Smokey engines usually means you aren't burning fuel efficiently... Wonder why they never bothered improving the engines on the MiG-29. Probably could have gotten better fuel efficiency and removed the "look at me!" smoke trail. Then again this is Russia we're talking about, so they probably just couldn't do it even if they wanted to. Mikoyan really fell off towards the end of the Soviet era. Now Sukhoi is running the show with their Su-35 that is really just the Su-27SM from the 90s that no one wanted to buy. 20 years later just change the number and all of a sudden everyone is interested again!
Thanks for including the raw footage. That smoke on takeoff is madness!!
Thank you for the support!
Thanks for taking us on this ride and sharing the great memories!

Omfg... 5:47 that is so friggin bad...
MiG builds planes, but its engines are built by another manufacturer. The MiG-35, an upgraded MiG-29, has smokeless engines
Its already been retired......its also known as the smoking bandit
Russkies simple dont care abaut this optics, does the engine smoke or not.Who cares?lol
Just means inefficient burning of fuel so..
