I'm so glad to have been introduced to the series "The Chosen." I am Catholic, but sometimes I lose sight of my faith and what really matters. For me this show reminds me of Jesus's great love for all of us and Jesus's willingness to forgive and heal. We just need to be willing. Jonathan Roumie and all the cast do such a wonderful job bringing the stories to life in such a relatable and moving way. I find myself crying watching many of the episodes. We need more tv like this. Thank you to everyone who is a part of this series.
I love the show …you portray a Jesus I could love. It has help me be proud of being a Catholic. Thank You Johnathan for sharing the best parts of being a Catholic. So many people have miss understanding…including those close to me. God Bless and protect you from all the challenges you face!
The Chosen series truly has become a vessel for me to appreciate the story of Jesus' mission and the characters' depiction of transcended devotion and conviction to carry out the mission, which is redemption and salvation of humankind!! Thanks to the whole crew who made this possible to the pesent world we are living in...
You are not saved by your Catholic good works you are saved by the grace of God by being born again in Jesus name while repenting and serving him for the rest of your life. Jonathan should know better since he played Jesus that Catholicism is a works righteousness religion, its the works of man and not the works of God and he believes he earns salvation through his good works. The bible tells us we are not saved by our religious good works we are saved by the blood of Jesus through Grace and grace alone - a free gift none of us can earn.

I agree with you Jonathan. The partaking of the Eucharist I have longed for since my journey began over 9 months ago. I was baptized 4/3/2021 and now, I can receive the Eucharist. Already, one day I got very angry with a elevator situation at my apt. and said things I shouldn't have. I was so concerned I could not accept the sacrament then, though my sponsor reminded me of the Confessor prayer, sternly telling me to work on maintaining 'calm' amid anger. Valid point. The feeling of not being able to take the Eucharist was very disheartening and a great motivator to work on anger.. something not of God. God bless!!

Love Catholics despite our doctrinal disagreements. My favorite thing about being a non-denominational Christian with a Charismatic upbringing is that my entire life and body are a flaming temple of the Holy Ghost and I can His Spirit burning and churning in me and all around me at all times. Granted I I consistently live in obedience and relationship to Jesus and walk out a Holy Life. Catholics would consider my walk to be that of one of the mystics. I love teaching people how it's done. And with that said I would LOVE to partake in the Eucharist with the Catholic church. I absolutely consider them the brethren.

