    would you recommend delivering a cake with a spacer in like your cake or adding the last tier at the location?

      @CakeStyleTV  9 років тому +1

      +Valerie Morales Most of the time I set out the top tier with a spacer, or just anything over 3 tiers.

    Just discovered your channel and am currently binge watching everything! Love it so much! Could you please tell me what the diameter is of your cake turntable? I'm looking to buy one that's as wide but the ones I've found online seem to be much smaller...

    Sooooo much thanks for your tutorial i was looking for how to cover a hexagon cake with fondant for a loooong time. Thanks again for sharing, and all your explanation which is very clear. Never disappointed on watching your tutorial. I'm from Mauritius a very little tiny island in the India ocean, it's very difficult to have a cake decoration course here,it cost a lot so all your tutorial is so much helpful. And I think your Channel is the best on YOU TUBE. Keep it up.

    I've been struggling to cover a cake with fondant...then I tried your technique, and it worked! Thanks so much for sharing your trick of the trade! (although I still need some practice :))
    Just one question, if the fondant is dry on the top edges of the cake, what is wrong? Was the fondant stretched too much over the side? And how can I prevent it from happening?

    • @CakeStyleTV
      @CakeStyleTV  10 років тому +1

      Louisa Joubert It's just a speed thing, and will get less and less with time. Also, colours do it more often than white. I just rub a lot on the edges if that's the case prior to sharpening. Light pressure, but it does help. xo

    I notice that all the professionals seem to use really dense cake and stiff icing. Why is that or does it just appear like that on film? You are a great cake decorator and an excellent teacher. Thanks for the exceptional tutorial.

    • @CakeStyleTV
      @CakeStyleTV  9 років тому

    Is the jam syrup just a sugar syrup or is it different if it is different how come you don't just use sugar syrup?

    • @CakeStyleTV
      @CakeStyleTV  8 років тому +1

      +Keisha Morgan It's jam and water, recipe on our website www.cakestyle.tv/recipe-box. It's an old fashioned thing to do, and I've been making cakes for 15 years so it's just what I'm used to.
