I've been wanting to try this pattern for a long time. You make it seem easy. You should give lessons to other who post tutorials because your videos are the most professional of any I've seen. Your voice is pleasant, your methods are concise and you don't waste time on things we don't need to know. I have watched all of your tutorials and still can't get enough. Great job! You and Matt have given me so many ideas!!
I couldn't have said it better myself. I thoroughly enjoy the tutorial videos for all of the reasons mentioned. I finished my first quilt after the inspiration I've received from this channel! How wonderful to be able to pick out any fabric from your own store! It's like being a kid in a candy shop! Donna and Matt are adorable together, and I feel like they're friends I've never met! I lived in Grants Pass for a year in the early 80s. If I ever get back there I will definitely go to Jordan Fabrics!
When ever I watch a "new" video, to me, I am impressed with the quality of your teaching but most of all by the camera work. Thank you son for the professional job he does. He is always on mark for the close up detail that we need to see, always focused on exactly what we need to learn and encourages you and Matt to have a little fun when you are introducing the technique.
What a relief Donna! I don’t have to be perfect!😂🤪. I love the “crazy quilt” configurations going through my head as I watch you construct this cool pattern. The mix and match fabric combinations.... I have to go cut and sew now.....💕
When you want to chop several blocks at one time, if you stack them, but not very evenly, you would get slight variations between the blocks instead of all identical. I love the wall hanging and the placemats! Very appealing but relatively simple! Thanks!
You have the perfect voice for teaching, Donna - clear, crisp, resonant. It accentuates the mastery you have of your craft. I love listening and learning from you. I’m going to make a lap quilt for myself using the “Chopsticks” pattern. Thank you.
You are my go to girl whenever I need a new idea for a quilt. Love your videos. I have learned more from you in the past two months than I have in the past 5 years.
I just love your tutorials. Your enthusiasum is so contagious. The grunge fabric you use remind me of Swede. I don't know if I spelled it right. ( Swade). Beautiful quilts, beautiful placemats, wall hangings etc. I have been binge watching your videos after discovering them. Love them.
What a fun pattern and so visually interesting. Love the modern look! Everything doesn't have to be so complex as evidenced by this design. Thank you for introducing this to all of us.
What a stylish simple way of sewing everything from a quilted place mat to a bed sized quilt. Great in winter coloured batiks for easy Christmas gifts, thanks 😀☘
I picked up some Japanese print fabrics while in Hawaii. I think I'll make a combination of these blocks and a rice bowl pattern I designed, using some of the prints with matching solids for the chopsticks and bowls. Thanks very much for showing how to do it!
This is my favorite so far, and not really easy, but you make it look easy. All your tips are so much appreciated. I was glad to see you make it into a wall hanging. It's so artistic.
Love it, love it, love it! A friend of mine asked me to make him a tablerunner and matching tabletoppers for his end tables, and this is the perfect pattern for that purpose. Thanks so much, Donna!
Thank you for another great tutorial. I love the placemat idea. Even using one large piece of fabric and inserting 'sticks' would give a quick and fairly easy gift.
Hi Jordan, I absolutely LOVE your channel! Thank you very much for the free downloads too. So generous of you. I have a hoard of those to try now. I haven't quilted in several years, been doing other crafts. Now I have two rooms! One for sewing, nearly complete & the other for painting & other fun projects. I just bought a serger that I've never used b4. Nice to see how to use it w/the jumper you made. Want to make that for my granddaughter. She will love how "spiny" it is. The squares quilt you made in the blues so FAB! Thank you for sharing your creative talent
I’m almost done with a one chopstick quilt but it was challenging getting that stick even with the fabric square. I used painters tape on my cutting board as a guide-that helped!
Love this quilt ! Perfect for those who like a modern look. Your instructions are clear and concise. You did it again another fantastic video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm! Anna from Manitoba
Jordan :::: Thank you for keeping from jumping out a window during this CV19. I have been making scrub caps and masks. I also am making a scrap quilt or two or three depending. Nothing fancy. I have eight children grown. We were locked in before the pandemic. My husband is a retired doctor, my son is a active doc in San Bernadino California in the CV 19 task force who did need the scrubs,.one is a RN cancer nurse in Oklahoma, another is a speech therapist in a nursing home in charge of the entire program and my daughterinlaw. One son is a Pt CLEANING THE KIRKLAND HOSPITAL EVERGLADE BECAUSE he cannot see patients so he was reassigned to cleaning. One works in a lab and so on. I could lose my mind with worry but instead I have enjoyed your videos. I plan to buy a kit soon. I want to thank you for your incredible skills and sharing. I am not stupid, I know it helps your business, but your are a dynamo!!!!!!!Your husband seems to be one too!!!~! My husband is a great guy too. Supports my madness. Thanks for the videos.
I enjoy all your videos and often repeat them to pay attention to your tips. You are a great teacher and work in an organized way, which I really like. My question is: what kind or model iron do you use? My iron is dying, so I'm looking to replace it with something like the one you have: one that puts out A LOT of steam, and can get really hot. Your answer is greatly appreciated.
I would like to make and use place mats, but I'm not very good at laundry and worry that if I made beautiful placemats like these, that they would be ruined with food stains. Any laundry techniques or septic tank safe products or even fabric choices that you could share would be appreciated. Looking forward to the next video. xoxo from Arizona.
Hermosisimo , sobrio , elegante y tu haces muy lindos trabajos lastima que no se ingles seme dificulta mucho pero yo saco las medidas con dificultad pero hago tambien cosas bonitas gracias por sus tutoriales un abrazó
I wish I had planned it, but no it was just coincidence! I do sometimes get my nails done in colors to match the videos - I actually asked for Pumpkin Spiced nails last time!
I must be daft right now because I can't understand why a tail is needed on the boarder? Is it because the border may be a different size than anticipated? I make my borders the way you teach and follow one after another rather than top, bottom then sides. I'm definitely going to make this but kinda hung up here. Again, love, love your vids. It's 8:30 now and anxiously awaiting 10pm to see if you share another wonderful tutorial tonight.

