what I remember form that DVD was: "oh he was the worst, so unprofessional, nobody liked him". Then after he passes away: oh he was terrific, so great to work with, we all loved him".
I hear all this talk about how the Warrior didn't have any wrestling skills - well, I also heard about how hulk Hogan had, pretty much, the same amount of "talent" as the Warrior, so WrestleMania 6 was a battle of 2 equal forces, as evidenced by the division of the fans between the Warrior and hogan As for the warrior's promos, some of them didn't make sense , but there were a few with a Warrior theme involved you had to listen to it a little more slowly and reflect on them, you might just find a few morsels of knowledge in them. Just a few thoughts.
@@Davethe3rd He decided to not do them like in Japan because you had to bump more in the US because you had to "take heat" then go into big moves in your comeback, where in Japan it was a long sequence of technical holds and by the "third act" only would you really go into bumps and big moves. According to Mike Quackenbush, Japans structure their match in two phases, "wrestle wrestle wrestle" (the long rest holds I mentioned) and then the finale. And bumping a lot in a 80's US ring was painful, Hogan said "It was like they took a chunk of a highway that hasn't been rebuilt in a decade, and decided to put a mat over it, sometimes we'd only bump for the pin to avoid any risk".
same happened to whitney houston. before she died, it was "oh, look at her. she's a mess. what a crackhead." then when she died, it was "oh she was a beautiful soul. the greatest singer that ever lived."
When Warrior’s dad died, it doesn’t matter what their relationship was like. Grief doesn’t follow rules. I could see someone in his shoes suddenly realizing that they no longer had any chance to have a relationship with their dad, and wanting to at least be there for the funeral and take some time to make sense of it.
Yeah can't help feel this is pushing the WWF narrative able him being crazy.. seemed like a really cool guy. Glad he made peace with the WWE before he passed, unbelievable timing
I don't care what they say, the warrior return at wrestlemania 8 when he saved hulk hogan is still one of the greatest returns ever!!! The energy in the arena was so high. Still gets me pumped up to this day!!
Controversial or not, Warrior was always popular. I remember when Hogan returned for WM18, WWE had a website poll on who fans thought was his best WM opponent. Warrior won by a landslide, beating out Andre, Savage, and even Rock, who was the company's biggest star at the time.
@@dwaynejpeterkin the poll was for his best WrestleMania opponent not something like who they wanted to see him face. Andre being dead doesn't make WrestleMania 3 retroactively not have happened
This was quite a thing when the DVD came out, and yeah, it was just the company doing everything they can to bury the Ultimate Warrior. Come several years later, they bring back Warrior, who honestly gives one hell of a promo that ended up being his last. And then the WWE releases a new DVD praising the Warrior. Quite the turn around, if you ask me.
He made Vince millions and Vince felt slighted when he left without Vince sucking his dry, need an example of someone not buried but forgotten about? Look at warriors friend macho man and also the man who made vince snr his territory, bruno. Completely erased until he made amends himself. Bret was on his way to getting his image tarnished by a smear DVD until he jumped on with the project.
@jonathanwilliams2183 The self destruction of Warrior was great! I love Warrior and i didn't see it as negative, it was just everyones reaction to Warrior being Warrior. He didnt change for anyone. He just did himself and who cares if you like me or not, i'm doing it for all the little Warriors! Jim Hellwig was the king of the ring!
Yes, that's what I always thought about Warrior. And to be honest, Undertaker, too. These big, grown adult men, pretending to be spear chucking tribal chieftains and zombies, was just silly to me.
@@WorthlessDeadEnd i think we were more accepting of Undertaker as Mark Callaway because he is just a cool dude. Also Mark don't take the business too seriously and would joke about events in hindsight and even admit his own mistakes.
I love how royally PISSED Christian was about this documentary. Even referenced it in his exit interview before leaving for TNA "so what this going to be 'the self destruction of Christian?'"
