(The Grammys, Oscars, ect.)

I really love this Renaissance period for Fraser, because I do believe he is one of the "good" ones in Hollywood, and if there's anyone deserving of the lead role in The Whale it's definitely him. I feel like the character of Charlie was conjured out of a mirroring of his own self, which is benevolent, humbled, tortured but optimistic. And I can't wait to see what he has for us next.

It is very telling about this man’s character that he spends the whole interview praising everybody else other than himself. Brendan Fraser is a rare breed of movie star and I’m so happy he is back ❤

Hearing Brendan speak about the appreciation of the script, director, prosthetics, and his costars in such complimentary ways is so refreshing. He seems so genuine and like he really loved being in The Whale.
One thing I've seen consistent with his interviews is that he always calls out and praises the names of actors with whom he's worked with. He never just sits back and bathes in the praise the interviewer provides.
He was absolutely gorgeous when he was a young and ripped leading man, and he's still absolutely gorgeous as an older man because that infectious adorable smile and obviously sweet personality shone through both. It's so wonderful to see him having this career resurgence and seeing the love and respect he deserves!

I was so sad that The Journey to the Center of the Earth flopped because it was a decent movie and his co-star Anita Briem left her role on The Tudors as Jane Seymour to star in it. It destroyed her career, very sad because she's a talented and beautiful actor.

His last appearance in Scrubs, when you realise the reality (even though I'd spotted something was off) completely broke me. He kinda got lumbered and typecast with dumb comedy and action roles but he was always so much better than that. It's great to see him in something where he can show that again.

Loved Brendan since the mid 90s and it's wonderful to see him back in a great role, he is more than George of the Jungle. He's had some tough times not because he was a fault for anything and hopefully this lovely guy will now get more roles.
He will ALWAYS be Rick from the Mummy series to me, I dont know how many times ive watched those B movie wonders as a kid but i will say Bedazzled is Amazing, though i shouldnt have watched that as a kid.
My first introduction to him was Encino Man. Loved that movie when I was younger. Also loved Airheads, The Mummy series, Bedazzled and Blast From the Past.
It's been incredible seeing him regain his confidence. It seems like three years ago he was incredibly quiet and kept to himself, and now that he's back on interview circuits he's slowly opening up more and more, but still retaining that gentle kindness he's had all along. Good lord what a man.

He makes me want to watch it 💛 my dad is actually 600 lbs and was actually more active than you'd think but it definitely caused tension in our relationship. I think my struggles with it - not wanting to make my father to feel ashamed but also wanting him to be around longer and him to be able to continue canoeing and running like he used to love. It was hard. I'm sure they both captured their roles well enough that I'll sit this movie out but happy to see him back ❤️

It’s not always the individual who is at fault for their weight and illness. As a nurse I often find that there are so many challenges to changing lifestyle habits. It often is due to poverty and displacement and depression. Thank you for shedding light on a persons struggles with weight and the isolation a man can go through.

Mental Health & Addiction are two areas that we as a society & community are still failing, we are just not putting enough money & time into them. Food addiction is a real addiction, I know because I had it. I have been overweight most of my life & it wasn't until I worked on my addiction to food that I began to see results, lose weight & keep it off. For people with kids, two jobs, not enough money coming in, loads of bills, medical issues etc it can be really hard to tackle such an addiction, there needs to be more money & resources put into these areas to assist people. My sister is a nurse so I know what nurses have to deal with on a daily basis for stuff all pay & no recognition so let me end this by saying a massive thank you for everything you do! Nurses really are the superhero's in our world!
My parents would guilt me into eating more as a kid which lead to an unhealthy weight. My dad would gaslight me into finishing off his food because 'we're poor and it can't go to waste' even if I didn't want to eat. My husband taught me that I didn't have to eat all of my meals if I didn't want to and I'm a lot healthier for it.
In 2000 I strapped Brendan into the backseat of a USAF Thunderbird F-16... a large and humble dude. 22 years later I met him at a FanExpo in Dallas to have him sign the picture of me buckling him into said F-16. He looked up and said, "It's you! It's you!" We chatted briefly as he recalled, "You gave me my barf bag!" I saw THE WHALE at Austin Film Festival 2022 - he's absolutely AMAZING!!

