Having the Stray Demon kill Oscar the second time is especially humiliating, considering the Asylum Demon is the one who mortally wounds him the first time.
I never used this weapon in DS1, but I do remember having fun with it in PvP in DS3 when it first launched. I lost a lot, but I got a few messages from people saying they couldn't stop laughing, so that's a win to me.
Fun fact: Wanderer is the only class other than Pyromancer that doesn't get short-changed on its soul level. Pyro and Wanderer both would have 86 total stats at SL1, everyone else has 82-85.
It took me most of the video to realise when you were saying the 'pike charge only run' that that's what you were saying. I kept hear 'pie charts only run' and was absolutely mystified by what that could be hahahaha. Excellent run!
I like how challenge runs like this show that you can effectively make like a JRPG protagonist and flail your way into killing the creator of existence. Doesn't take skill. Doesn't take some godly weaponry. Just takes fumble after fumble. After fumble.
I love how consistent of a problem the lock-on in the Four Kings fight is on this channel. For those who don't know: their lock-on point is on their upper chest, and the fact that they twist around so much means that the point will often be to the side of, or even behind you, making strictly forward facing attacks very unreliable.
@@An_Entire_Lime You never had any problem when fighting enemies with the lock on camera in a souls game? like how the camera had a seizure zooming in and out while it's close to a wall, lock on randomly unlocks when the enemy jumps around, etc? you must have a very special copy of dark souls then
I love how logical it is to have a mechanic like this, but how comical it was implemented for this weapon, and how little they cared to carry it forward
You can't believe how happy you made me as soon as I've registered you actually renamed the name above the bosses health bar to fork kinks You're just the best
I love the speed up applied to the music. It reminds me of the days where I would press the play button halfway down on the tape deck to make it play fast
It may be that "unique" enemies don't reset when sitting at bonfires. I remember the black knight in Undead Berg chased me all the way to the bonfire and refused to poof when I sat there. First playthro memories aaaah.
That is correct. Technically the game is respawning all of the enemies that are reset at a bonfire. However non-respawning enemies aren’t affected by that as the game will never respawn them. So bonfire resets don’t affect them.
I know this is old, but recently a new way to move swap has been found, allowing you to completely swap the move sets of weapons. You can now fall on your face with a broken sword. Or something stupider, like swinging a dagger as if it were the heaviest thing in the world. Just some new cursed run ideas.
I find it impressive on where I think he's managed to break the game totally and run out of things to do, he always manages to come back with certified bangers like this and I become *gobsmacked*
Pun after pun after pun was hitting me hard. In a good way. Your ability and the creativity in some of the jokes is outstanding. Makes me think your intellect on top of however you got good at English is where a lot of that comes from. Like, you have much different perspective, wiring, and flexibility in thinking about what words to use/combine and when. Some of the puns catch me by surprise and sometimes it takes a while for me to get. That really makes your work unique and great. Was happy to catch some of this playthrough live. Congratulations on beating this game, again, with another piece of equipment I never heard of. Press has serious diligence.
holy shit this man has jokes, I don't think I've ever heard any script on youtube as genuinely clever with the puns and callbacks. So call me a masochistic recordkeeper cause imma sub scribe
I’m Ngl this is my favorite spear in dark souls and my second favorite weapon in the game after Grant tbh it’s a really good faith weapon if you make it a divine weapon and it’s OP af
Good lord the WORD PLAY! You good sir, have once again made quite an entertaining video. I love modding the pitchfork to make you fall everytime, such a silly idea
It is insane how press gives himself a challenge which most people already couldn't complete, and then add extra modifiers just to make it even more painful??? wild.
The Scarecrow only has a gun in one scene - the one right after they’re told to go kill the Wicked Witch of the West. The Cowardly Lion is also holding a big cartoon hammer, so the implication is that they all got geared up to kill the witch. Picture the “Guns, lots of guns” scene from the Matrix, but with Scarecrow instead.
The scareplow met the Tin Golem and afterwards he plowed his way through the golden paths of Anor Londo towards the not so coward Golden Lion and hopefully the Gwynzard of Oz
Nobody will see this comment and as such I can use it as a confessional, I have committed repeated tax fraud and am also still upset remembering that the gold coins in ds1 look pretty but have literally no purpose
The reason the Gargoyle in Anor Londo, and Oscar of Astora don't go back to their position when you sit at a bonfire, is because they don't respawn. There's only one of them, and after they're killed they're gone. For some reason, all enemies (afaik at least) that don't respawn, also don't get reset when you sit at a bonfire. Another one this happens with is the Berenike Knight in the church. He follows you all the way over to Andre's bonfire, and while he's too big to fit through the door, you can observe him walking back to his spawn, instead of just appearing there, after you sit down.
Fun Fact- Artorias is NOT left handed. He wields his sword in his dominant right hand, and a SHIELD in his left. That's why his LEFT arm is broken, because that's what happens when you block an attack with a shield from Manus one too many times. Artorias is weakened because he is now insane from the Abyss and he's down an arm, not because he's left handed. This rumor actually started because, I don't really know, I think Dark Souls 2, the souls game that is objectively the worst, says he is like once for some reason. Also most of the internet is stupid, so that helped. But no, he's right handed.
It's finally happened. The vanilla game has run out of challenge for the mighty Thera-Press, so he has turned to the dark magicks of game modification in his endless search for difficulty.