Edge and Christian were big fans of the Ultimate Warrior. You can tell Christian's recital of Warriors Wrestlemania promo was done out of love, not malice. I can see why he'd be pissed at the end result
Have you ever heard his shoots or Podcasts? dude was a turd and a crappy wrestler. Pretty much Goldberg. Its crazy how fans liked either of them but hey look at the kind of people who are popular in politics or youtube. Everyone is gonna have fans.
@@EricRomeoCooper No, his shoots are great. The guy was going out of his way to give the best pieces of advice he had for free, didn't try to profit from his fans. Even during his infamous university speech he still shook everybody's hand and told his crew that he wasn't even mad at the people for the backlash, saying "That's normal stuff, somebody says something completely opposite from your views, maybe it's the first time you get to hear that, you're gonna react strongly to it".
Ok,you've REALLY caught my attention with this! I actually own a copy of this and not only did they buried the Ultimate Warrior in thag documentary but they only added a few matches to the DVD with Jesse "The Body" Ventura's commentary being cut out. Crazy how they included a bonus disk yet it was still short.
@@mikem10481 Jesse sued and won about $900,000 in royalty payments he'd never got paid. I believe part of the deal was Vince could use his commentary again.
Hogan: “Everyone was watching me leave.” Also Hogan: Stands on the apron on the hard camera side, hijacks the belt, makes a scene handing it over. Hulk, when you lose, get out of the ring. “That doesn’t work for me, brother.”
That scenario was actually planned out by UW, Hogan, Patterson and Pritchard. Unsure if others were involved in it. It was a passing of the torch (belt) for the next person to carry the company (UW). Hogan coming up with the so called idea after the match was BS. Watch the video, when the ref gives both belts to UW. UW immediately hands back the world title to the ref. Afterwards, UW waits for Hogan to come back into the ring to give him the belt. Even after UW passed Hogan the liar, that he is continues to peddle the BS about him coming up with the idea to keep attention on himself.
@@alanguages you're kind of missing the point. The point is there was a spectacle during handing the belt over that centralized on Hogan and his exit. It's being used by Hogan to delegitimize Warrior, despite that event taking place. You're point is taken, but who planned it and the events leading up to it are irrelevant. Hogan is totally gaslighting Warrior.
It was definitely planned out. And even if it wasn’t planned out it worked. To me that is one of the most memorable and iconic moments in wrestling history. The two biggest faces in the company in a great match. It’s a clean finish, and hulk hogan hands over the belt and raises his hand as they embrace. It was beautiful. Ultimate warriors title reign was horrendous mostly because he can’t work in the ring at all Unless another Wrestler basically carried him the entire way
@@alanguages Hogan WAS meant to hand over the belt, but he WASN'T meant to stand forever on the ring apron posing with the belt on his shoulder as if to say "I am still the REAL champion and am only humouring everyone else by going along with this booking."
Everything you need to know is in the title "the SELF Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior". This was WWFs way of deflecting any of Warriors controversy's as all SELF inflicted; acting as if hardcore gear abuse pushed on them by the company, had no effect on the superstars. They put how they feel in plain sight!
The Warrior had the nerve to talk about others abusing drugs. LOL. He was abusing drugs for years before he got to the WWE. He was a hypocrite pos and nobody liked him.
He was deep in character, same as Randy Savage....and let's not pretend Hogan made sense on all his promos either. God is a hulkamaniac and if he finds out you are drinking the sweat from the devils armpit he'll strike you down.
i agree i dont see how anyone could even want to complain about what he said. Like who cares. He was just being true to the audience which was all that mattered anyway
Just wanted to say thanks for all the content you have saved for us when your going on holiday. Very considerate of you and I appreciate all the hard work you put into them.
I know my opinion means very little, but this is a top 10 UA-cam channel for me, Regardless of topic. Well researched, well presented, and though it’s hell on my productivity, I love every second of it. Thank you for all the great content. This video is amazing.
Basically this documentary is one extreme of WWE's retrospective of the warrior: A complete burial of the guy never giving him much credit for anything and made out of spite. Where as the other documentary they made glorified Warrior, pretending he never had any issues or problems and acting like he was only a beacon of sunshine to the world. Jim Hellwig was a flawed man who had some nasty views and wasn't the best to work with, but he was also an undeniable star who at one point rivaled Hulk Hogan at the peak of his popularity. It's a shame we'll probably never get a documentary or anything to explore both sides of this.
