My favorite pair on the show is Andrew and Simon.
Jesus is Lord! He paid for your sins! By the way, we were all sinners. (that’s our nature without God) Jesus died a very bad death for you. He was nailed to a cross. God (YAHWEH) wants your heart because He loves you. Jesus was the perfect Lamb to sacrifice because He had no blemish. In other words, Jesus never sinned but he died for our sins. He paid the fines for our sins. That’s so crazy because we sin so much in our daily lives! He rose from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit! Jesus was sent by God because He’s God’s own son! He was filled with the Precious Holy Spirit (God’s Spirit) so He had the power over sin! We can receive the Holy Spirit if we do these things:
1. Admit we are a sinner and repent from your sins (turn away from sin)
2. Believe that Jesus is God and He died for you and rose for you
3. Confess that Jesus is Lord.
I love you, please take this into action. God loves you, Jesus loves you and the Holy Spirit loves you! You were in Their mind before creation. If you do these things you can have eternal life with God in Heaven! Look at creation, you can tell that there is a creator, the proof: creation. In the same way you know that there was a painter because you can see the painting. God is real and He’s coming to judge the world. It’s not by our own works we get saved but the works of Jesus Christ. Put your trust in Jesus and let the Holy Spirit lead your lives! I love you all, that’s why I am sharing this! I don’t anyone to go to hell! God bless you! Read the Bible!❤️🔥🕊😃
Both pairs of brothers, Simon and Andrew, and James and John, are great! They absolutely are how I pictured each of them, growing up and learning about the Bible and the Gospels.
Erick Avari as Nicodemus was one of the best casting decisions I can think of.

"I expected something much cheesier," she said. So did I. I expected a typical Hallmark-level sort of thing. Not this. What they've done with this is amazing. They've made a Biblical drama of actual contemporary QUALITY and appeal. It's beautiful.
Yes, not biblical but all possible back stories... The Bible usually allows us to imagine back stories... And our imaginations wee made by God 😊

The guy who plays Matthew does an outstanding job! One of my favourite characters. Actually, I think this was a perfect cast...Nicodemus was also fantastic! Peter does a great job as well.....They all just do great!!!!!!!!!! well done!

Have you seen Jesus Revolution? Paras has a cameo on the pier when Lonnie Frisbee hands him a tract and asks if he knows Jesus, and Paras looks at him and the tract and then drops it on the ground 😁
Nothing can top Roumie's performance...and yet every member of the cast is still giving him a run for his money. A credit to the entire cast and crew, and the message of the entire show, that everyone is absolutely killing it.

The scene with Nicodemus and Lilith was so powerful. The way she switched to possession and said, “You have no power here teacher.” I knew there was depth to the character that I wanted to see. To find out it was Mary Magdalene was amazing.
Andrew is so upbeat and happy and I love his smile he is fantastic actor

Paras Patel's portrayal of Matthew has an aspenger feel to it that is very very real, I believe I'm an aspie myself (never diagnosed) and I felt so connected with this character. Seeing the actor being himself on this video makes me appreciate his work, as well as the scriptwriter's, great job!
If you believe it, you probably are. There are tons who are undiagnosed. I was one of them until about 5 years ago. Believe it or not, I actually felt like Thomas had Asperger's and so I googled this and found out it was actually Matthew who was! I think they both are the show begins implying this in season 2 and Thomas resents it. I actually just thought Matthew was a 'punchable' little worm in the first few episodes lol. Thomas has the kind of autism I have where we subconsciously see what we are in someone else and resent them; I reacted the same way my whole life, almost like 'I rose above this, what's your excuse?' May God humble us all.
So the actor who plays Matthew, all of that was just acting after all? Brilliant!

I've never watched a show that has such perfect casting for EVERYONE! Incredible job.
I have to say it.... notice how amazingly God works mysterious ways. These cast membersALL said they were in a “bad” time of their careers. They all had some issue and were “taking a break” when they auditioned. I love the way God works!!! Wether or not believe in God, that’s your choice but it doesn’t make or break God. He is still the miracle worker that He was then as He is today and I love to see how He makes himself known to people. Thank you for sharing so much of yourselves and being honest in this interview.

As a Jesus/Scripture follower & lover, I’ve watched many movies about Jesus. This is the absolute most realistic version’. It make me feel like the Scriptures are coming alive right in front of me! I can’t recommend it enough! I can’t wait for next season!!! Praying 🙏🏻

As someone woth aspegers i was suspicious that Mathew might be aspie. I really appreciate the way its portrayed. Its there, but its not who he is. Thankyou.

