Another nice video. I been out of Ohio working out in Arkansas because I was layed off with a lot of others in the UAW auto parts industry., seems sales are down because not everyone can pay 80,000 for a vehicle. So I been missing some of your content., Semper Fi.
Now we’re cooking 🍳 Outstanding AF. Miss the overnighters but it is what it is 😊 I go back and watch the old episodes again and again. Always learning from them. Thanks You for your service ❤. Be safe and healthy. Say hi to your better half. 😆
People don't realize that most if not all small business men and women put 2to3 times the hours that those who work for someone else does . Keep at it Shawn.
I could be wrong but I was under the impression lanolin was not removed from wool in the 17th century. That makes wool far more water resistant. Fandabidozi shows this in one of his historical Scottish highland survival videos.
Great to see an over nighter again; I love them. Awesome to see somebody do it for REAL and, give their honest review like, "Well that sucked". Great stuff.
Every knot used is explained what it is , how to use it , how to make the knot , everytime. That is what separates this channel from the others. Kudos !!
I have never tried this but I remember reading in some old woodcraft books that they used to brush or curry comb the wool blanket in the direction you want to shed the water and it will help the water run off faster and soak in less.
YAY!!! Another fantabulous Corporal’s Corner video!!! Outstanding…..as always!!!! So happy to see our Corporal knocking it out of the park like he does each and every time!!! So thankful for all that you do!!! Have the most wonderful Sunday, and a great week coming up!!! Corporal ROCKS!!! 🏕️🪵🍁🍂🤗
At first, I wasn't very impressed with the size of your skillets. However, after watching your videos-especially this one that showed four eggs cooking in the pan and demonstrated the bag storage system-I have to say bravo! The design is a masterclass in simplicity and function. Now I need to decide which skillet to order. You are truly embodying the spirit of small business in the USA. Keep up the great work, and thank you for everything you do for us!
Corporals Corner... more of the same.... the usual brilliance, outstanding second to none, love it. God bless you and thank you for you have given me over the years, don't let anyone or anting knock you back and please more of the same brilliance, look after yourself and take care👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yaay! Also, using my cowboy skillet. The deep fluted edge is great. I also turn it upside down on the counter and works as a trivet for another utensil. Also enjoying survival skills mastery member videos very much.
Don’t talk about Red Dead redemption 2 , 20+hours of horse training and my wife , had one go of my game and managed to kill Bill the horse, I was not angry just disappointed lol 😂, great video brother
Thank you for this video. You present an interesting idea. I think it would work well on a relatively still night with no precipitation. Even if it rained or snowed, the blanket would be better than nothing.
Good video and sound advise. Improvise what you have for the situation you're in. Unfortunately, due to the "atmospheric rivers" we've been having for the past couple of weeks, that blanket shelter would keep you dry for about 5 minutes tops. My skillet/camping utensil carry bag, is an old war surplus canvas ditty bag I picked up years ago. The inner lining is a disposable heavy duty ziploc bag. Still works good.
In 1776, you would suffer through the atmospheric river. In 2024 you would have the advantage of a decent forecast, or when forced, access to a more rainproof product. A very easily packed trashbag might be a good improvised waterproof liner for that design as well. I really like the design and the presentation of it. Thanks Shawn!
Your channel would make a good survival video game. Start off with building with just a knife, then upgrade to an axe etc, hunt for food, start fires in the rain n harsh areas in order to eat. Set up traps for zombies, bears, maybe catch a cow n pig in order to make your signature burgers. Get bonus perks for signature dishes and homemade rakes and weapons. Just a thought lol Your shelter vids are awesome! 🙌🙌
Good job on setting up the shelter. Those bags were built and made for those skillets. That’s what I like about having skills and made in USA of course design is a process the state of mind great job.
Steve Wallis did something like this about a year ago. He buillt a no b.s. blanket fort. He used goodwill blankets and liked it so much his overnight turned into a weekend.
New location? Left the trusty branch rake behind eh, the ol' foot rake works good enough. Camp Craft has great waxed canvas products, been a fan for years. Great video once again, thanks for all the work. See ya soon.
You can get alpaca wool blankets from several vendors who import them from South America and there is one US rancher-vendor "Alpacas of Montana". AOM even has tours of the ranch to see llamas, alpacas, chickens, Andalusian Guard Dogs, and turkeys, Oh My!
You make everything look so easy and simple to do. I am an old woman but I have my to go bag packed according to one of your videos. Thanks for your wonderful videos. I did add a Kelly Kettle to my bag
Learned something again from you! Thank you for sharing and, promoting Made in the USA! Only way I spend money now. Yep, I'll pay more, but I'm contributing to my COUNTRY!
Always loved your content and welcomed the new with your old-school videos!!!! Please keep them coming and the best interpretation of both sides thought!!!
And if you have the time, or are going to be set up for more than one night, you can also lash on side poles (as you have shown in previous builds) to keep the sides of the blanket from sagging. another fun video. Thank you. Semper Fi!
Good to see the overnight video again. Also happy to see you promoting creating/fabricating your own products. A good example of Americans making their own wares and how we need to do more of it.
Those things go quick. I usually have his Etsy store pulled up before 10 A.M. when he uploads. Then when the video goes live, just begin refreshing the Etsy store until the skillets show up and then checkout quickly! lol
Switched from LBE to ALICE out here in Mogollon Rim Country Arizona with the weather change enjoy your trip, looking forward to you restocking your skillets.
It took me 2 days, but I finally was able to finish watching the video! I quite enjoyed it. This may seem a bit out of left field, but I just want to comment on how glad I am to see you are eating four eggs instead of two. 😁 In past videos, I'd see you frying up only two eggs and thinking, that's just not enough fuel for the amount of physical labour you do! 😁
An old, worn horse blanket like the one in the screenshot is probably gonna be pretty greasy. Might be enough to make it even more water resistant than a new one. Though the smells. Oh the smells.

