I bought a Philips CD 160 recently and it played one CD then wouldn't read discs after that. Tried cleaning the lens even found a small screw underneath the chassis to adjust for the lens and it worked again for just one disc then I gave up. It was a shame as I liked the sound of it.

@@rollingtroll ah ok, thanks for explaining that because the ebay seller tried to accuse me of causing the issue by opening the case and cleaning the laser lens. I wanted to return it and instead he got really stubborn and it ended up with ebay refunded me completely and I didn't have to return the item. If he had just accepted there was a fault we could have been amicable and sent it back to him but instead he tried accusing me of breaking it lol.

Yeahhh, I really suggest buying this kind of stuff at thrift shops. It's all old honestly, don't pay market value :)