@ROFLCOPTERLOL thought gays weren't as legitimate as heterosexuals he said "Queering doesn't make the world work" And he said that Bobby Heenan deserved his throat cancer
@ROFLCOPTERLOL He was racist and INCREDIBLY homophobic. Including celebrating the real death of Heath Ledger for simply playing the part of a homosexual man in the movie Brokeback Mountain. I don’t judge or condemn people, just behaviors. There were MANY words/behaviors of his deserving of condemnation.
Warrior was true chaotic energy and like it or not he definitely left a huge mark on the face of wrestling. I think WWE realized that because he was eventually inducted to the HoF. May he rest in peace.
@@disciple2742 - I hate the Warrior. And everything you said is correct. But he put asses in the seats and that made the WWE money. And making WWE is the most important thing you can do.
I love this DVD! I pop it in every once in a while for some good laughs and memories. It didn't bury him in my eyes even though that was clearly their intent. It just further proved how "larger than life" these characters were for me growing up.
You know what's interesting about that? They presented it as being a brand-new rumor in 1992. I remembered hearing about that at least two years prior. Like my friends and I would look at various trading card releases and try to find differences in his appearance to "prove" it was two different guys. I was never convinced. But, yea, I definitely heard those rumors before 1992.
The Wrestlemania match between Hogan and The Warrior kept me on the edge my seat through out the battle. It was a really good match ! I saw the Warrior as a Champion here in Montreal and the Man looked fantastic! The 20,000 fans were unanimously all behind him ! It was unbelievable! That's what I remember when I think of Jim Hellwig. May he Rest in Peace 🙏
I think this is the best video Wrestling Bios has done. I'm slightly biased in that Warrior was my favourite WWF guy when I was little kid. But it's good analysis, smart analysis, balanced and fair and although it's a monologue it's really engaging. Thanks for making this
I had this on dvd years ago. Got buried by everyone on it. Knew all of the gimmick of the ultimate warrior grown up but had no idea how disliked he was with other wrestlers.
Yes actually it's ridiculous, a muscle bound entertainment style wrestler with poor execution moves, lmao, okay Jim was the only one ever to rise to popularity...Jim crossed Vince a couple too many times, with the money or no wrestle , and take of to rival WCW, so Vince's yes men hated him...Macho cut some of the best promos, who knew what he was saying half the time,lol...Be honest they were all mostly drugged out of their faces then, still Warrior had great promos, had an array of moves no less than Hogan, was articulate when out of character, and off the Peruvian marching powder...
Hogan and Triple H get just about as much criticism thrown at them as Warrior still does, not to mention the sordid histories of Flair, Edge, and McMahon himself. All these guys have had their flaws throughout the years, and there has no doubt been at least some embelishment on all sides, but they all entertained us and gave it their all whenever they stepped into the ring.
Growing and watching wwe till like 2003 I never cared about all the drama backstage I watched wrestling for the entertainment aspect and it was great tv but the way they burned warrior was not cool as a fan all I wanted to be was entertained not hear all this garbage about wrestlers hating their guts and I'm better than yu nonsense all I know is warrior had no in ring skill and still went straight to the top and that's what makes these fools salty especially Hogan
Warrior was many peoples favorite wrestler growing up. Say what you want about the man, but at one point in time he was more popular than Hogan or anyone else. Thats why they put the title on him. He connected with the demographic so he was obviously doing something right. Give him some credit
I want to quite a few WWF house shows in the 80s and 90s and the crowd reaction to the Ultimate Warrior was the biggest of all. And I saw Hulk Hogan live at the height of Hulkamania
Young me was a Warrior fanatic, just at the right age not to realise his massive limitations in the ring and just enjoy the character. Still get the urge to shake imaginary ropes at the end of this video when the theme hit.