Starting Sunday off right with Corporal
Trappers cabin was one of my favs! Have missed this type of video. Great one, sir.
An overnighter!! Outstanding A-F!!!

Outstanding and awesome content as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along.
I'm also a big believer in "If they don't make it I'll build it", it's the only way to be.
I am a believer in if I can build it for next to nothing I will. 😂

Love the Shelter videos! My favorite videos are the creative builds
Good vid, way to think out of the box. Use what you have for shelter, Nice!

Great to see these type of projects
I made " tents " just like that in my grandparents back yard when I was a kid .
Those were the best times.
The carry-bag is an essential piece of kit. Good work.
Yaay!

You foolish, foolish young man…😊
Keep it saved and just go back. 😢 Poor horse 🐎
@@thomasflippen4341I tryed that and it did not work Bill was gone 😢
How did you do in the undead attack version?
Same 30+ on my horse peanut not even 30 seconds and ran into a group of hillbilly’s and shot and killed my first horse...very sad.
Thank you for this video. You present an interesting idea. I think it would work well on a relatively still night with no precipitation. Even if it rained or snowed, the blanket would be better than nothing.
Alright a overnighter . Really enjoyed this video . This is what started our interest in bushcraft.
Always great information. Got my skillet this week so happy. A quality product for sure! Have a good trip!

This took longer to say than to do. Great job.4 tools and a blanket and you are protected.

This man is brilliant, I wish I knew a quarter of his knowledge…
It’s good to see the Corporal I remember from days gone by.
Awesome video. Thank you for making it.
Love RDR2. Just finished it for the first time. Best video game I've played since Zelda Ocarina of Time
Good job on setting up the shelter. Those bags were built and made for those skillets. That’s what I like about having skills and made in USA of course design is a process the state of mind great job.
Excelente trabajo Shawn. Te sigo desde hace tiempo.
Thanks, Corporal

New location? Left the trusty branch rake behind eh, the ol' foot rake works good enough. Camp Craft has great waxed canvas products, been a fan for years. Great video once again, thanks for all the work. See ya soon.
I wondered why the “bushcraft” rake wasn’t utilized as well. Saving a little time maybe? Hell, I’m just thankful for the video…
Shawn, Outstanding Video AF Thanks For Sharing and Keeping It Real, No BS.

Great as usual. Good to see you out there. Cool shelter idea.
This one has me thinking of the bunker….how is that one holding up???
Camp site clearing… would have been the perfect time to breakout the old nature rake. As usual great stuff Sean. Take care, Jeff
Nice video Corp 🫡🫡🫡, a belated happy birthday to you 👍🥳🫡🫡
Good to see the overnight video again. Also happy to see you promoting creating/fabricating your own products. A good example of Americans making their own wares and how we need to do more of it.

Once again, clear and fun! Bravo Zulu!
But.. only four eggs? We need to talk, young man...
Awesome video once again! I was too slow to get the foldable skillet! Dang! Oh well, I'll be faster next week!
Those things go quick. I usually have his Etsy store pulled up before 10 A.M. when he uploads. Then when the video goes live, just begin refreshing the Etsy store until the skillets show up and then checkout quickly! lol
They did have waterproof blankets in the 17th century. They were presshrank. It's the same technique. Highlanders kilts were made out of.
Keep it coming 🥳🥳🥳
As always... absolutely fabulous 🥳🥳🥳
Ordered my skillet!! Can’t freaking wait, been a follower for years and you’re pretty badass no bull

Thanks Corporal 😊
As a car/truck camper I have all of my camp cooking supplies in a smallish backpack. Stove, fuel, cook-set and utensils, fire maker, seasonings.
