I made this for my moms 50th birthday! First time I’ve ever piped anything and it turned out really pretty. I also used her suggested buttercream recipe, worked out great and was really tasty!
I have watched a dozen or so videos, yours is the best and your rosettes are perfect, and neat, not at all sloppy like some I have watched..perfect! Thank you...Janine
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I just used this technique on my cake I just done! Your tutorials helped me gain confidence to start my own channel! Thank you so much!! 💗🎀❤
+chelsea strutt I can't reply to yours. Your settings must be on private, as I can only thumbs up or down to your comments. If you change your settings, people can reply.
This cake is so pretty. I love how there were no gaps in between roses. In other videos they show u how to fill in the gaps. But she was flawless and the cake looks amazing.
would love to see a video on how you even made the base part of the cake with smoothing the icing out and everything! I'm a beginner just started watching videos on how to make these cakes so everything is super helpful, but i need the basics first!
It's beautiful indeed.Tomorrow's my birthday and I am making a rosette cake for myself for our family gathering. Am hoping it turns out beautiful too. Thanks for your guidance.
hi...I have an order to make a cake like this for someone n it is my first time using this design n technique. I am confident now as I watched this video...I love the way u explained everything step by step....thank you!!!
Beautiful. I will be making this exact cake for my daughter's 1st birthday next month. I was originally going to pay someone to make this but after watching I can totally do this myself. Thank you :)
Thank you so much for showing in detail how this is done many video's just decorate the cake without explaining anything. GREAT instruction well done and thank you for sharing x x x
You people are so helpful.. I recently learned basic cake making made some good cakes. But seriously people out there are very arrogant and rude. I asked her why we don't add cake gel in muffins and she said me to stop asking irrelevant questions. I was so hurt because I paid her huge money just to listen to that. I was suppose to join her fondant classes but now I feel scared to do so. I loved this I want to try my hands on my own. Is it possible to learn without any classes? If there was a payment method on youtube I would pay you guys instead because we don't have good baking teachers here.. You also have tutorials on how to make perfect tasting butter cream frosting, fondants etc?
BeautyBlessed Oh, please don't be disheartened! There is something to learn from everyone I believe. Go to the class, and just see. I know it's hard when people are rude, but you may just learn one thing that changes everything. If you are going to be too stressed, then don't, but I really believe that you need to make this about you and your path, and ignore her rude statement. We are going to run a few classes in Australia, and we have been talking about the US. If you know anywhere that holds classes, and hosts guest people, we would love to visit! Much love, and chin up. You will be great. Remember, Jon has never taken a cake class, and I've only done one fruit cake and fondant class 14 years ago. We are 100% self taught. Most things, we've never even seen someone else do. It's just what we figured out along the way.
Thank You for your videos they are well done! Just a couple questions...........what does ombre mean? Also what kind of cake recipe do you use? Happy Birthday to your lovely mother!!
Hi. I just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for this great tutorial and great buttercream recipe. I have tired multipletimes making this same exact cake design but the frosting that I was using cause my flowers to fall no matter how stiff or soft the recipe was but with your buttercream I was able to make the roses and keep them on. And it was so creamy that coating the cake was a breeze. Again thank you so much for sharing :-)
I've made this a couple of times and its always a hit but dang its super sweet with all that buttercream! Ive started using whipped cream frosting instead! Less intense!
I was wondering what kind of cake (and decoration) I will do for my grandma's birthday, and now that I watched your video, I'm so in to do the same!! Thank you!! You are amazing!! Regards from France!! ♡
I did this for my 3 yr daughter and it came out so beautiful!!! She loved it, she was so happy that she cried when we cut it lol thank you for sharing, you explained so well and it was easy to follow
Beautiful! I am not "artistically inclined" (I seriously cannot even draw stick people), but thanks to your informative video I am now inspired to try this myself!
Thanks for the video, it was great! I was wondering - would it be possible to pre-pipe the rosettes, then freeze them and apply them to the cake as you would buttercream flowers? Or does the curvature of the sides make this impossible? Thanks again, I'm enjoying learning from you!
Practice makes perfect! I have faith that you will be able to make a beautiful cake! :) Remember, you are your own worst critic. What may not seem perfect in your eyes, will almost always seem perfect to others, especially when it comes to cake decorating! I am a perfectionist at heart, and am never 100% satisfied with my work, I always tend to see the tiny minor "flaws" nobody would ever see or notice themselves. Cake decorating is one of those things that seems impossible to most people, so I find that it isn't too difficult to impress them! ;) Good luck, I'm sure you'll do awesome!
Thank you so much for the video! It is exactly the type of cake I plan to make for my daughter's first BD. May I ask if I should put it in the fridge as I will need to make it the day before the BD? If it is in the fridge, will it absorb other smell from the other food?Thank you again!
im def gonna try this out when i make my smash cake for my baby cousin this month! gonna use whipped cream w a bit of cream cheese and adding pink, so i hope it will turn out as good ^^
I'm attempting this for my daughters 1st birthday smash cake! :D She's only getting A slice though! Thank you for an excellent tutorial, really easy to follow and you're so clear with all of your explanations.

@Sonny Elliot Yup, been watching on flixzone for since march myself :)
@Sonny Elliot Thanks, signed up and it seems to work :) I appreciate it !
@Immanuel Forest happy to help =)
Color your bc once. Get your darkest shade then just keep adding white and you only need one bowl. One bag. One tip.
Becky Benitez thanks
It's way harder to lighten a frosting, than it is to darken it, do it the other way around.
Awesome tips!!!
Thanks for the tips.
Wow great tip
never seen this cake before, its beautiful. like your presentation style
yes andrea you can, but just making sure it's buttercream, as other icings can melt.