Another awesome upload from the wrestling channel with the most jam on the planet! I got this DVD for Christmas one year. I looked forward to watching it. Warrior being one of my favourites from my earliest years of watching wrestling. I was left both disappointed and confused by the DVD and burial that we got. It wasn’t until years later that I found out the burial job done on this DVD was only because Warrior was refusing to work with Vince, who wanted to put a DVD together, to make money. I wonder if the WWF would have put together a “self destruction of Bret Hart” DVD had he refused to work for them for his DVD. As it came out around the same time.
Yeah, Bret says they were going to do the same thing to him had he not chosen to participate in the DVD. He said they told him "get on board or get run over."
I remember watching this when it came out. It did seem like everyone was just crapping all over Warrior, except for Christian. He seemed like he was a fan, at least at one point.
Seems to me like, that most only dislike warrior once they meet him. And those who do like him, haven't actually met him and think he is the character they idolised as a kid.
“ One of the most exciting entrances at the time “ ??? …. Let me speak as an American Kid who was 10 years old when the Warrior came out and who was watching wrestling since the Bob Backlund , Jimmy Snucka , Ivan Putsky era … Ultimate Warriors entrance was the most exciting one in Wrestling History to this day
I bought this DVD when it came out. I thought it was pretty honest and a great collection piece. I also thought that despite the shots, they gave him plenty of clips and moments that made him look good.
@@DarknessFlameMedia However, Andre was still professional enough to at least carry on doing what needed to be done for wrestling. Also, while it could be true Andre hated Warrior, I don't remember if they ever talked about if e hated the man all through his run or just early on, when he didn't now what he was doing. But again, this is a burial of Warrior, so.
Something interesting I wanted to mention separately, a client at the gym I used to work at said he knew Jim Hellwig before he got into wrestling, as they went to chiropractic school together. He never watched wrestling in his life but he had gotten word that his former classmate had become one of the most famous wrestlers in history, and when he heard I was in the business he asked me about it. He was shocked to learn that he had become so unhinged and arrogant and that nobody liked him; he said that back when he knew him, he was soft-spoken and mostly kept to himself. His theory on the personality change was, "I guess all the steroids must have gone to his brain." 🤣
It seems that the common theory is that Helwig was very interested and excited about bodybuilding, but saw wrestling as a paycheck. A means to an end to his marketing dreams (his comic book etc and so on). He was absolutely my favorite in the 80s - I remember watching hogan line up for the leg drop at Wrestlemania and screaming 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' at my tv.
Tren is the only one that directly effects the brain cuz it passes thru the blood brain barrier. I’m sure it wasn’t just steroids tho, like most wrestlers back then it was probably Coke, alcohol, and pain killers etc.
As a wrestler, the shaking of the hands is a sign of trust and respect Definitely got it right that we put our trust in others so the best thing to do is to put respect to everyone, as it's a team effort I for one make sure to shake everyone's hand even if their just ring crew, all about respect :)
Thank you for the content. You did an amazing job as always. As for Warrior, I always felt he couldn’t work even if he had terrorists capture him and threatened to behead him. However gimmick wise he was top notch. Put it this way, he lacked skill but gained charisma through his look.
There's a biography on the ultimate warrior which is in my opinion the best non-bias look into the life and mind of the man himself. It doesn't portray him in the most innocent light, but you do feel sympathy for him at the end of the film. It even touches upon the Self destruction of the ultimate warrior and how much it hurt him in the end. I highly recommend that documentary.
@user-yi1ib3zt1m I forgot the title but it's on UA-cam. I think it's an A&E special, it's done very well and puts Warrior in a different light. He's not completely innocent and the biography definitely covers his controversies but he is still treated like a human with flaws.
Love this video and your take on it. I bought the dvd shortly after it's release. I thought it was a petty hit piece then, and after watching this video, i still feel that way. It was great to hear you point out that while they sh*t on his promo's, they praise the out there ones from undertaker.
I'd like to see a comparison between the Destruction video, and the more recent one where it's all praise, from some of the same people. Always great content, thanks.