this video idea is hilarious
You should have only had boots on to make the shoelaces jokes better ;)
0/10: didn't fork charge into the ending.
bro is like "and lets double the bosses and blindfold me, just to make it fair"
For real hahahaha
This is why I love Press Continue, anti casual
There are plenty of mods that multiply the enemies or bosses haha
Are you sure he didn't say "d b bffjfjdoaksjjdjdjdjfj"?
Nobody knows what the deep English are saying
Having the Stray Demon kill Oscar the second time is especially humiliating, considering the Asylum Demon is the one who mortally wounds him the first time.
Yeah, this wasn't Oscar's best day...
I never used this weapon in DS1, but I do remember having fun with it in PvP in DS3 when it first launched. I lost a lot, but I got a few messages from people saying they couldn't stop laughing, so that's a win to me.
I feel like this run was particularly well suited to press. Due to his habit of falling out of skyscrapers😂😂
That happens... occasionally
You and Backlogs always manage to make the new best Dark Souls video every time.
Fun fact: Wanderer is the only class other than Pyromancer that doesn't get short-changed on its soul level. Pyro and Wanderer both would have 86 total stats at SL1, everyone else has 82-85.

Excellent run!
Ironically, you're not even the first one
It's funny that drinking Estus has a faster recovery animation than an attack in this run
Gotta appreciate the Press grindset of making puns even when streaming a stressful boss fight
Given all the flopping around with an occult weapon, I'm saurprised there were no "Unholy Diver" jokes
Ah, dammit. Didn't come to mind.
I like how challenge runs like this show that you can effectively make like a JRPG protagonist and flail your way into killing the creator of existence. Doesn't take skill. Doesn't take some godly weaponry. Just takes fumble after fumble. After fumble.
This came out really fast, didn´t expect it this soon!
Yeah I'm really rushing to get these 2 vids done before the 25th. So first one down, one left to go before then
That’s what she said

As someone who platinumed ds1........DON'T USE LOCK-ON IN GENERAL IT SUCKS 😂
@@muckus_the_macka7340 As someone who has platinumed every Souls game... use lock-on. There are better and worse times to use it.
@@muckus_the_macka7340I never really had a problem with it aside from the Four Kings

Just saw Ween play Loop De Loop live, that mini intro gave me a nice flashback lol
I love the speed up applied to the music. It reminds me of the days where I would press the play button halfway down on the tape deck to make it play fast
Ah the good old days of cassette tapes
idk why oscar didn't use the 5 estuses for himself instead of dying and giving his responsibility to save the world to a random skinny zombie

and i thought that was an issue with DSR 😮

Wait really??!!
Caught a few streams of this one, made me quite happy to be alive! Thank you for being you, Press.
your plays with words are out of this world 👌🏻👌🏻 love ur runs!
I watched the streams they were the first one so watched and it was a blast thanks press
This creativity earned a sub!! Well done!
Always excited to watch a new press continue video
22:43 "Thrust me" ^^
Another great video as always. Certainly didn't... fall flat.

I find it impressive on where I think he's managed to break the game totally and run out of things to do, he always manages to come back with certified bangers like this and I become *gobsmacked*
44:55 Love the dutch sounding ''NOUUUUU''
Parrying Gwyn like a king only to fall face down after slipping while attack looks so hilarious

