To your kind and skilled people working at flight test you should try to and build another Dusty Crophopper from the movie Planes Fire and Rescue and make it be able to drop water
As a former parachute rigger in the US Air Force I got to work with the 3 essential aerial delivery methods, I would love to work on a bigger scale with you guys, set a point of impact on the drop zone and make a competition, who can make it closer to P.I. That was awesome, you brought back so many memories, good times!
It seems like an extraction chute would be appropriate for these airdrops.
Me and a fellow USAF guy used to fly our big trainer RC planes at the Ft Dix parade ground years ago...we would drop little plastic army men with parachutes, trying to land them within a circle. We both used a side-opening trap door on the bottom of fuselage, operated by servo.
I just wanted to say, I really appreciate the sentiment of doing this smaller and thus more approachable than the last time and still having it be "More epic than ever."
4 years at Edgewater?! Wow time flies! I started watching FT in Highschool and it fostered my love for aviation. I’ve since graduated from college and am a certified flight instructor. Thank you Flitetest for still being awesome after all these years!
It is truly inspiring to hear your story, so happy that flite test could help you find your calling in life. Happy flying my friend!
@@davidjester5085 thank you!!
Looking good for me I’m on the same path. I’ve been watching since I was 8! And now I’m closing in on 16, I aspire to be like you on day
Flite Test's motto: "There is always a round two."
Guinea Pig was my first FT build right after Peter's video. GP is still my favorite FT plate. Flies on rails, hauls a ton, lands easily, hard to stall and just keeps going. I put a 3/16" x1/2" wood spar in the wing and it's indestructible. Even made out of dollar tree foam board
The Guinea pig and the explorer were my first 2 rc planes ever. Both were super easy to build and very forgiving in the sky. Thanks Flite Test!
the creativity in these guys is out of the roof!!!!
Really nice to see another accessible but still technical and creative video!
If I had a plane like that and a teacher like you it would have saved the world a whole lot of GLUE! 😁
A punjet revisit would be cool, maybe find a way to give it a multi fold wing so that it is more stable after drop and spreading its wings
Been watching you guys for 4 to 5 years now and have 8 airplanes from you guys. Thanks for the amazing content!
I learned model aircraft piloting in an indoor club, well, the master pilot had to take back controls a lot of time in order to avoid crashing into the walls of the (tiny) gymnasium. Needles to say I did a lot of single point landings before getting to fly correctly in a tiny closed space. Outdoors flying might be easier to familiarize with the process, but here in France, rc outdoors flying is highly regulated since the drone craze 6 years ago
So glad to see the Guinea pig back on the channel, brings back a lot of FT memories
I liked the flying tutorial. Plus always great seeing things come out the back of aircraft.
Very fun to see the OG Guinnea pig again! If the pun-jet gets revived is there a chance we might see the planes like the Sea angel return too?
I have 3 SCX24th scales, all modified ( there is a HUGE aftermarket), and they are just the most fun ever !! I've made all kinds of courses for them, indoor and outdoor, and I've done the FPV with them as well. Really fun trucks !!
Ya'll are having waaaay too much fun! Thanks for sharing with us!
What a great episode!
Great technique ! Nice to see someone else flying. My brother is getting into the hobby and your way of instructing inspired me! Thank you Josh.
She looks totally nervous. No worries, your doing great kid. Keep on crushing.
I learned to fly by myself entirely. Many crashes and rebuilds until I could stay in the air.
So you asked what we would like to see for me it would be the iconic, large or big lazy bee. This plane came out when I was a kid. I’m 65 now. Love to see you guys build one and put plans up for it.
Love the guinea pig. Flew mine at flite fest west 17'. Built two by scratch so far
Great to see a new flyer on the channel again :)
Had a guinnea pig for about 2 years now. Honestly the best plane I own and is so much fun to do 3D with! Thank you for the memories I’ve been able to have with it
She did great for the first time ever flying!!
funny i have been wanting to do this and i just bought the kit deal! Thanks guys cant wait to build it!
Awesome video guys love, these. Next time try tying a pilot chute on top of the parachute, that’ll help keep it upright.
My mother always said that it's bad luck to open an umbrella indoors...😆
You did an awesome job on your first flight Moose🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yes Punjet, or similar design with a mini motor. I would love to see what you guys come up with.
This is amazing, keep up the good work !🎉🎉
You guys are doing awesome. I have enjoyed watching FT develop over the years and the family grow. Also, have you guys considered making a Civil Air Patrol airplane?
Impressive 👌
Amazing video! Had me watching in awe!
I'm going to buy that bundle. I can see the fun to be had with it.
I think the umbrella would have stayed upright in the fall if you removed all the fabric on the top of the umbrella, say in a 10 inch circle at the very top of the umbrella instead of making a few tiny hole. Or in the future you can get pretty nice parachutes from model rocket companies online fairly cheap.
Is that pond and waterfall a new addition? Would love to see a tour of the property at some stage. 👍
Reminds me of when Peter was with flight test. You guys should collab again
Simplest parachutes to construct with high reliability are made by cutting a circle or hex or octagon shape of cloth with a loose weave to avoid needing to cut holes (maybe one in Center) and then match it with a netting or lace material. Sew an attachment nylon or string to the Center of the mesh circle and stitch the edges of the 2 circles together. The mesh can’t tangle and opens every time.
Cheese cloth maybe?