Excellent balanced critique WBs as always - you're doing a public service in preserving the multiverse where WWE tells their truth and doesn't airbrush history
Awesome video as always. I actually purchased this dvd shortly after it came out. Right off the bat I could tell it was a feature length hit piece, but oddly enough I was entertained by it (in a satirical way). The way some of the segments & interviews are edited were really funny. The bonus disc is absolutely bunk though. Overall, it's not terrible, but it makes you wonder what we would have gotten if the Warrior would have participated.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the content and the hard work you've been putting out your videos have been on fire these last few months keep up the good work
Thanks for doing this video. I never got to see this Ultimate Warrior Bio. WWE hiding it says a lot. Watch this video everyone before WWE tries to take it down.
Found this channel a few months ago, and decided to go back and binge watch everything. Comparing the old to the new, they are both great and very well done. Future episode idea for you to put the old vs new; Steve Mufuggin Blackman VS Meng fantasy match! You would definitely have so much fun with it.
I remember watching this when it came out. I do think there's some aspects of Warrior's criticism that hold some truth. But it's exaggerated and turns the majority of the video into a burial. I do find it it funny how they completely changed the narrative once WWE and Warrior got back on good terms. And that's not even the only oldschool WWE DVD where that happens.
@@That_Guy- It sounds more to me like "Medieval Steel" (by the group of the same name, in the album of the same name), by near the end of that song there is a highly energetic guitar solo that sounds a hell of a lot like what would become Warrior's entrance music.
Taker must not have wanted anything to do with this. Also, warrior apparently wore the ball cap because he didn't want to get cut by the picture frame.
@@lexkanyima2195 at first, I was thinking this because it skips right over just the taker/warrior feud in 1991 and i thought maybe taker didn't want to join the dogpile. Then I remembered when this dvd came out, it hadn't been very long after taker going back to being the Deadman, and he steered clear of interviews for years to protect the character.
"He was better than those warriors. He was the best warrior. He was....the ultimate warrior." Please tell me you wrote that yourself, that's hilarious.
I love this video... The Self Destruction one. It was wonderful It perfectly captivated the mythos and insanity that was the Ultimate Warrior. It is one of the single greatest wrestling videos ever, and I wish there were so many more of this kind.
I always thought warrior being from parts unknown was awesome. Warrior was my favorite growing up. Warrior vs hogan was my absolute favorite. My brother was a hogan fan, and I couldn't stand him. So it was awesome having my favorite beat the unbeatable hogan. Still one of my favorite wrestling moments. Knowing what I know now though, Lol. I still think the character is one of the greatest ever.
Every other wrestler was billed from parts unknown or something similar so it was such a weird thing to make fun of. They were really trying to bury him hard.
If Warrior didn't make it to WWF he would have found work somewhere like we all do. The WWF isn't the only job in the world nor is it the only wrestling promotion so no matter what, Warrior would have had a job doing something. Maybe he wouldn't have gotten the fame or fortune that WWF provided but they make it seem like the WWF was the only job he could have gotten. I've owned the regular version and the 2 disc FYE exclusive and it's a complete joke. The Ultimate Warrior is a real life Cinderella story and he worked his ass off to get everything. Maybe he couldn't wrestle but neither could Hogan. Maybe he was a liability in the ring but so was Andre or Yoko. Maybe he demanded more money but so did Double J and Jake the Snake. I was there at WrestleMania 8 when Warrior made his surprise return and I guarantee that he got the biggest pop of the night, and it wasn't even close. WWE went back and edited the reaction so it wouldn't overshadow Hogan. Warrior truly is one of only a handful of wrestlers who could say that they were true Top Guys in the WWE and Vince allowed him that opportunity, that's the true story.