This guy is so humble. Even when he's asked about his achievements, he's not talking about himself, he's mentioning all the people that he was working with. I'm really rediscovering Brendan Fraser. I'm just so ashamed that so many years had to pass for me to appreciate him.
This is truly what being humble and appreciative looks like at its finest moments. Brendan is special guy, very relatable and kind of nerdy and goofy (but in a great way that’d we never see from Leo or Brad).
I saw this and was in awe. Fraser is very endearing and believable in it but I want to say that Hong Chau's performance is really something else. She is an enabler without saying or recognizing her role that she plays in his destruction. It's really incredible.

What I really love about seeing Brendan Fraser is the genuine love and passion he shows. When he is listening and reacting to Seth you can see there is a genuine happiness to be having this interaction. He just seems like such a lovely man. And I am SO happy that he is getting the high praise. Brendan's movies from George of the Jungle to the Mummy movies were films I grew up with. I would watch the vhs of the mummy over and over. @@Brinta3 That's not right at all. In British English saying something is a sight for sore eyes is something that is very pleasant to see. It's the same in both countries - the pleasing/beautiful subject makes the eyes feel better.

I love how Brendan's nerves faded away as Seth brought up fun times they had together. Every day should be make Brendan smile day.
His short lived time on Scrubs was some of the most joyous and heartbreaking TV ever made. Great actor and fantastic person!
His last appearance in Scrubs, when you realise the reality (even though I'd spotted something was off) completely broke me. He kinda got lumbered and typecast with dumb comedy and action roles but he was always so much better than that. It's great to see him in something where he can show that again.
We're rewatching scrubs and just recently watched those episodes! They're so good and he makes it so good as Ben.

I love how he is here, he looks great, you can tell he’s a little timid but excited, it’s so refreshing to see on a talk show. And I’m so happy to see him stepping out into the public. Nothing but love for that man
Loved Brendan since the mid 90s and it's wonderful to see him back in a great role, he is more than George of the Jungle. He's had some tough times not because he was a fault for anything and hopefully this lovely guy will now get more roles.
I loved him in Encino Man. But, maybe because it made me so nostalgic for the SF Valley.
I've lost count of how many times I've watched Bedazzled.
Huh. Who cares about George of the Jungle? Bedazzled is a TREASURE and he should’ve be forever revered for it!
He will ALWAYS be Rick from the Mummy series to me, I dont know how many times ive watched those B movie wonders as a kid but i will say Bedazzled is Amazing, though i shouldnt have watched that as a kid.
My first introduction to him was Encino Man. Loved that movie when I was younger. Also loved Airheads, The Mummy series, Bedazzled and Blast From the Past.
It's been incredible seeing him regain his confidence. It seems like three years ago he was incredibly quiet and kept to himself, and now that he's back on interview circuits he's slowly opening up more and more, but still retaining that gentle kindness he's had all along. Good lord what a man.
He is so humble and kind-hearted, one can't help but loving him!

He talked more about other people than himself, constantly saying "we". That's like the complete opposite of most other actors.
I absolutely LOVE that Seth gave Brendan the space to speak!

He makes me want to watch it 💛 my dad is actually 600 lbs and was actually more active than you'd think but it definitely caused tension in our relationship. I think my struggles with it - not wanting to make my father to feel ashamed but also wanting him to be around longer and him to be able to continue canoeing and running like he used to love. It was hard. I'm sure they both captured their roles well enough that I'll sit this movie out but happy to see him back ❤️
I've always noticed with his interviews Brendan always gives praise to his co-stars/film staff and never brags on himself. He's a treasure, and I'm so glad he's making movies again!

This was the best interview I have seen in a long time. Seth let him speak with out interrupting him and he was listening intently by his follow up comments and questions. I loved the movie. Well worth the recognition it is getting.

If we're going to support any actor in Hollywood's career by going to their movies, I feel like this is a guy that we should do it with. He's just so humble and you can just feel he has had a hard journey in the film world/life in general.