@@jesusisgod2953 Well, your understanding of the things you are writing about is very limited, build probably on what you heard from people who don't have any real idea either. I'm not writing this to humiliate or criticise you, I thought so also in the past. First av all, catholic church comes in the straight line from Jesus. It means something I guess. Second, every eucharist is participating in the same offer and resurrection of Christ. Third, catholic church doesn't preach that you can be saved by works. You are saved only by grace, but your faith without works is dead, and these claims are 100% biblical. Fourth, we do not pray to someone else than God Himself. If we pray "to" saints, it means we pray WITH them, asking them to pray for us, as you can ask your friend for a prayer. Fifth, Mary being sinless and other Mary-related issues are a problem for me as a catholic, too. That doesn't mean they aren't true or that they make the catholic Church false. On the other hand, there is no other institution in history with more competent biblical scholars than cc, so I assume that they probably know better, even if I cannot directly see that in the Scriptures. There are many things in the Bible that have to be assumed also, and read with deep understanding of the context that ordinary people do not have. Last, catholic Church isn't and will never be perfect. We are people on our way. There are many misunderstandings among catholics, especially cradle catholics about the faith, because it's easy to assume that you already know everything and not develop your faith and understanding. I'm just sorry for anyone learning about catholic faith from this kind of catholics. Bless you 🙏
@@KattBB The catholic church did not come from Jesus but man. The Lord's supper symbolises the sacrifice on the cross. If catholics believe that the bread and blood are literally his flesh and literally his blood then they must also believe whoever eats the Lord's supper is saved since Christ said whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood has eternal life. So you don't get saved by accepting Christ but by taking the bread and wine. Based on the Roman catholic standard we could argue that Jesus is a literal door. We could also say he is a literal vine and we are literal branches with literal fruit coming off us. The Roman catholic "salvation" is unbiblical. Salvation, in Roman Catholicism, is a process with many steps: Actual Grace, Faith, Good Works, Baptism, Participation in the Sacraments, Penance, Indulgences, and Keeping the Commandments. Basically, salvation is attained through baptism and good works. It is maintained by good works and participation in the sacraments. If lost, it is regained through the sacrament of Penance which only a Roman Catholic priest can administer. Add to this purgatorial cleansing after a person dies, and you can see that salvation is an arduous process. In Catholicism, a person can gain salvation and lose it many times depending on the number of sins committed, their severity, and how much of the sacraments that they participate in-in order to regain grace which enables them to do good works by which they are justified. Furthermore, justifying grace is infused into the Catholic upon baptism and via the sacraments. This grace can be gradually lost through venial sins or forfeited all together with mortal sins. There is nothing we can do in any way to merit the forgiveness of God. All that we need has been accomplished in the person of Christ who was made under the law (Galatians 4:4) and fulfilled the law perfectly having never sinned (1 Pet. 2:22). Because of the work of Christ, we receive his righteousness (Phil. 3:9) by faith (Rom. 5:1). What the Roman Catholic Church does is add a huge burden of works by which a Roman Catholic attempts to attain, maintain, and regain salvation. It is a hopeless process because it cannot save. “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” (Rom. 3:28). “But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness,” (Rom. 4:5). “I do not nullify the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly,” (Gal. 2:21). “You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? 2 This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?” (Gal. 3:1-3). The addition of works to salvation invalidates salvation. Essentially, is saying that the work of God in flesh is not sufficient. This is why we have such verses that condemn salvation based on faith and works . . . “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'” (Matt. 7:22-23). “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer. 11 “The Pharisee stood and was praying thus to himself, ‘God, I thank Thee that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-gatherer. 12 ‘I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’ 13 “But the tax-gatherer, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 “I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, but he who humbles himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 18:10-14). In essence, the Roman Catholic is supposed to perform works under the Roman Catholic system of law . . . it cannot save. “Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you. 3 And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law,” (Gal. 5:2-3). “For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them,” (Gal. 3:10). “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all,” (James 2:10). God in his omniattributes of omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence can answer pray. The saints cant here you talking to them because they are not God. For you to think you can contact them like you can contact God is to attribute to them what belongs to God alone. Those that do so are blaspheming God and committing the abomination of necromancy. Concerning man, the Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Mary was a sinner. To deny this is to deny scripture. Mary also said in Luke 1:47, "my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." Mary need saving, Mary was a sinner. I judge the Roman catholic faith by scripture and it is for that reason alone that I am not a catholic. May God give you eyes to see.

Great show the Chosen, providing wonderful opportunities to discuss and dive into the scripture and study. The show actually has illuminated things in the gospel that some how after all my readings escaped my full understanding, like the fact that John was the Cousin of Jesus. I mean I knew that some how academically but watching the show made me realize: wow, John the Baptist is family, really family and may well have known Jesus as a child, growing up seeing Jesus at family events, been impacted by the Christ-child/ the Lamb of God. John's mom was the aunt of Jesus who is the Christ. Some how that familial relationship kind of escaped me all these years. It made me know how intimate and powerful the statement it was when John pronounced: Behold the Lamb of God! John had looked into the eyes of Jesus, perhaps many times before that day, known this powerful truth, preached it across the desert, and maybe the immensity of all of that great spiritual truth might have even made John the devout and curious person/prophet that he was. Interesting.
I'm so bummed I missed this LIVE. I wanted Matt to ask Jonathan Roumie if he had looked into Byzantine Catholics, especially Melkite Greek Catholics since Jonathan has Syrian-Egyptian heritage and he was baptized Greek Orthodox before his family moved to the Latin Catholic Church. Roumie is actually the Arabic word for "Byzantine", it refers to the Byzantine Rite Christians of what was the Eastern Roman Empire. Under Catholic canon law, he's legally Melkite if I'm not mistaken.
Yes Eucharist is something very precious in catholic. So I am very happy to hear from Jonathan. Thank you Lord Jesus for the for the gift of Eucharist to us.
@ Casey McKee, all you need to do is believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ , confess you are a sinner, and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. Ask Him to be your savior, and the Lord of your Life. That's all you need. Read John 3:16, Romans 10: 9&10 and Romans 10:13.

