Corporal, I've been watching your stuff years. Every week. Just build what you like and not worry so much about what is watch and what is not watched. From someone who watches content creators way more than Netflix and such, it seems to me that the most successful creators are the ones who don't completely follow a formula. Just do what you want. And BTW, one of my favorite builds was the one where you dug into the side of a hill. Keep on keeping on.
Watching your videos for a few minutes is fun. The amount of work and hours it takes to make these videos is amazing and very much appreciated. Thanks for all you do.
We live in interesting times. Many of us will someday have to stay in one camp for more than just one night. That's why I like the idea of expanding the camp in several episodes. Keep it up & Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas. I’m a big fan of seeing how these camp sites progress and get better and better after just a few visits.
These are very nostalgic videos for me, camping out in the snow around Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. Unmanaged pine woods, mostly too thin Pinus resinosa (Redf pine), thin, straight, and overcrowded.. No building involved, used Collins machete to cut in to the base pf largish squat pine tree, tunnel in to get out of snow/sleet. Build a fire four full steps out from the very burney pine tree - do NOT want an uncontrolled conflagration. Dig a pit, clean out all the dead pine needles. Your Videos in the snow art a trip back in time for me. Thanks!! I'm 71 now, and at 15, I didn't know if I -had- a future, never m,ind the shape it might take. A year after this time, I discovered "Girls' and my life got a LOT brighter. 😄

I am amazed at this build! Living in Ashtabula County, we just had temperatures of -5 degrees Fahrenheit with wind gusts to 50 mph. You are in the shelter during this, I presume? It is brutal out there and for you to be able to stay out there without freezing to death says it all. A great build!!! Wishing my favorite Marine a very happy and blessed Christmas season! I never miss a video. I have all notifications turned on and I watch the video when it's recommended. I have noticed that if you miss even a single video the algorithm will be less likely to recommend that channel again.

Love your videos no matter what you do since everything meshes together for outstanding information and you are a WEALTH of information....just wished I was 30yrs younger (71 now) to actually put this info to it's test, BUT, what I've saved from past videos, I can pass on to MY Grandsons and hopefully teach them the love of the outdoors like you've taught me!!!👍👍👍

For me, camping out was not recreation. I had a grandmoither who blamed ME for my parent's divorce, and I heard all my young life about how I was a "bad kid" and would end up in prison. That aside, she used to do violence unto me when I was "bad" and I believe that even then corporal punishment was not intended to end up in the ER. So camping was a refuge of sorts. I could leave the strife and fury for a while, and find peace.

Mate, you are the gold standard of bushcrafting channels and when I started exploring yours and many others content I soon realized how many others are directly inspired or even students of yours.
Would it be inappropriate to use video titles like "Pathfinding Solo Over Night" "Pathfinder Bushcraft Shelter"or "Pathfinder Survival Camping" that may hint at your level of knowledge/background? I appreciate your humble demeanor but I wish people would have some easier way of knowing how capable you are compared to many "backyard bushcrafters" who are acting as skilled/experienced or even some other excellent creators who are new students of yours in reality.
I also love the 'Corporals wisdom ' part of this video!! Your efficient military style of demonstration and teaching is always appreciated but I had the thought a video or two ago that you communicate very well with where your next content will be going but a short personal fireside moment of Corporals wisdom might be a bit of flavor to boost your views and you did just that.
I see 'Corporal's wisdom' set up by shots of the woods just away from your fire/shelter with all the night sounds etc showing how scary the woods can be and then scene coming back to join you at the fire and as the sense of how your shelter and fire contrast the unnervingly dark woods with warmth and safety in the familiar a bit of 'Corprals Wisdom' would be most impactful. Sorry, I don't mean to turn producer on what was meant to be a word of gratitude and encouragement for your awesome content that I believe deserves praise and views.

Corporal, You need to to stay true to your channel and your content. I love all your content including deer blind and cabin in the woods. Gives me ideas of my own. You can’t please everyone but every episode you talk/complain about how people are not watching. Last time I looked over 180K watched your last deer blind episode. So please stop only listening to those haters who will always be haters. If they don’t want to watch one of those episodes then they can watch the next shelter building episode as you do a good job of mixing your content. IMHO.

I love those fire walls! I’ve run into bears before and I feel like this would keep them away. Snow I’m ok with! Rain I’m ok with it’s the damn bears and mosquitoes that I fear!
Mosquitoes. Black bears are mostly manageable. Just don't have scraps of food around, and don't smell like food. Carry a weapon. I always had a rifle. A good knife! (Don't leave home without one) and a rifle if allowed. Noisy is better than "powerful". Don't shoot a bear, you will piss them off!. Rules of gun safety: Don't EVER point a weapon at something you don't intend to kill, and don't kill anything you don't absolutely HAVE to. Fr the Cpl: Don't spend a lot of time making up your mind.

I like your selection of different builds and reasons for them . Don't worry your true fans will follow you . The biggest thing with you most of your shelters are built with mostly hand tools . On your foods you cook on rocks or something you don't always use a pan . Merry Christmas and a Happy new year

This is my third view today, and of reading others comments, it is difficult to please all of the people all of the time and people must realize that it is also hard to come up with a different theme each week and a planned theme for future promotions. With the many other types of bushcraft and survival shows available for viewing it must be considered how a promotion would be presented to be different and enjoyable over a wide class of viewers. For me I find your direction is a simple enough way to provide a means to survive in any given situation without the best fanfare of other groups. Your ability to offer such simplicity makes for pleasant viewing. thank you. waiting now for the new year. 2023

Yes! The raised bed has finally made its appearance! Good night for it with the temps dropping and the snow coming in. I wonder if piling dirt up around the shelter would be an easier and perhaps better option than chinking with clay? Thoughts? How about a Barabara, Hogan, or a Wikiup for future builds?

I knew that you were not comfortable there this time with the cold air and the snow on the inside not a good sign but you are tough as nails, keep up the great work. And I found out that srirachi sauce fixes acid reflux or chronic heart burn. I suffered for years and it fixed my throat with no drugs.

No trouble finding this video; it was #1 in my recommendations this morning. Nice additions to the Poacher's Camp. I knew when I saw you leaving the gaps between the logs that you were compromising between available time and further progress. Still, it's like an artists sketch; the bare bones of the work are there, it's beginning to take shape, and refinements have been made. It works to convey the idea, you see where improvements can be added, and you can plan for further development. "Think of it as evolution in action..."