Yes. He is great in this role and it's wonderful that it is played like he is on the spectrum!
I have 2 daughters with Aspergers, so my wife and I recognized it immediately while watching the portrayal of Matthew.
My son is on the spectrum and when I saw Mathew I told my husband, Mathew is on the spectrum. It brought tears to my eyes because it was confirmation that God can use anyone! By far he’s my favorite character. Thank you! The acting is not too much or too less it’s perfect!
Yeah, I suspected that too. I didnt like it. Sorry. Not because of the disease. But because of the characters. I dont feel this series did justice to the characters of the Bible. I feel that the characters are used as as a means to HANG agendas on. FEW WEEKS LATER. Now after some consideration I had to take a step back. After viewing the First season. I can now say the Autism makes Matthew more precious to me. So now I appreciate his character more. He has alot to struggle with. I forget that the HAND of GOD is present in all things. The book of Matthew and Luke were my favorites books. They carried extensive information. So to see the actor breathe life into the character from this angel excites an opportunity for me to examine just one of the many obstacles he had to face and overcome as one of the apostles. He was a tax collector- which people didnt like. And if autism was not understood in those days - his ways and mannerisms could/ would have constantly made him an outsider to most. I watch him closely now. I love his cropped hair. And I love the way he holds, in a small purse, money. Coins. I now watch how he and counts and distributes coins - putting them into peoples hands for purchase of the things they need.
I love the fellowship with the actors. You can tell they really like each other. Phenomenal casting! Loved the actors, did an amazing job representing them.
I had never listened to such a sincere and crystal-like interview in my life. The actress and actors were so comfortable to expose their fear or issues that were going on before the casting process that maybe, those deep and brutally honest remarks could be the result of working in a greatly emotional drama like that. They are just being themselves, being genuine.
One of the things that I love about this series is that we can invest emotionally in the characters of each episode knowing that they were at one time real people. The actors do a phenomenal job of portraying them. Too many times we invest emotionally into shows that are fiction. We wish they were real people they're not. And all too often the actors are nothing like the characters that we come to love. I don't feel empty after watching The Chosen series. I feel hopeful. And the love between the actors shows through.
They were perfectly suited for each role, couldn’t imagine anyone else portraying them. It was interesting to hear how each actor was at a point in their careers where they were questioning whether they wanted to be in the field anymore. It is a daunting industry, it seemed like these roles for them were a divine appointment mirroring the way in which Jesus called each of their characters out of their old lives. Are you casting any new characters for the second season and if so would that be through traditional casting agencies?
Yes!!! That really touched me how all three of them were in a broken place in their lives and then this huge blessing happened

Andrew is my favourite character, I symphatize with his characte being a good brother role, he plays it so well I was surprised finding out it wasn’t given to him straight away.

Those interviews are really moving, we can see how much they engaged themselves in this project, how it moved them and changed them. That's a great addition to the show itself, which is amazing.

I purchased Season 1 after watching "the shepherd" a kazillion times. My heart is full of gratitude for all involved in this project and every time i watch an episode, i commit to pray for the actors in real life and each person who will watch each episode that the LORD will speak to their hearts as He has and continues to do in Mine... Praise His Holy Name!

Just about all the cast is perfect. Elizabeth Tabish is just amazing! It was such a joy for me and my daughter to be chosen as background extras for season 5 episode 1. It was an experience of a lifetime. All the actors, crew and Dallas were so friendly and appreciative to all 600 of us! Utah is a beautiful State.
Andrew was already my favorite character in this show (I say character because it's a representation of someone who was mentioned very rarely in Bible), but knowing that his actor like Lord of the Rings makes it even better.

I'm just rewatching this and it amazes me how many actors were ready to give up on the entire industry before landing on the Chosen. I'm still looking to answer God's calling in my life and doors keep getting closed in my face. Each opportunity stirs up a deeper passion within me and then the disappointment crushes me more deeply. I keep telling myself that it's strength training for the next opportunity. I feel like I have run out of options, locally, and moving is not an option right now. I can't tell you how much I needed to just hear this again. There's power in the testimony of the saints, according to Revelation. Thank you, cast and crew, for sharing your testimonies. Through Christ, we will overcome.

@johnrevere9567. Have you ever tried reading with colored glasses (rose, light blue, light green, etc.)? I read an article in a journal many years ago that said that could help.
The director is talented beyond words, what he has accomplished is herculean. The actors/actresses are living icons of their respective saints/apostles. A lot of work both in heaven and on earth went into this show and the result is a living liturgy.

The casting was done so well. It's easy to identify each character as the person they've portrayed. I love them all, especially Jonathan's depiction of Jesus as relatable, loving & humorous. I imagine like the real Jesus❤