I don’t understand something about Catholicism, perhaps someone can explain to me. Where in Bible does it say we need to go to the Father through praying to Mary or Saint this or that? It says that the only way to the Father is through Christ. Also, the Saints or Virgin can not be seen as intercessors because the only one who intercedes for us is the Holy Spirit, so why do they pray to them?
Hello Mia, The Catholic church doesn't teach that we go to the father through Mary, it is one of the misconceptions of the Catholic faith, I'd rather say to Jesus through Mary ( I can give you the rosary for example which is not just saying Hail Mary, the rosary is the meditation of the life of Jesus through biblical mysteries : annunciation, visitation, nativity, flagellation of Jesus, crucifixion etc... ) Anyway. In the four verses immediately preceding 1 Timothy 2:5, Paul says that we ( followers of Christ ) should intercede: “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, *intercessions,* and thanksgivings be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and pleasing to God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim. 2:1-4). In romans 15:30 It is written "I beseech you . . . brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Holy Ghost, that you help me in your prayers for me to God." And James also declares: “The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects. Elijah was a man of like nature with ourselves and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit” (Jas. 5:16-18). It shows that we are all called to intercede for people. When a protestant asks his friend to pray for him, his friend doesn't replace Christ as mediator. Seems like when someone dies, if someone asks for the intercession of that person in the same way that he asks for the intercession of his living friend, it automatically replaces the place of Christ as mediator between men and God ? Isn't the problem rather with Death ? And the distinction between intercessory prayer and prayer in its strict sense reserved only for God ? If the saint was alive this time, will Protestants ask us the same ? Prayer isn't necessary equal to worship. Prayer comes from the Latin word precari, which means "ask", "beg", "entreat". It's making a request from someone else. When an atheist asks God "God give me a sign" he isn't worshipping God, he is just asking God to help him. When Bathsheba makes a request of King Solomon in I Kings 2:20, the KJV has her say: “I pray thee, say me not nay.” There was never a question here of whether the King James Bible was presenting Bathsheba as adoring her son as God, or praying to him in a way that is forbidden. We don't ask the saints in the same way that we pray to the Father, this can be seen clearly when we say "[name of the saint] pray for us". You don't ask God the Father to pray for you, who will He pray to ? Before Constantine, the entire "universal" ( Katholikos ) church in *any country* believed in the communion of saints, traces of these beliefs have been found in inscriptions on tombs from the earliest centuries, in the Roman catacombs ( we find graffiti and prayers of intercession ) Christians as Origene asked for the intercession of Peter and Paul and knew how to distinguish between intercessory prayers and prayer in its strictest sense reserved only to God, St Gregory Thaumaturgus addressed praise to the blessed Mother asking her to consider them worthy to made partakers of her perfect grace in Jesus Christ. St Gregory of *Nyssa* was addressing the Martyrs so that they pray for us against heresy and idolatry. St Ephrem the *Syrian* asked the Martyrs to pray with us to Christ. St Jerome asked the deceased Paula to pray to Jesus for him. St Augustine said that we did not pray for the martyrs but that we asked them to pray for us. Jesus teaches that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is “not of the dead, but of the living” (Matt. 22:32; see also 22:23-33) He also said "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." In addition, do you remember the episode of the transfiguration ? Moses was alive to Jesus and conversed with him not as "asleep" in the Sheol, even though his earthly death had occurred many years before. I can also add Rev 5:8 "[...] the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. (+ Rev 8:3; 6:9-10; ). In Rev 6:10 we see that the saints in heaven pray to God to avenge their blood, they are at least aware of what is happening on earth. I can also add when Jesus descended into hell to preach to the souls in prison, why would he preach to them If they were "asleep" or "unconscious". These verses show that those in heaven are praying or conscious. None of this would make any sense whatsoever if those in heaven were “dead” or “asleep.” The intercession of the angels is also shown in the vision of the Prophet Zacharias: “And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem… and the Lord answered the angel… good words, comfortable words” ( Zech 1:12-13 ) and in Tobit 12:12 when the archangel Raphael said to Tobias “When thou didst pray with tears. I offered thy prayer to the Lord”. The intercession of the dead for the living is clearly shown in 2 Maccabees 15:14 -17; an intercession on behalf of Israel by the late high priest Onias III plus that of Jeremiah, the prophet who died almost *400* years earlier. "And Onias spoke, saying, 'This is a man who loves the brethren and prays much for the people and the holy city, Jeremiah, the prophet of God.'" So Maccabeus has a vision of the deceased Jeremiah interceding for the people of Israel but maybe someone will say "no" about