Thanks for the response Eric. Up until this point I have used plastic and they last outside. I used elmers glue, because it was handy, for the last corps pumpkin. Came out looking good.
Cheri Hibbs thanks. Absolutely dries faster. The latex started to dry while I was using it. The glue is cheaper but took 3 days to dry. Plus side is a lot of working time with glue.
@@UnamedAccountLoL yup, I still have all the ones I made and I put them out every year. I want to try putting them outside but I am in Florida and the Sun eats everything.
How about this idea, once you applied the glue and cotton balls would it work to lightly torch the pumpkin to get the burn look. Is it safe to do that. Call it freddy pumpkin. 🤔🤔
The stems on foam pumpkins always look terrible. Your wire-and-foil technique is a fantastic upgrade. This is a great assembly-line project, since you can work on the second/third/fourth while the first one(s) dry.
I have never put these outside. Rain I am not worried about as they are latex rubber and foam, but I live in Florida and the sun would eat them up here. Cold weather might make the latex brittle. Could you skip the glue & build your face from paper towels/ tissue mixture?
I imagine it wouldn't offer the same texture as glue, but it's not worth doing. You never know-- it could be quite unique!
Wouldn't it be easier to carve the face before adding the Gorilla Glue?
Dope shit Mr. Boyd.

Couldn't you use expanding foam as well? That way you wouldn't have to what for glue to dry. Just curious. I probablyt give it a go. Thanks for video.