This man deserves all the love and appreciation he’s been giving. He gave one of the best performances I’ve seen in The Whale. I’m glad he got the Golden Globe nomination (even though he understandably won’t attend). But I REALLY want him to at LEAST get the Oscar nomination

It’s not always the individual who is at fault for their weight and illness. As a nurse I often find that there are so many challenges to changing lifestyle habits. It often is due to poverty and displacement and depression. Thank you for shedding light on a persons struggles with weight and the isolation a man can go through.
Thank you .I used to be an extremely good looking slim fit toxic person but was living in Chaos struggling with mental health issues….now on the right medications and therapy I’m a successful, happy mother of 2, but struggling with weight issues from the medication I’m on.

Mental Health & Addiction are two areas that we as a society & community are still failing, we are just not putting enough money & time into them. Food addiction is a real addiction, I know because I had it. I have been overweight most of my life & it wasn't until I worked on my addiction to food that I began to see results, lose weight & keep it off. For people with kids, two jobs, not enough money coming in, loads of bills, medical issues etc it can be really hard to tackle such an addiction, there needs to be more money & resources put into these areas to assist people. My sister is a nurse so I know what nurses have to deal with on a daily basis for stuff all pay & no recognition so let me end this by saying a massive thank you for everything you do! Nurses really are the superhero's in our world!
My parents would guilt me into eating more as a kid which lead to an unhealthy weight. My dad would gaslight me into finishing off his food because 'we're poor and it can't go to waste' even if I didn't want to eat. My husband taught me that I didn't have to eat all of my meals if I didn't want to and I'm a lot healthier for it.
Oh stfu. Stop making excuses for these people. I've been poor and depressed and I'm not obese.

What I love about this show is that the interviews seem so much less scripted and cropped compared to other late night shows.
In 2000 I strapped Brendan into the backseat of a USAF Thunderbird F-16... a large and humble dude. 22 years later I met him at a FanExpo in Dallas to have him sign the picture of me buckling him into said F-16. He looked up and said, "It's you! It's you!" We chatted briefly as he recalled, "You gave me my barf bag!" I saw THE WHALE at Austin Film Festival 2022 - he's absolutely AMAZING!!
This man is getting back to the man we knew. Not only his looks. Which is great. He’s looking great. But just him and his spirit. I’m happy to see him again
I love listening to him talk. He's so earnest and compassionate and thoughtful. There's a vulnerability in his voice that instantly forms a human connection with me. And he obviously has a deep love for filmmaking.
I really hope this sparks a comeback for him. I can't think of an actor that deserves it more.

Why am smiling the entire time watching this? Gods and Monsters is one of my favirite movies. I was blown away by it.
Seeing him back with life back in his eyes and confidence back in his walk has me on the verge on tears for the entire interview.

This is truly what being humble and appreciative looks like at its finest moments. Brendan is special guy, very relatable and kind of nerdy and goofy (but in a great way that’d we never see from Leo or Brad).
I saw this and was in awe. Fraser is very endearing and believable in it but I want to say that Hong Chau's performance is really something else. She is an enabler without saying or recognizing her role that she plays in his destruction. It's really incredible.
I can't help but smile every time I see Brendan and the happiness on his face as the world adores him. I'm so happy for his epic comeback and how everyone is on board with him. He really and truly deserves it.

Wasn't 100% sure if I'd be watching The Whale, but after listening to Brendan talk about it and his experience filming it, I'll go get cinema tickets for it when it releases here in Germany. Man I missed seeing Brendan Fraser! I still love watching The Mummy, it is one of my fav movies. I wonder why he disappeared for so long and what made him come back now. I hope he wins an Oscar for his portrayal in this new movie. Looks really deep and created with lots of care.
What I really love about seeing Brendan Fraser is the genuine love and passion he shows. When he is listening and reacting to Seth you can see there is a genuine happiness to be having this interaction. He just seems like such a lovely man. And I am SO happy that he is getting the high praise. Brendan's movies from George of the Jungle to the Mummy movies were films I grew up with. I would watch the vhs of the mummy over and over.

Look at Brendan, unlike so many others he's not talking about himself but praising his co-stars, praising people who worked on the film - really shows a person's character when they're given the opportunity to rattle on about how much work it was for them, how much they prepared etc and they take the opportunity instead to praise their colleagues when, really, they don't *have* to.