books of Maccabees... Well books of Maccabees are not in protestant Bible but the church has accepted these books since the beginning of Christianity, these books are historical documents and show a lot of evidence in the historical facts that we cannot omit their value, rejecting the inspiration and canonicity of the of Maccabees does not negate its historical value. Maccabees aids us in knowing, purely from an historical perspective at the very least, Jewish beliefs before the advent of Christ. This is the faith in which Jesus and the apostles were raised. And both books, which Protestants regard as "apocryphal", were recognized by the Fathers as inspired [and canonical at the Councils of Hippo (393) and Carthage (397, 419)] and were later [again] defined as canonical by the Council of Trent (1546). Anyway, I don't tell you to become catholic but at least to understand what we do
@@lonelyberg1808 thank you for your response. I understand we can intercede for our friends, but It’s my prayer directed straight to God through Jesus. I heard many catholic family members praying that The Virgin Mary will intercede for them. I understand we ask friends to pray for us, and yes we do it because they are still alive (although I have catholic uncles who when they visit my grandfather’s grave, they ask him to intercede for them) and we can directly speak with them. When I think of the saints, they were man and woman born in sin like all of us and when they die, they go to sleep until the day of judgement. These people are sleeping, they don’t hear, they don’t speak to God because they are sleeping, therefore why would I ask someone who is sleeping to pray for me? Thessalonians 4:13-18 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. ... In regards to the books of the Bible, God’s word is all authority and He is the authority who decides which books are included in The Book. Once again, thank you for taking the time to respond to my questions. God Bless you.
@@miafresprit You are He is the authority and the bible did not compile itself, it is the Catholic Church which compiled your bible thanks to the tradition of the church and the holy spirit
@@lonelyberg1808 The Roman Catholic Church did not give us the Bible. God gave us the Bible, and He used the witnesses of the various churches to secure for us those books that would be profitable for our instruction. After the apostles died, some of the churches wrote to men who personally had known and been taught by the apostles and asked them for guidance. These churches were independent of one another. There was no central control out of Rome or out of any other church. But there was deference given to certain local churches because of their unique positions (Jerusalem, Alexandria, Rome). So, the claim that the Catholic Church compile the Bible is not true except to the extent that late in church history, in the middle of the 16th century, the Roman Catholic Church officially decreed that the New Testament consisted of the 27 books that it and all other churches had already been using for over 1,000 years. (The Roman Catholic Church decreed in the Council of Trent, around 1550 A.D., which books they would accept in Scripture.) The Old Testament and New Testament books were already well established and used in the various churches long before the Roman Catholic church ever decreed that the books we have today should be viewed as sacred Scripture. The decision as to which books should be part of Scripture was not a decree by a church, whether Roman or another, but rather a recognition of which books were broadly accepted and used throughout the various churches.
What is a Eucharist? I don’t have any idea about being a Catholic it all just seems too confusing to me. I wasn’t raised Catholic and I don’t know anyone who is so I can’t ask questions
Eucharist means thanksgiving. It is the communion meal where we eat and drink the body and blood of Christ under the forms of bread and wine. Read John chapter 6 as well as the Last Supper accounts in the synoptic Gospels. Read 1 Corinthians 10:16-17. Also, read Exodus 24:8-11, especially verse 11. God Bless.
Katie...may I suggest you find & watch any video by Dr. Brant Pitre. He has a video for almost every question you may have about Catholicism, especially the Eucharist (Communion. )
The Roman Catholic Eucharist is unbiblical and unholy. The Bible does not teach a priest can call down Jesus, turn him into a piece of bread to be continually offered up as an unbloody sacrifice. They also preach a false works based gospel, claiming Mary was sinless, that you can pray to those that are not God, the blasphemy goes on.
@@jesusisgod2953 quiet your nonsense. I’ve seen you repost this ridiculous reply on many comments on this channel, please leave with your falsities and stop spouting lies about the Eucharist. @@mcspankey4810 The Roman catholic religion is false. Your religion claims that the bread and wine are literally Jesus's flesh and blood. This is going to destroy your religion, do you know why? Because Jesus said whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood HAS (PRESENT TENSE) ETERNAL LIFE. So based on your faulty reading of the Bible, anyone who eats the Lord supper will saved. What's painfully obvious in every comment section about Jesus, is arguments on interpretation and practices or non practices hence confusion and wars in the past. Ironically enough in God's name. Why can't we stick to the commandments, sin less, forgive each other and love each other. Too much ego and over zealous religiousness in the sections. Keep it simple people. LOVE AND SPIRITUAL LAW