The caduceus round shield is great for doing moonlight butterfly early
exactly what i was thinking
This man is one of the most masochistic souls players ive ever seen, and I feel like im watching the court jester step on tacks for comedy.
That song makes the Sif-fight an actually happy time, I'm thoroughly surprised and amazed
NEver the less, RIP Sif, Best Girl
16:58 Loved this section, reckon a lot of others feeling nostalgia of their first run through Sen's...
These long stretches of perfect poetic one liners and puns just stacked on top of each other are killing me
This should be a fun run.
"Fork Kinks" - Pure humor perfection As always @Press Continue great edited video, enjoyed it very much!!!
You should do a "Dark Souls 3: Demon's Fist spin attack only" run, it's soo goofy and useless that it would make a great video.
You know, Press, I'm really feelin' this run: I graduated at university in Agronomy (the science of cultivate the land)😅
I've heard so many variations of the "Americans are fat" joke, but that one legitimately got me. Well done
I adore any run of DS1 that makes Pinwheel an actually difficult boss fight.
I love how this dude find the darkest things in dark souls and make it a challenge run 💀
I have heard some pretty bad jokes and shitty puns
however in the last 57 minutes and 36 seconds i did not hear a single bad joke
Forkstein and plough was so sneaky it instantly killed me. Klompen.
As a pole i can confirm that youre cow is from eastern europe (top tier video as always)
Your Dutch accent has really grown on me. I also think you might need to see a therapist for all these very obscure runs lmao
Well I tried BEING a therapist for JK Leeds. I threw him out of my window. Does that count?
@@PressContinue lol
@@PressContinue I think hitting his head on the ground would change brain stuff.
Congrats on getting the video done for this run! and the many, many farming and poking puns, always a pleasure to get me more dad-joke material! :P

"SHAZOOO!!" ~ Some Cow...probably.

I always knew your plowing would lead to a ceaseless discharge...
The weirdest thing here, is this is the first time I saw a UA-camr use the term 'Arbitrary' and 'convoluted' correctly
I suppose that's especially a compliment given English isn't my first language
Love the wordplay and your delivery.
>starts a world war, TWICE
>"americans are so dangerous and dumb lol"
Banter aside, hilarious video. Liked and subbed.
the dutch didn't start the world wars wtf
also yes, americans are that 😅
20:40 The first rule of Gun Safety is to have fun. Don't judge us.
I really wanted the garden shears from the enemy.
Me too. Shame they didn't turn that into a usable weapon :(
Wanderer is literally my fav class in the game💀
It has good dex and has the coolest outfit.
Next one: The floor is lava (literally)
Lol, well if it's Elden Ring lava it wouldn't be much of a challenge. That stuff somehow merely tickles you to death
The Scarecrow only has a gun in one scene - the one right after they’re told to go kill the Wicked Witch of the West. The Cowardly Lion is also holding a big cartoon hammer, so the implication is that they all got geared up to kill the witch.

Falling every time?? What a forked up think to do to yourself...
Next challenge run: Oscar only run.
A fork+knife run would actually be pretty neat, although I don't have any idea on how to make it non-trivial
UA-cam captions caught Seethe as Steve and I couldn't stop laughing.
The scareplow met the Tin Golem and afterwards he plowed his way through the golden paths of Anor Londo towards the not so coward Golden Lion and hopefully the Gwynzard of Oz

"You fall if you miss..."
Well that doesn't sound so bad
"...so I modded it to always let me fall over"

clumsiest chosen undead in lordran
These videos are so underrated bro 🔥🔥🔥
Was playing DS1 earlier and one of the forest enemies dropped this weapon, so I had to come back and watch it again
As that comment on the community post said, exceptional thumbnail
I like how you call the Gargoyles "Gargles". It's probably just your accent but I call them gargles too. 😅
Press: "I place "Oscar of Astora, Hollowed" in attack mode!"
DarkSouls: "Your meager Knight is no match for my demon's ass!"
if this was DS2 the Artorias fight hitboxes would have _never_ worked lol, great video!
But of course then Kalameet went all DS2 on my ass with his terrible tail hitbox

Shazooooo
20:23 so fun fact with that, in the original book the scarecrow also had a gun, and even had a body count
Oh? Damn... that's a scarycrow
That working out joke caught me off guard
The Eastern-Europe Cow joke made me sub tbh.
Plowing face first into the iron golems crouch, couldn't have been a better scenario for this run
The puns are getting even more complex
What a forkalicious run !!!
Your intro music's on point as always i see
It's finally happened. The vanilla game has run out of challenge for the mighty Thera-Press, so he has turned to the dark magicks of game modification in his endless search for difficulty.
Ds2 with the dragon bone fist would be cool. I love that moveset, but it's so hard to use. . .
I did a run with those in DS2 when doing the mimic head run. but it was only a livestream
Oh, must have missed that one. 😢
But doing the same challenge twice seems pointless, so time for me to git gud and try myself
dark souls 2's parries have more frames when playing without the stat requirements, buckler feels like it has 2-3 sec parry frame with it
