    I made this for my moms 50th birthday! First time I’ve ever piped anything and it turned out really pretty. I also used her suggested buttercream recipe, worked out great and was really tasty!

      It's way harder to lighten a frosting, than it is to darken it, do it the other way around.

    You people are so helpful.. I recently learned basic cake making made some good cakes. But seriously people out there are very arrogant and rude. I asked her why we don't add cake gel in muffins and she said me to stop asking irrelevant questions. I was so hurt because I paid her huge money just to listen to that. I was suppose to join her fondant classes but now I feel scared to do so. I loved this I want to try my hands on my own. Is it possible to learn without any classes? If there was a payment method on youtube I would pay you guys instead because we don't have good baking teachers here.. You also have tutorials on how to make perfect tasting butter cream frosting, fondants etc?

    • @CakeStyleTV
      @CakeStyleTV  9 років тому +5

      BeautyBlessed Oh, please don't be disheartened! There is something to learn from everyone I believe. Go to the class, and just see. I know it's hard when people are rude, but you may just learn one thing that changes everything. If you are going to be too stressed, then don't, but I really believe that you need to make this about you and your path, and ignore her rude statement.
      We are going to run a few classes in Australia, and we have been talking about the US. If you know anywhere that holds classes, and hosts guest people, we would love to visit! Much love, and chin up. You will be great. Remember, Jon has never taken a cake class, and I've only done one fruit cake and fondant class 14 years ago. We are 100% self taught. Most things, we've never even seen someone else do. It's just what we figured out along the way.

    Hi. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for this great tutorial and great buttercream recipe. I have tired multipletimes making this same exact cake design but the frosting that I was using cause my flowers to fall no matter how stiff or soft the recipe was but with your buttercream I was able to make the roses and keep them on. And it was so creamy that coating the cake was a breeze. Again thank you so much for sharing :-)

      Practice makes perfect! I have faith that you will be able to make a beautiful cake! :) Remember, you are your own worst critic. What may not seem perfect in your eyes, will almost always seem perfect to others, especially when it comes to cake decorating! I am a perfectionist at heart, and am never 100% satisfied with my work, I always tend to see the tiny minor "flaws" nobody would ever see or notice themselves. Cake decorating is one of those things that seems impossible to most people, so I find that it isn't too difficult to impress them! ;) Good luck, I'm sure you'll do awesome!

    This is absolutely gorgeous!! It's the most perfect rosette cake tutorial I've watched!! I've also see rosette cakes with pearls... How would you apply them - with tweezers?

      Queen Cleo Yes, I've done that before. Just make sure you do it straight away when the buttercream is still soft.