Jim (Ultimate Warrior) is a very polarizing person. One hand you can say 'yes, the WWE DVD about him was a hit piece, meant to tarnish his legacy, definitely.' But on the other hand, you can find plenty of videos of Jim acting strange, doing strange things, saying strange things, and even some rather hate inspired and violent things. And a lot of his personal videos are like looking into the mind of a paranoid delusional. But then again, there are videos of him being calm and kind and articulating his side of things in a way where you go, 'Oh yeah, he's a pretty good guy.' So I don't know which Jim is the real one, maybe they are all him, or maybe he was working us the whole time to keep the heat on. What I don't like is it is certainly political, too political for my taste. There are other wrestling personalities that I respect who let their hatred for The Warrior skew every word that comes out of their mouth. I won't mention names, **cough** JimCornette **cough**. First off, any politics in conversation means you can't trust the conversation. But another thing is the politics of this issue don't always seem to match up with the actions of the WWE and Vince McMahon. Because the WWE kept going back to Jim and kept trying to make him the second coming of Hulk Hogan over and over and over. They threw a lot of money and promises at someone they claim has such a tarnished legacy.
Helwig was never polarizing, the people who hate him WORKED with him, and the people who liked him didn't. Knowledge is important in any environment and those who had to work with Jim thought he was a lazy, arrogant moron with insecurity issues.
@@nothingtoseehear5012 I do, because the ONLY people who liked him never worked with him. In order to be polarizing, such divisions must come from people you've worked with.
@@DR3ADER1 I knew you were too lazy to look it up so here goes. Polarizing: inherently divisive, often loved and hated in equal measure. You're about to make up your own rules for something else. Here's something to think about. Those stupid rules you make up in your mind, no one respects those, acknowledges them, or plays by those rules but you. To anyone, wrestling related people or fans, that say they don't understand the warrior's promos, that's not the warrior's fault that their comprehension level is that of a doorknob. It's your own fault. I'd rather hear Warrior talk anytime instead of hearing Hogan say "brother" 50 times in a one minute promo, or Ric flair saying woo like a boring flabass all the time and saying the same three other catch phrases for decades.
Now imagine a DVD like this about somebody who was actually a great wrestler, good promo and a role model of good behaviour. Bret Hart was smart enough not to let them do this to him
This video of looking back on "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" on Wrestling Bios is much better than Bruce Prichard and Conrad Thompson's take on this.
This DVD is, like Cornette once said, just the WWE putting people in a room and telling them to tell the truth about the Warrior and their experiences with him.
The other wrestlers saying Warrior's promos were anything but amazing is either just blind pettiness or them just going along with the trashing-theme of the documentary. His promos were the best of the best. They were great because they were so surreal and insane. That was clearly what he was going for.
I don't care what anyone says. The warrior had the most manic entrance, running to the ring, shaking the ropes running from corner to corner like a Tasmanian devil. So much presence. Wasn't the best, still put on some of the best performances.
He was my favorite as a kid.... The biggest day of my young life was when wrestling came to my home town. It was amazing how he electrified crowd... I'll never forget it....
Everyone who grew up with WWF loved the Ultimate warrior character. That quote from Bishoff was perfect. Warrior let his own ego mess up what could have been the biggest legend in wrestling ever.
EVERY1. I didn't no ONE kid back in the late '80s and early '90s that WASN'T crazy about The Ultimate Warrior. Waaaaaay more popular among the youth than Hulk Hogan
I truly think that UW was Goldberg before Goldberg. A phenomenon that can only be understood if you were a fan at the time. In the moment, he had something about it that masked his flaws, but once the magic was gone, people that came after either of them couldn't quite understand.
Bischoff does a good job on his 83 weeks podcast talking about how creative he thought the Warrior was albeit went way too far in his promo. I thought he gave him a fair shake on there. I remember when I was younger buying this dvd and couldn't believe how badly they dissed the Warrior in it, but it was sort of the era where you were still allowed to do that sort of thing.
Warrior was a LEGEND. He is one of the most notable memorable characters ever in history. When anyone views warrior, it's an unforgettable impression period especially for those of us who are from the 80s. He's more memorable than anyone trashing him by far with the exception of Hogan in my opinion.
@@perfectblindguy Not in my book. He did things the right way meaning his way. He was a selfish prick who made things favorable for himself in each way. He worked smarter not harder than his peers and got further in many ways with less work.