God designed our world so that everything would exist in perfect harmony. He made humankind in His image, so that we had the capacity to worship Him and walk with Him. Because God created you, He loves you. You exist to glorify Him in a real relationship.Mankind has rebelled against God, choosing to live for ourselves instead of for Him. This rebellion, called sin, has come between us and God. This sin brings about brokenness in our personal lives, our relationships, and also our world. Not only has it separated us from Him and His perfect design, it also brings judgment and death.Because God loves us, He sent His only son Jesus to rescue us from our sins. The Bible says that “God shows his love for us in that while we were sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross as payment for our sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead. His resurrection proves that God has accepted Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins. Believe in Him and go to Jesus in faith and trust in Him and trust in Him for salvation and repent of your sins and He will hear from Heaven and forgive you of your sins and save you from all sin and from death and from the enemy and from the wrath of God that's against sin.

The catholic church did not come from Jesus but man.

The Eucharist is our medicine of immortality. I love that Jesus gave us a gift that were can see and revere and kneel before and worship.

Watch his channels when he does live stream q&a's. You could then ask him there. Good luck and God bless.

Hello Mia, The Catholic church doesn't teach that we go to the father through Mary, it is one of the misconceptions of the Catholic faith, I'd rather say to Jesus through Mary ( I can give you the rosary for example which is not just saying Hail Mary, the rosary is the meditation of the life of Jesus through biblical mysteries : annunciation, visitation, nativity, flagellation of Jesus, crucifixion etc... )
Anyway.
22:32; see also 22:23-33)
He also said "I am the resurrection and the life. None of this would make any sense whatsoever if those in heaven were “dead” or “asleep.”
The intercession of the angels is also shown in the vision of the Prophet Zacharias: “And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem… and the Lord answered the angel… good words, comfortable words” ( Zech 1:12-13 ) and in Tobit 12:12 when the archangel Raphael said to Tobias “When thou didst pray with tears.
"And Onias spoke, saying, 'This is a man who loves the brethren and prays much for the people and the holy city, Jeremiah, the prophet of God.'"
So Maccabeus has a vision of the deceased Jeremiah interceding for the people of Israel but maybe someone will say "no" about books of Maccabees...
Thessalonians 4:13-18
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
@@miafresprit and I have a question, do you think that when we die, we are directly judged or that we are "asleep" until the resurrection ?
@@lonelyberg1808
The Roman Catholic Church did not give us the Bible.

2. Catholic exalted Mary and worships her - U can deny all u want but the prayers " Hail Holy queen " and " Hail Mary full of Grace " says everything. She's not a queen and divine according to scriptures. She's is just as normal human being in need of savior.
3. Changed the Sabbath day from saturday to sunday
And so on. In the old testament changing the words of God is punishable by death. If Catholic Church was found in the time of Moses, The popes would've been beheaded. Stop defending the doctrines of Catholic church.
Jonathan has a really lot of rosaries
Is the producer and the rest of the cast Catholic as well?
Dallas Jenkins is an Evangelical Christian.
I love "The Chosen" and pray for its purpose to come to fruition.
Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me". The sacrifice was at the cross. He said it's done. Lord, I pray that Jonathan will be unburdened by false doctrine. I pray that the RCC reform practices of deifying priests and a mortal woman both as intercessors and imbued powers to forgive sins. I pray that LDS be awakened with the all-sufficiency of Jesus Christ and His Word as they have allowed their movie set to be used in "The Chosen". Wouldn't it be miraculous if all of our blindness was healed to the glory of God?