Parachute fabric (we call it F111) is strong, light weight, very compact when folding and has no porosity. It is slippery and it's used for a lot of products besides parachutes as f.e. transfer and pullup stocking aid/ tool. The fabric is a little transparent.
the guinea is my fav plane definately wanna see more crazy stuff with it. its so versatile!!
4:08 "it's me"
Cool! Josh already had ideas for future videos during this drop 😂
I started learning RC flying in January using an instructor on a buddy box. I am now soloing in expert mode flying a Carbon Cub, Turbo Timber and a Piper Cherokee.
Another truly enjoyable video. Now get Stephen a new beach umbrella
Great video
I've been subscribed for more than four years since I literally subscribe at least three months before you moved to your current spot glad to be here!
Would love to see a Last Starfighter quad, or maybe a Flight of the Navigator plane? love the channel!
I really enjoy the shenanigans🎉
Mini Guinea was my first FT build :)
These RC crawlers are amazing, i have the same SCX24 but in the Turquoise Chevy C10 body. I have done so many upgrades on it haha
bring back the Punjet try to make it fly able out the back
drogue chute will keep it upright
We need sum1 like u guys in the uk . Maybe grt my hands on a few of yr kits then .
Nice Bullet Flag Hoodie! 👍👍
Great vid
SCX24's rock.
I was surprised by the range of the Jeep.
Time to charge up and go play with mine.
Excellent buddy box tutorial and I enjoyed seeing a fresh face in your video. I miss the old gang, The swede, Chad, Peter.
Very cool
It look nice
So dang cool
It would be awesome if you guys could make some FPV RC skydivers 🪂
YESSS THE GUINEA PIG!!!
You guys ever think about recreating a small scale "Vomit Comet". That view from inside the plane with the truck looking like it was floating gave me the idea. You could have various weight objects in the back to see how zero G affects them...
I love the Guinea pig, I built one a long time ago, I crashed that thing so many times and it just kept flying.
Just the umbrella cloth is enough for parachute
Remove the frame from the umbrella. I've made parachutes from umbrellas before just using the material part. I used to drop it from my 650mm drone. Just have longer strings from each point of the material
It would be great is you brang back the foldable plane kit
I remember videos before that and many since then.
I have been with you, from the beginning, in the basement, and I bought the Guineapig when it came out, and I still have it 😊. I love it. I made a 9000mah 4s batteries out of 18650 sells and I can fly almost an hr on that, at half throttle😁. Got the punjet at the same time but I have totally forgot about it, so maby it's time to revisit it 😊. Thank you for all the good content and all the things you do for the flying community.
Best regards from Norway 😊🇳🇴
Chiming in once again. I can’t fly. I’ve tried. I’ll stick with my trucks and boats. But I love this channel. You guys make R/C so much more fun. And you have an amazing time just building and developing projects. Very inspirational. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for the R/C community.
Thanks brother!
I think you can fly! All you need is a lightweight slowfly trainer model!
How about one of Joshua finn's folding gliders as cargo ?
The best thing about your day job is you never have to grow up 😉 You’re rockstars!
Remember watching that video 4 years ago.
Didn’t realise FT had grown so much
Can’t believe it been 4 years since I’ve watched that
Epic!
Love you guys. What days are you going to flite fest?
I want a vtol that can go from super fast like the dji fpv to flying normal and able to drop a rc car. So in theory you can fly you rc car to a place drop it and land or autopilot in a circle then switch to vtol and pick the rc car back up
Вы используете контроллер полёта для такого самолёта? Это же безумно дорого! У нас это редкость...
Every since I was a kid in the '80s, I have wanted to make a weight-shift airplane.
That is something I have been talking about doing recently myself maybe sometime in the near future we will tackle that project 😉
Maybe replace the metal in the umbrella with zip-ties.
It’s these videos that I love
Have watched off and on since the dawn when FT started . It just keeps growing and forever creating projects that never cease to amaze. Thank you Young men and Lady' or Ladies for all you have done and continue to do God Bless all your endeavors to bring the dream of flight to reality for so many .
Thank you so much. :)
Would be cool to design a flerken with folding wings so it can be launched from inside of the Guinea pig plane!
Made the mistake of building one from black foam board, oops on a warm day it fell apart ...white foam version in garage is holding up nicely
I was wondering if you can design a different nose for the plane and see how well it would work. The nose type that is similar to the boxcar/C-130. I wonder if that can give this plane a little more room for experiments?
now thats what you call a cargo
get it?
car go
Kimbrella flips over because of the shape parachutes are not flat on top but they have attachments all the way around with a circle you need a parachute without the metal brackets there’s been pushed to the sides that’s an umbrella designed to make water spread not a parachute for holding a pocket of air😮😂😂😂
Go miss Moose on your first flight! Welcome to flying
how do u get the curves in the foam board?
awesome! i hope you found your insta360go camera lol
we want the pun jet!!!
Hey buddy please make detailed video on how to make Master and Slave Tx configuration.
I know you've just said the "Fleurkin" (sorry if spelt wrong) was going to be your last one, but how hard would it be to adapt the design to look like and F-302 from Stargate franchise?
You dropped Matt's Offroad Recovery's Banana? Noooooo!
I read the title like wait they made cars?!?
Challenger make the Opposite 0:35 put a plane and a car and take off with the plane and try to get the car into the cargo hold
Can you make a YF-22 raptor with the propellers In the plane
In the sense that the air intake to engine area would be holo and probably have the engines be separate(but mainly can you make a YF-22 Raptor please)
Legends say guinea pig still hasn’t landed to this day
next drive out the plane while doing a touch & go
LAPES ?
