Based on the story from Extended Railway Series Book 45: Mid-Sodor Engines
Poor old Jim had a terrible jinx which plagued him for years - little did he know, his worst accident would save him...
This story has probably been the best received of the whole lot in terms of the ERS volume itself, and it's certainly been given the most gratifying comments. I'm particularly proud of it given the fact it's a really emotional and heart-warming story, with plenty of drama, and a very happy ending for what became a very amiable character.
When I was editing this, I went beyond my usual resources of DVDs and such for SFX. Instead, I picked up on the videos from Wales of 2007 to 2009 to generate new soundbytes. There's one or two very noticable ones... see if you can find them!

This should be remade it really is good
Twelve and a half years later, this is still great!
The happy ending for Jim almost makes me want to cry 😢
That truck almost sounds like miney (the mine engine)
JIM The Jynx is interesting ❤
Poor Jim. Won't those freight cars ever leave him alone?
Falcon sure had a point about Jim the Jinx, believe it or not.
Need I add that the Manager wasn't all that bad?
Huzzah, a man who uses punctuation in sentences.
Even though I've never read the extended railway series: I know for a fact that later on in the extended railway series Jim would have many other adventures on other narrow gauge railways through different countries until eventually making his way back home to sodor and being reunited with his old friends from the mid sodor railway duke Sir Handel and peter sam
I wish I could see what Jim looked like without his cab
I like how Kate669 gets the chance of voicing a truck, it really pushes the old boundaries of the rumors on Thomas being a sexist series, I like how SiF are always thinking up clever ideas like this :)
Oh that's not sexist
I smiled at the ending: "Argh you little Troll!" :D
Lol
This is a really great
I would have loved to see these adapted in the tv series as season 4 or 5 stories.
Yes I know, I forget to put Don't in
(truck 1: We want duke or Stuart) (truck 2: not falcon he's too stuffy and Jim's two jinxia)
I think someone should have illustrated that face better because that face f****** scares me
I mean, gotta love the female truck, interesting story about Jim.
I'm honestly more interested in the whole Irish accent for Jim. Kind of a sense of irony, there.
I guess Duke made a reference to the last story
How many tucks was Jim pulling when he derailed on the mountain road
Can't get enough of this :) Gotto
I might do a remake of this and no I'm not going to remove it
Aw, don't worry about it now.
That's the problem with freight cars, they stop being troublesome
Also how many explosive trucks was Jim pulling to the mines
Where can I find the theme at 2:57 ?
What's the name of that piece of music at 14:31?
16:20 Argh you little troll! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
8:15 What the name of this theme and do you know where I can find it ?
Did he just say what the devil 3:45
yeah so?
You mean they DON'T stop being troublesome.
8:16 What is that music, I can't find out anywhere.
what is the music at 0:55
Read the description...
Why does Jim have a Scottish accent
Ask Chris Eden-Green. He was the one who voiced him back in the day.
It sound like Boomer from Tugs (of which to me it sounds more Irish)
Douglas: Och, Donnie, is that Jim I recall?
Donald: Aye, ya know, I recall Duncan too!
can you do jim the jinx in trainz
No because Jim would need to be modified without a cab
why?
@@beaubobozaki4989 because Jim had his cab removed at the end of the story and that would take a lot of editing
16:20
From minor to major.
ok at 6.02 as the trucks talk, one of them speak with a female voice, which implies that truck is female, get it?
A female truck? only in the ERS.
That truck sounds like miney (the mine engine)
@@dukethenarrowgaugeengine1685 we should get some female trucks in the actual show
What does jinxed mean?
It means bad luck
That's what he means dumbass
Ok i was only trying to help
he was just trying to help he didn't know what jinxed me
