I have an Actron code reader, that does have Live Data. There are literally 13 codes on my 04' Focus? I need to step up to a better scanner, in order to try and diagnose the vehicle properly? It is running so bad, it is misfiring on at least 2 cylinders and undriveable for the past 4 years? Need to check compression and all the basics, before wasting money on a better scanner with bi-directional control capability? Thanks for the review, Dan.
The connector to the Innova looks just like an old serial port connector. Yeah, whenever I get a "Check Engine" light, the first thing I check is the gas cap. That's usually the problem.
I have a Code Reader.
Then recently bought a Diagnostic Scanner.
Must say get one.
I have a different Brand.... My Launch 129e is amazing.

How much diagnostics does this one allow? Does it have the ability to diag evap stuff, like opening and closing vent solenoids and purge valves etc?
It’s not an ethos. It dosent go that in-depth.
MAP= Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
Would this read a factory air suspension problem?
I doubt it very much. That is a very specific system that would probably require an OEM bi directional scanners tool
What gets to be problematic, is finding the hardware spec of WHAT your car should be at. Unlike the old car manuals, you dont get this stuff.
