    Great Video GLG! Did you actually apply the Bayer Garden Lawn Disease Control in this case or did you just grow it out? I'm interested to see if anyone has had results with that product?

    Another informative video so great help! Ive been battling with this for so long becoming really despondent over it ruining our lawn but now i know it’s Red Thread thanks to your video so I’ve purchase some disease treatment you recommended Bayer Garden so at last i can give that a try! Can you please also recommend a liquid nitrogen as couldn’t see in your link. I’ve found Elixir on Amazon if thats any good👍

    Hiya I just noticed some red thread in my grass. Its October and everywhere I read says not to apply nitrogen at this time of year. Is fungicide my only option to cure it?

      The grass needs to be strengthening its roots for the winter at that time of year otherwise it will come back weakened in the spring and even more vulnerable to disease.

    Hi, thank you for the video and your replies the other week. At what regular intervals would you recommend to apply the fertiliser until the red thread has gone, once a week, fortnightly, monthly? I like your tip about cleaning the mower. I’m also cleaning the collection bag now too. Cheers!

      depending on what fert you use i wouldnt apply it too much more compared to the reccomended dose on the label.

      Only in small amounts otherwise the grass goes such a dark shade of green it looks ugly.

      thanks steve think its around 27. you can weight out your product start low and dial it in from there. sometimes when im getting the feel for a new area i might do a few passes on a lower setting and then dial it up when i get the area and walking pace

    Hello Sir, thanks for the great videos. I applied some miraclegro fertilizer in May, but I applied it incorrectly using the spreader and ended up with stripes in the lawn. So not all the lawn was fertilized properly. Now the stripes have started to fade away. Is it worth fertilizing the lawn again before Autumn?

    • @GardenLawncareGuy
      @GardenLawncareGuy  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah you can apply it in the right conditions follow the pack, most will enable a second application and then another one in the autumn

    Can you use A1 and the envi seaweed product at the same time or do you have to wait in between each application ?

    • @GardenLawncareGuy
      @GardenLawncareGuy  4 роки тому +2

      I like to stagger, personally use the Granular as a base as it lasts 6-8weeks and then boost in the middle with the liquid seaweed and iron.

    Another great video.... After putting in my new turf in for 1 week now, I've noticed a lot of ants but cannot find the actual nest, do you know how I can get rid of those buggers. Pardon the pun

    • @robinac6897
      @robinac6897 Рік тому

      Get a tube of Nippon ant killer. If the nest is by a hard surface put a couple of drops about four inches from the hole. If it's in the grass put the drops on one or two green charity tokens they give you at the till in tescos etc. Best time is when they are foraging late in the day when it's warm. Keep experimenting until you've persuaded them to feed on it. They then take it back to the queen and the larvae and the nest is defunct within a week or two.

    The best solution for all lawn problems is to re-seed with tetraploid rye grass like they use on football pitches. It's got twice as many chromosomes and twice the root depth. No diseases can touch it.

      Garden Lawncare Guy SOCKS! first filling a spreader over the lawn, if you had a petrol mower I know exactly where you’d be adding fuel 🤣 think the lawn rebel has met his match! You need some safety crocs 😉

    That looks quite annoying . Have you had an issue with it on the front lawn as a result of having to keep it watered and being careful with the nitrogen?
    Fortunately I’ve never had a problem with it, although now I’ve said that I bet it starts to appear 😂😂