Love your chop stick patterns. And love watching all your shows. Thank you so much and the way you explain everything.
Love the idea of squaring up after sewing the block.
So many beautiful patterns... only one lifetime....
آموزشهای شما مثل هنر شما واقعاً عالی هستند و من لذت میبرم از تماشای ویدیو های شما.
بسیار سپاسگزارم

Thankyou Donna. Love your videos.
Making this pattern with red strips in black/black and white blocks. So much easier than I expected, enjoyable to make. Thanks for a great tutorial.
Love this pattern. I can't wait to make it. Thanks for the pattern.
Another great quilt idea. Thank you!
I love your tutorials very much

Great tip! That would work just dandy and I'll try it myself next time.
I absolutely love this. Thank you.

Thanks so much for confirming how to line up the sticks so that they are straight. I am ready to rock and roll now. The wall hanging is a great idea!
I love your tutorials. You explain how to do these patterns, and how to line up everything so everyone can do it. Much appreciated.
What a fun pattern and so visually interesting. Love the modern look! Everything doesn't have to be so complex as evidenced by this design. Thank you for introducing this to all of us.
Thank you for showing how to match up the lines. I’m fairly new to quilting and wondered how you always got them perfect!
Love the design
It's really nice that you show us other color ways. The batik placements were quite pretty.
I love the wall hanging and especially the placemats in the batiks. Thank you.
I LOVE this! Thank you so much.
Wow, the wall hanging is really beautiful, what a fun idea & looks like a very expensive piece of contemporary art work, love it, thank you Donna.
Alison Lee... My thoughts exactly, a true work of art.

Just love the grunge fabric. Your presentations spark more ideas. Thanks for sharing.
I love this . . . so COOL! And continuing the chopstick into the border really makes this perfect!
I really like this one!! The pattern looks great and modern 💕💕

Awesome and excellent directions, thank you very much.
This has great possibilities. What about an overlaid pattern of vines with leaves in contrast to the sharp lines. Kind of Asian art vines?
what a great, simple idea! nice job on increasing the audio for an old **** like me without making me fall out of the chair 😄😄
Donna I really like that idea I'm going to have to give it a try
Very Nice!! 💕
Another enjoyable video, thank you, Donna.

We use place mats at every meal and I just use warm water and mild soap to wash them.
I saw that this pattern was free but I am not seeing where to access. It is a great and easier choice. Thanks
I don't see the pattern either
Hermosisimo , sobrio , elegante y tu haces muy lindos trabajos lastima que no se ingles seme dificulta mucho pero yo saco las medidas con dificultad pero hago tambien cosas bonitas gracias por sus tutoriales un abrazó
I think I could do this one :)

Did you plan to coordinate your top and your shoes to your fabric? Love it. Clever pattern.