I hear all this talk about how the Warrior didn't have any wrestling skills - well, I also heard about how hulk Hogan had, pretty much, the same amount of "talent" as the Warrior, so WrestleMania 6 was a battle of 2 equal forces, as evidenced by the division of the fans between the Warrior and hogan
As for the warrior's promos, some of them didn't make sense , but there were a few with a Warrior theme involved you had to listen to it a little more slowly and reflect on them, you might just find a few morsels of knowledge in them.

According to Mike Quackenbush, Japans structure their match in two phases, "wrestle wrestle wrestle" (the long rest holds I mentioned) and then the finale.

Also Hogan: Stands on the apron on the hard camera side, hijacks the belt, makes a scene handing it over.

@@DR3ADER1 I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Gary Hart managed Warrior during his time in Texas. I'll always remember these quotes from his book.
"You know, with the right training, you could go on to become a great wrestler."
- Gary Hart
"I don't want to be a great wrestler. I want to make money."
- Warrior
only a mark would care about being a "great wrestler", the business is about making money
@@zachary_attackery Where did they say they were only talking about in ring work Einstein?
His lack of basic wrestling skills endangered other wrestler's careers.
@@areguapiri He only cared about himself.
I get both sides of Warriors Dads death. More then likely he was mad and sad bc he didn't get any closure something happened to myself with my mother that was completely insane...
Absolutely agree. I haven’t spoken to my father in 24 years. When and if he passes before me. I will still have sadness and regret.
@McAndy78 gaming That’s awesome. I know I “wrestle” with it every so often.
@@timewithoutconsequenceI have to ask, as someone who isn’t on speaking terms with my father, and not inclined to feel anything when he dies, why would you have regrets or sadness?
The Warrior was a real life comic book character.
He was even "Cartooney" in some Ways i would say
With the mind of a real-life comic book villain.
I just remember going into WM-6 a Warrior fan and coming out a Hogan fan, but I do agree with your end statement and as all ways an excellent review, cheers
Facts I rather hear Warrior then Ric Flair saying "wooo" 20 times lol
@@Antoinedunaway Absolutely! Excellent post!
Not hard to have a better take than Brother Love and Conman Thompson.
@@zlinedavid I thought Rob Conway was the Con Man and doing things the Con Way
@@zlinedavid what do you have against Conrad? I always thought he did a good job of calling out Prichard on his BS.
I still own the dvd.dont care what anybody says in it,I'm still a huge warrior fan.he was hands down my favorite wrestler as a kid.
Warrior let his own ego mess up what could have been the biggest legend in wrestling ever.
lol except a lot of us DO consider him to be the biggest wrestling legend ever.
My favourite match of all time is Warror vs Savage from WM7. This dvd was a total hit job.

Photoshopping the Warrior as the WWF Champion in 1996 is an obvious red flag. What were they thinking???
Warrior was a LEGEND. He is one of the most notable memorable characters ever in history. When anyone views warrior, it's an unforgettable impression period especially for those of us who are from the 80s. He's more memorable than anyone trashing him by far with the exception of Hogan in my opinion.
He is a legend for all the wrong reasons.
@@perfectblindguy Not in my book. He did things the right way meaning his way. He was a selfish prick who made things favorable for himself in each way. He worked smarter not harder than his peers and got further in many ways with less work.
Bashing Warrior’s ring and mic work became the cool thing to do but between ‘88 and ‘91, how many wrestlers made more money for the WWF than him?
I remember him being a fan fav and something about that energy was crazy. His contemporaries not liking him doesn't change that for me.
Don't care what anyone says. I loved the Warrior as a kid and I still get a kick out of his matches today. Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't a good actor, but everyone knows his name because he had charisma and a presence and sometimes that's more than enough.
Yeah only good things he done was The Predator, and Terminator 1&2...
As much as I despise him today I gotta acknowledge that Schwarzenegger was an excellent actor...
Total Recall is my favorite movie of his.
@Master of Boobs Commando was brilliant.
@@coreyhall1150 Oh come on, Twins and Kindergarten Cop were gold! XD
