave-in in the black bottle but even though I only use a little bit my hair always stays wet looking? Can you tell me why?

They have a gel in the white line and black. I have the white one, but the only thing is it’s a lightweight thin serum slip gel, I wish they would come out with a strong hold gel so I totally get what you’re saying! But I do love it, and every other product that I’ve tried from this brand

@@chelseakerec-uzoni9148 - of course! Yeah! ManesByMell is from Canada and she is how I found out about this brand, but the black gel is the same bottle in black, and is called “ready, set, bounce”.
Update: I noticed this line made my curls too soft and I decided to return them. There’s too much of a system and routine. I’m a simple one and done person. I had to use so much gel in my hair to get “okay” results. I use the kinky curly knot today and that’s all I need honestly.
The oil (red line) is the only thing that has been a disappointment to me. It just doesn't even compare to Verb or even Frizz Ease's Serum. (Fine, tight curls)

The Ouidad strong hold everyone says is great for humidity does nothing for me, so I’ll give some Twist a try. I just want my hair to be like yours 😫🤩

I'M USING TWIST PRODUCTS RIGHT NOW AND I ACTUALLY HATE THE SMELL!! BUT LOVE THE SMELL OF OUIDAD!
I bought the 4-1 conditioner which I like but it did not come with a pump as pictured so its difficult to get out of the bottle.

Which TWIST products did you get? The ones in the black bottle don't smell good, but I like the white and red containers.

@@gracedottavi3174 the kinky curly gel? It has great hold but found it to be flaky. And sometimes hair would be super hard lol. Any styling tips?

A word of advice: look into fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.