Changing the 10 commandments isn't the religion of truth.
There are many Jesus that exists nowadays which is a prophecy. Jesus of Catholic, Mormones, Muslims, Jehovah and many more. But which of these Jesus' is actually the true savior?
The answer Jesus of the Bible. Any religion that contradicts the Bible is false. And Catholicism is guilty of this.
@@jonsart5643 how is Jesus in Catholic different from Protestant
@@Kanjiro.D
Not different from protestant. But different from the Bible.
* Jesus is the only mediator with God in the Bible. But Catholics included Mary and the other Saints as mediator to God.
* Jesus Followed the Sabbath as Saturday. But Catholics Changed it to Sunday.
* Jesus said, when u pray don't be repetitive. Because even before u start to pray, God already knows ur need.
But Catholics in Sunday Mass keeps on repeating prayers over and over again.
@@jonsart5643 I mean how is there Jesus different

Great answer! If I had to pick a second favorite it is the love of the Virgin Mary the mother of God and our mother. The total disregard I see from my born again family to our blessed mother truly breaks my heart and I would defend her to the death as I would my mother.
I’m getting Mel Gibson vibes from this guy
I don't see other Jesus actors getting asked: " So what's your favorite thing about being Protestant?"
💯💯👍🕯🙏🕯🙏
I wonder if he can speak Arabic
I like that he said he enjoyed playing a heroin addict 😂
Jonathon has played both Jesus and a heroin addict. I think besides acting all of us can make the decision to be more like Jesus in how we are.
(Romans 5,6,7,8, John 3:16, 1 John 1:9). I'll be praying for you to come to know the true God of all and experience His true love and Holy Spirit and salvation and i pray you'll go to Him and get saved Amen in Jesus name

Amen 🙏🏼
The religious institution u reject is the one that introduced the world to the faith

@@crossbearer6453 No sir. The true Church of Jesus Christ was never, never is and will never be Roman Catholic. His true Church is all the body of chosen believers who recognize Him as their sole Head, no Popes neither any apostolic succesor. Truth is, the Catholicism helped to preserve the holy Scripture and to spread, somehow, the Gospel. But it also hid the knowledge to the people, mistified the faith in a syncretic blend of paganism and christianity, and devouted to enrich itself and control kings. That was never the purpose of the Gospel.

Once upon a time I was a Roman Catholic. But I was born again and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I do not need the sacraments and other intercessors for this. Jesus himself said that no one goes to the Father except through Him. And not by praying to the saints, his mother. You cannot elevate people / pictures / figures above a mighty God. This is idolatry.
Looks like you left the catholicism without really know what is it about. Blessings.
The saints don’t go straight to God , they go to Jesus who goes to God
So Catholics are still right
DOES ANYONE OTHER THAN ME FIND THE SERIE " THE CHOSEN " missleading ? It

Oh really....that's good to know, because I left the Catholic Church 25 years ago, and am much more comfortable, and in relationship with Yeshua in a Protestant setting. I cried at Season 1's "He called me by name", so maybe it's ok for me to watch.

I know what I'm talking about.
Of course they added some scripts to give more life to the Characters. Even if they didn't say it, it's pretty obvious. But that doesn't mean they are not following the scriptures.
If u want to watch a specific versed Movie with no additional script and so on, there is also one. But I find it hard to relate as I feel i'm just reading the Gospel all Jhon all over again.
This Series gives us a new feeling. Not the feeling of changing the scriptures, but the feeling of how they must have lived their life in more details than what the scriptures provided.
why are catcholics talking denominations.. Rather follow Jesus and his teachings. Jesus is present in spirit within us.. We are the temple of the holy spirit.
@eunico because they don’t all believe the same thing. The Catholic Church was established by Jesus with Simon Peter as the first pope. We follow not only the Bible but the sacred traditions established through generations traced back to Jesus. As hard as a teaching or belief may be to some, we choose to follow them all.
And see how “ the temple” tend to mess up and spew false doctrine
Including when the decide to break from “ religion”
Catholics need to speak truth to history and stop cowering to Protestants
